2010 news from the Magic

I am not interested in a bunch of sea days in a row. That's why I loved Celebrity Constellation's 14-day Transatlantic itinerery for 2009:

Harwich, England
Paris (Le Havre), France
Cherbourg, France
Cork, Ireland
Dublin, Ireland
Glasgow (Greenock), Scotland
at sea
Reykjavik, Iceland
at sea
at sea
St.John's, Newfoundland
at sea
Saint John, NB (Bay Of Fundy)
at sea
Cape Liberty, Bayonne, N.J.

There are a lot of options. DCL could also just announce half of the 2010 year and not announce the summer itineraries as they have done in the past. At this point it is anyone's guess on what they will offer

I wonder if they will do that, given the cat is somewhat out of the bag anyway? :confused3 The other question is whether we will be able to book these in Oct, or whether they will wait until January 09.

Rather than 'shorter' I think changes to make it better, Maybe Bermuda added in that would make it special, or Madeira, Gibraltar Tenerife, again,

Oh yes. I would rather the long cruise. After our PC one anything else is short!!!:lmao:

Andrew I think this is going to be as crazy as when we were booking the EB PC .. :lmao:

I do not know, there will be a fuss and a scramble, but for a lot of people the cost of the flights /Economy will put them off, plus a lot of people cannot get a lot of time off, it will be more popular than the 2009 Caribbean trips that opened to apathy, but not as frenzied as January 31st for the Repos this year.

Andrew how did you go on with getting one way flights? I was looking a while ago for next year, and the cost for 1 way was more than the return fare.:sad2:

I don't think it will be that bad. Many more people were booking the repo cruises and not the Mexican Riviera ones. This time I think the Europe cruises will be the big draw, more than the TA's, and there will be more of them to choose from.

Good point.

Oh it looks like it.

Lets just hope they stagger the days for booking to make things a bit less hectic.

That would make more sense, a different day for each cruise, but I think its all on one day-again! I think they feel as they bring the release dates ever earlier, that fewer people will be in the frenzy, they will base this on December 4th, 2007 for this year and say well that wasn't too bad and forget January 31st for the Repos and Mexico Rivera.

If they stagger them it will effect all thoose people who like to book back-2-back cruises and have the same room linked.

:goodvibes

even though I wasn't on the PC, any vacation shorter then 18 days is too short for me :lmao:

My son was crying before bed tonight that our cruise was far too short, 15 nights! He better get a job on there! I told him thats 5 x Wonder 3 night cruises, and 2 x a 7 night with a bonus day!

Oh, I learn so much being on here. I would like to do the Transatlantic followed by the next cruise(at the moment of course).

I just hope people remember to either book directly through DCL themselves or use a TA- not both. Multiple bookings by folks led to alot of the price increases. Once the prices go up, they don't come back down!

Exactly! And if you ask your travel agent to book it for you (I wouldn't) - don't grouse if you didn't get first-tier pricing!
