Does anyone have a link to what exactly is in the kitchen of the villas ie frying pan, sauce pot, spatula....

We plan to eat breakfast in and one review talked about no skillets, could put a damper on eggs.

I see you found a list but wanted to add if you are missing the skillet or anything else, call mousekeeping and it will be replaced.

I noticed the list said highchairs could be requested. In our experience, they are always there already. We don't need one at this point in our lives and wish they were by request only!

I will be at BCV in a studio in a week and could inventory that - but I don't expect there is much there. My biggest question is what size coffee maker is it? I know the regular rooms have the smaller 4 cup, but I'm thinking I read somewhere that the villas have the large regular size coffee makers. I'm just trying to figure out what size filters to pack.

It's a full size 12 cup Mr. Coffee in both the studios and one BRs.

Okay I spent my time in between the TorT'ers doing some searches. Found a clue on a DVC Thread.

Allears has these lists.

Studio's (only thing I think is wrong is it lists glasses but it's all paper/styrofoam and plastic, not actual dishes.)

I think it is actual glasses. For sure, it is paper dishes. Real mugs.

Or better yet, if anyone is interested in sponsoring a trip for me to independently verify this information, I am open to that. Oh darn, kids are in school, so I guess it will have to be a solo trip! But I am willing to make that kind of sacrifice!!! ;)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

U2Rocks, loved your review. Thanks for sharing. :surfweb: Don't you love Dunes Cove pool? It is so relaxing and friendly, too.

Jaaron2, we love BCV as well. Enjoy our other two "homes" but are glad most of our points are at BCV. :grouphug:

It doesn't have to be a solo trip - I'll go with you! Now all we need is a sponsor. :)

Do all rooms at YC and BC have daybeds? There are only four of us, but sleeping arrangements with a 15 and 10 yr old can get difficult. We've been to CR and Poly and daybed was a life saver. If not, can you request a room with db, does it cost more? Thanks

Hi Ohiodisneyguy! First, I know how this goes - my brother and I are six years apart, and we really appreciated those daybeds when we were teens! I thought they were much more comfortable than a rollaway, and consumed less space in the room.

You can definitely request a room with a daybed - just call Disney reservations and ask them to add the request your reservation! Rooms with daybeds are not in a separate room category, so there is no additional charge.

I understand the room assignors put families of five in the daybed rooms first, so Disney cannot guarantee that you will have a daybed. We usually make very few (if any) room requests, and we've been lucky because Disney almost always accommodates our requests. On the single occasion that Disney could not accomodate our request, I told the CM at the front desk that we didn't need our room until later in the evening, and she was able to move us to another room. So if your plans for arrival day are flexible (or you are heading straight to the parks) consider offering to wait for a room with a daybed.

Have a great trip!!! :wizard:

Thanks Pixarmom. Would you know if there is a better chance at daybed at one resort vs. the other. Are there more db rooms at YC than BC or vice versa?

Does anyone recommend a particular room to request?

As has been stated here and in other threads, you really don't want to request a room by number as this really is almost impossible for them to fill. The room would have to be available the day you arrive which is probably worse odds than you get at the craps table in Vegas (which Teena knows all about). Figure out what room location is important to you (close to lobby, close to IG) or balcony setting you want (BC is either full or partial size - 50/50 shot vs. YC which is almost all full size). Limit your request to one important thing or add a second but don't push your luck by putting in three. If you look back on the pages in this thread you will get great ideas on how to word your request. Have fun planning!

Hi Bookgirl :goodvibes Looks like we'll be at the BC the same time as you! :)
Isn't Saturday FEB 5th??? I am pretty sure it is, as we arrive on the 5th around 7:30 am....it's going to be a long day, especially after flying all night long (midnight flight on the 4th direct to Florida....arriving early AM on Saturday!) Hope we still have some energy to explore after travelling on the red-eye :rotfl: Perhaps we'll run into each other, it's just my son and I and we are staying Club Level
Have and amazing trip!

LOL yes Sat is the 5th when we'll check in. We'll travel on the 4th. I'd probably take a red eye if one was offered. There are no direct SW flights from OKC to MCO so it was either fly Sat and lose at least half the day or fly out later on Fri and arive late.

Maybe there'll be enough people for a meet that weekend. I'm going to hook my LGMH (if I can find it) on my bag. I'm only on page 45 of the thread so I don't know if there are any BC pins left in Feb.

I'm really looking forward to YC/BC. It looks fantastic. I was in Atlantic City for a quick trip and my big regret was I couldn't get to the scenic shore of NJ. But I love the 'beach' motif and I think the atmosphere is splendid in the pictures.

You can PM Teena and she'll put aside 1 pin for your family...I believe just a page or so back she stated that she was going to start limiting the pins to 1 per family so hopefully they'll have a chance for the stock to last until FEB or later!! If I see you I will be sure to say hello! :goodvibes I am excited too, I just pray we are blessed with nice weather now! :cloud9:

Thanks so much, Teena and yes, that is a huge help. We ended up switching to BWV to a 2BR. Very sorry to miss BCV but maybe next time. Just felt daughter had to have regular bed with back issues. Thanks again for your help!

Where can I get on the list? I would love a Y&B pin......

Send a PM to TeenaS (you will find her name on many pages of this thread) and let her know the date your name, the date you are checking in and which resort. YC, BC or BCV. Check out the very first page of this thread for info about the pins.

Thanks Dee!

We are booked for 2 weeks next August in a Garden View Room at the Beach Club. I requested a full balcony on my reservation because DH and I like to sit out on the balcony after the kids go to sleep and those little balconies don't seem to offer much room!! I know requests are not guaranteed, but do you guys think I have a good chance of getting the full blacony as this is the only request that I have? I'm considering switching over to YC to guarantee that we'll have the full balcony, but I was looking forward to the theme at the Beach Club this time and a little change from the Yacht Club where I've stayed recently.

Oh the decisions!! :confused3

Ok now that I made the switch to the Garden Cottage at the Boardwalk, I am having major issues with that decision.

Only three have balconies from the bedroom area. The rest have ground level patios. Not sure if I want to sit outside for all to see.

Also from what I am reading the cast member up at their conceirge lounge are very, very unhelpful.

Looked I can move back to YC CL WV for 3 nights and then 2 nights CL Gdn View. Maybe I can get DH to agree to this as it is in the same hotel. Also it saves money

I hate myself now for looking at CL and mentioning it to him.

BWI CL staff is FANTASTIC. That being said I would never stay in a cottage. A big haul to get up to CL lounge. Just kind of a pain really. I loved being on the CL level. That being said, I thought I could never ever go to anywhere else but we tried YC CL last summer and THAT is our new favorite resort...

I think you need to come back to us. I'm working tomorrow and then off to help Jeanne in her class until Saturday and will not be near a computer. I'm sending you a PM now.

Teena, thanks for the PM. Will need to discuss with DH.

Thanks. Your opinion seems to be a minority as a number of posts that I have read say how unfriendly they are and how they seem bothered when you ask them something. I do find it hard to believe but I have read it alot.
