**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

I'm thinking perhaps this question got lost in the Grape Getaway discussion, so I'll repost in hopes that someone can offer some feedback.

Can anyone tell me about the various speakers for the French Regional lunches? We thoroughly enjoyed our speaker last year, Jorge Hernandez. If you are attending the lunch on October 8 or October 10, you are in for a real treat! I don't know anything about the other speakers, though. Does anyone have experience with these other folks?

Oct. 3 - BORDEAUX - Adrien Laurent representing Baron Philippe de Rothschild
Oct. 8 - MACONNAIS & BEAUJOLAIS - Jorge Hernandez representing Georges Duboeuf
Oct. 10 - RHONE VALLEY - Jorge Hernandez representing Maison Vidal-Fleury
Oct. 15 - ALSACE - Alexandra Marshall representing Trimbach
Oct. 17 - ALSACE - Alexandra Marshall representing Trimbach

Oct. 24 - BORDEAUX - Alexandra Marshall representing Barton & Guestier

Try googling them if you are going...should give you a good idea of what they are all about.

We did the same one as redzinner. They had 10 samples of wines waiting for us. So, make sure you eat well before your school.

They did have some slices of bread on the table.

The reception was not much at all. I don't even think I got to try anything. We were busy chatting and missed the food. I don't think there was much anyway. Hopefully for you it will have changed.

One note - I think you will love Andrea Robinson! She is a wonderful presenter and is passionate about wine. Tiny little thing. And if her husband, John, is with her you will be in for a real treat! He has such a wonderful personality and is VERY nice to look at. ;) That presentation is one that I wish we could have gone to but it's just not working with our schedule.

Thanks for the info!! 10 glasses :cheer2:...that's great! My friend who is joining me is really into Pinot's so she's going to love this:thumbsup2:!! I was worried it was only a few...but since the "low-cost" demos usually have about 4 it's nice to know we get more variety here.

For sure...we'd better eat!!

Thanks so much for the info!

Lisa

Good morning!
I have been searching far and wide for any reviews on last year's Wine School(s)...I realize it will be different based on presenter (we are attending Andrea Robinson's this year) but I am trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Should we eat something before hand? I am thinking late breakfast will be in order!
..............

TIA for any guidance!!
Lisa
We're in the same session as you and I was wondering the same thing. We'll plan on eating right before or soon after.

We've not heard Andrea Robinson speak so I searched for her on the web and found her website. It has a bio, some videos and lots more.
http://www.andreawine.com/index.html

On her website she lists a wine from one of my favorite vintners (Chappallet) as one of her picks for this week - looking forward to the class!

Elaine

Not sure if this will help anyone in recognizing her but Andrea Robinson maiden name is Andrea Immer.

I first saw her on the Emeril cooking show.

Hmmm.. I wasn't even aware you could see your F&WF reservations on the site but I just checked and mine does come up. I'd call tomorrow and find out what's going on.

I called and they found all 5 of my reservations, They've got no explanation as to why I can't pull them up online. They thought maybe the F & W ressies weren't in the online system but I told them some people can see theirs. Three of mine are at Bistro, ones the Dessert Party & one is the Tequila Tasting. I had them book the MK Fireworks Dessert for me & I can see that one fine. I'll just keep checking for them, maybe they'll show up eventually since the whole dining thing is in Beta Testing still anyway.

i checked both of our reservations yesterday ... just to be sure. Everything looks good. :thumbsup2

I think I asked this before but not sure if I got a response (i apologize if I did and i have forgetten), what is the website to make the online reservations for the demonstrations beginning on the 26th?

Thanks!

The website url hasn't been released or published yet. We imagine a link to it will be available on the disneyworld.com/foodandwine url but not positive. When it has been published TDC Nala will place it on the first post of this thread.

As far as I know, it has not been announced.

Is it the 26th or the 28th that we'll be able to make reservations? I believe I heard the 28th?

I am now able to see three of my reservations online. The Dessert Party & Taste, Shake, Indulge still don't show up for me. So maybe it is the new ones that are glitchy.

Hi All Food and Wine Disneygoers,

I was so excited to see this post and your comment on Jorge Hernandez, I just booked this Lunch yesterday. I am a newbie to the Food and Wine Festival so for the first time ever when it comes to planning a Disney Trip feel lost. Thank you for the post and look forward to this event:yay:

Ah ok, thank you! I will keep a look out for it. :thumbsup2

Is it the 26th or the 28th that we'll be able to make reservations? I believe I heard the 28th?

Its the 26th for AP holders, DVC memebers and I think one other group, its the 28th for the public.

When I find out what the link for booking deminars is, I'll put it in the first post. It won't be active for another month. I don't plan to book any, so I'm not going to be looking for it personally, but if someone posts it I'll pick it up.

Does anyone know when they normally post menu pricing for the F&W booths? I'm working on creating Rating Cards to use and would like to have pricing listed on them. :confused3

I am not a 100% sure but i read it earlier here on another website it said the range is $2.25 - $7.75 for the food. I am not sure about the wine.
