2010 news from the Magic

I got home and opened my 401k notice. I lost almost $10,000 in retirement money last quarter. I had said during and after the Med cruise, that there was no doubt if Disney decided to go to Europe again, that I would be in. It's really hard at this point to justify...that $10,000 REALLY hurt!!

The five night cruises are back to back. There is a 5 night on May 30, followed by a 4 night, followed by two five nights, then four and so on. The itineraries for the 5 night cruises though are different. The first one is a double dip at Castaway Cay and the next one has a stop in Key West.

Yes, I can see now that some of the 5 nighters are back to back. I was looking at 6/13 though. There must be a 4 nighter after that one.

Where are you seeing the Nov/Dec holiday sailing info? What are the sail dates of the Dec holiday cruises?

Jodie

Anytime when kids are in school is usually cheaper.

Gydell

I was told that we are not taking the kids out of school in future.

We did it last May Westbound Panama then the school told us not to do it again.

So look like we are taking the expensive month in July.

Presume you mean London

There are three main airports nearby in London, Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead, each are on the motorway network, (freeways).

M25 and m20 to Dover is easy.

Trains run from all and are on the airports but would require a change in London on the Tube.

I would come in a few days before and stay in London, its a great place to visit, then continue to Dover.

If going by Car, car hire or private town car transfer would be best, but train is also possible.

Disneyland paris is an easy option as well, Fly into Paris stay DLP, get the Eurostar to Ashford and short taxi to Dover.

Dover is about 45 mins from me by car, and 75 mns by train or car from central London, Heathrow would be a bit more.

Thanks! There will be 2 women and 1 8yo so we need something easy with our luggage. We are planning on spending a few days in London as the 8yo has never been. Is there a private car company that you know of?

We have a little time, there are a few I use, local people it would depend so much on flights etc, and where you come in to, Spending a few days in London is great, maybe the Paddington area, easy for Heathrow and a quick taxi to Victoria for the Dover train.

I'll keep this in mind. Thanks!

I wouldnt worry about transfers now, as we have so much time, but if you type an internet search of London Airport transfers 100s will come up.

Gatwick you can use BCP they do car parking and transfers for Gatwick,

One way car hire might be best if avoiding central London but do not dirve in London, very expensive,

I think its a typo error, they will not be that price on release, unless all of the banks go bankrupt before the 14th.

Can anyone enlighten me? I don't understand the pricing for the 2010 European cruises. There is a wide price range. I assume this is dependent on the cruise date. Also, what are the tiers that I've seen mentioned ?
What does FPO mean, nobody seems to know. I really want to do one of these cruises since we did the 2007 10 night Med and it was the vacation of a lifetime. I am trying to figure out what the strategy is to get a good price since it is so expensive. thanks

The prices go up in tiers, so the lowest price is day one booking at 8am, as soon as a certain percentage of Cats are sold lets say 5% of rooms the price goes up to the next step. The top price is where the price can go if the cruise sells quickly.

FPO I think means before the fuel add on price, is the first time I have seen it, -You have to add on Fuel surcharge.

I board the Magic on the 11th of October!!! I guess I will be rebooking when the dates open!!!
We are sailing then too~2dd 22,30 and dh. We are celebrating 35 years! This is my present. We

Anyone recommend a TA that I can call ahead to put in my bid? or is it easier to call at 8am on 10/14 and do the fight of a lifetime?

There are a number of quality TA's but apart from Dreams unlimited but you cannot post their names here, there will be long waits on the phones on the 14th, and you will pay full deposit, online is an option and 50% deposit. I would instruct a TA now if you want to use one.

If you type in Disney cruise line travel agent I am sure a few of the best will come up on the search.

We just did National Express Coach from Victoria Station to the Port of Dover this past summer and it was very easy and reasonable for the 3 of us. I was looking at booking a car service and it was well over $250. for the 3 of us one way. I think we paid about $50. on the coach for the 3 of us. Very easy to book it ahead of time on their website.

FPO doesn't really mean anything - it was an internal thing that they forgot to take off before going live with the info

As Andrew explained the pricing is in tiers. Also if there is more then one date the lowest price will be on the sailing that they will offer the lower price. So say the two dates offered are May and mid August I am pretty sure the lower price will be for May
