Hey Kim! I know what you mean! So much to do! I hope you have a great trip! It was wonderful spending time in the waiting room with you this year, and I can't wait to do it again next year -- from the other side of course!!

I'm super excited to be staying at the Contemporary! It will be the first time I've gotten to stay there and can't wait!! We've visited and eaten at the Wave, Cali Grill, and Chef Mickey's... but never have I gotten to sleep in a place with a monorail running through it (or a train, plane, tram, car, horse... can't think of anything else... and I might be wrong about the horse one... )!!

The past week has really flown by. I spent the weekend trying to catch up with some of the other 2010'ers and dealing with all the household chores I've ignored! I nearly finished the chores, but there is a Space Mountain sized pile of laundry that keeps refusing to fold itself!!

Anyways, when we have more info to share, or a trip report, I'll be back!!!

No sleep last night (and I ain't even a Mom!) so tonight taking it easy at Motel 6 and Monday Night Football (Free ESPN) and tomorrow will hit Disney and end the day with a vid of the Christmas Fireworks over MK from the Poly Beach.

Maybe I will go inspect that Contemporary place while I am there to make sure it is ready for the Moms?

A bit OT...but I had to share.

I helped a friend plan her trip to WDW (for next week) after she posted a 'help!!' message on Facebook and her response to my very long e-mail [that was full of 'must do's' and 'don't miss this!' recommendations] was:

"Wow...so how much does Disney pay you? hah! Do you secretly have mouse ears? Thank you so much. This is good stuff."

LOL! THAT right there made my day and made me think that "hey, maybe I DO know what I'm talking about!"

I'm home- and boy are my arms tired! I think I had great success with several vids, but won't be sure till I view. And no one else will know till I edit and compose! Didn't check out the Contemp, but did spend some time wandering about the Poly and now have much more affinity for that resort. And found a couple of little known spots on the water side that were great for viewing both the Electric Water Pageant (but I was too late) and the MK fireworks!

I can say that I expressed to Laura in a conversation that I would hope that they did NOT change the name from Disney Moms Panel. Even though I am obviously not a mom, I think "Disney Parents Panel" just doesn't "POP"! Moms Panel is more catchy!

And I don't mind being called a "Mom" at all!

For what it is worth.

That's awesome Doug! You deserve the well-earned "Mom" title. And I agree that the Disney Parents Panel would be a mouthful!!

We just got back from our Disney vaca at Bay Lake Towers -- what an awesome place. We also explored the Contemporary which I hadn't done before (except to go to the restaurants). They have this beautiful lighted Mickey wreath up on the outside monorail entrance to the contemporary. It's like half the building! Awesome!!

I think my Disney trip was the last thing I needed to do to completely 'let go' of the disappointment. It's so refreshing to be at Disney!!

And we have our next trip planned already!

I am busy packing for my upcoming trip. I have so many things to do that I hardly know where to start.

I do miss the activity on this thread but it is understandable. Everyone is busy getting ready for training and the rest of us are back to real life!
