Let me know if this is being discussed somewhere else... surely I'm not the first to observe that we're down to ~870 listings in the market according to dvcforless.com!

Could have sworn I saw it the 700s a couple weeks ago but I might be making that up. We like to comment when it goes above or below 1000 so this seems noteworthy.

With a few months left before dues hit and listings theoretically start flooding the market (I've read on here that's what happens), do we think inventory will continue to drop? Will prices rise accordingly or will tepid demand offset the low inventory?

Over on the ROFR thread, someone reported passing with loaded VGF at $145 and someone reported seeing a different VGF contact listed under $140. Very strange that listing seems down, ROFR activity down, and prices also down.

And, at the end of the day, every contract is an individual negotiation. Not every buyer and/or seller has any clue about the overall market. I made an offer today on a contract and, being someone active on these boards and well versed in the overall DVC market, I kept thinking to myself, this is really lowball offer, no way they're going to accept it. I almost didn't make the offer. Well, lo and behold, they accepted it without any counter! I almost couldn't believe it. Will share it on the ROFR thread as soon as I can.

I’ve only been following the resale market a few years (and have never been looking actively in Sep) but the ROFR thread is the sleepiest I can remember it being since early 2023.

Dvc email yesterday had a spot about the new 25 point minimum add on.
I will be interested to see if dvc moves some 25 point contracts for those resorts that maybe members did not know about the change.

No email here, as well. But I have noticed that sometimes emails from my guide are arranged to look like--and probably are--a mass mailing to all of his clients.

had to circle back and share! successfully grabbed one night in a studio for the end of my Thanksgiving trip. I had waitlists set up for BWV and BCV, and also have been stalking a couple of times a day. Plenty of other studios have popped up for the night I needed since I started stalking (VGF, Poly, OKW, SSR, AKV-K, BLT all briefly showed up as available) but I was holding out for specific resorts or view types, so didn't grab anything I saw while stalking. Waitlist came through just now for a BWV resort studio! Excited to have an extra day at WDW!

couldn't stay away from the slots. after my waitlist cleared at a 1 night stay in a BWV resort view studio, I waitlisted a BWV boardwalk view studio. it came through today! very excited for our first time staying boardwalk view at BWV.

No, it’s for all DVC members. Check your communications preferences on the DVC website and your MDE account website to make sure you’ve checked everything you want to receive. There is a long list of Walt Disney Company entities under MDE especially that you can accept or reject communications from. Despite that, I’ve read reports from members who still don’t get all the email notices they should.

thank you! BWV is at the top of our favorites, though we do not own there. maybe this will be the trip that convinces me we need to own ...it's happened often enough on these boards!
