My ds10 is home sick today, as his half of his school, our neighborhood and the wrestling team. He had a flu shot but our area is getting pounded hard by another strain. .

Yay, it's the weekend, so I am very happy - though it may have something to do with the two glasses of wine I had at our fave restaurant bar a little while ago well it is almost 10pm over here

Ah yes - the weigh in - well, the good news is - I lost, but.. the bad news is, it's only .2 - which is nothing, but - I'll take it! I lost the few pounds I put on over the past 2 weeks w/the eating out and DCL party we had (and the drinking!

Thanks for the 'luck' - maybe next week it'll be BIG! Yeah right, I already have lunch plans OUT tomorrow, and I don't feel like being 'good' -

Congrats! Any loss is progress. I get weighed in on Monday for the 1st time since the initial one at Curves. After all the work I really want to see some progress! Now I just have to try to be good this weekend

I will be on this sailing and the 8/28 3 night sailing.
It will be me, DD (16), DD friend (16), DMIL and DAIL (aunt in law)

We are celebrating DD's 16th birthday!

Michele....its sound like you had a really stressful day....time for a nice drink and hopefully a relaxing weekend. I think you made the right decision for your daughter...better safe than sorry. Hope your car doesn't have too much damage!


Its been another busy day here. My DH comes home from his business trip at 7am tomorrow but then we have to leave at 8am for a funeral in NJ (DH's uncle who had been sick for a while). I'm hoping for a really quiet Sunday!

Thanks for the welcome! I had cruise withdrawal last year. These will be cruises 3 and 4 for us. The last one was the 11 night Southern Caribbean.

Yes suzanne she was devistated at having to stay home and have her nails done with me and go out to lunch..lol She hates school

Well mandy i just dropped off austin at tae qwan do and some lady backed into my car like it was invisable she apoligized but i'm still annoyed that car is an accident magnet. No other car i have ever owned has had so many dings . I hope you have a nice rest of the evening. talk to you tomorrow

Sandy i am so jealous i would love to do a 11 day cruise my hubby only wants to do the 4's so he won't miss much work. Someday i will convince him.

Sandy - I would LOVE to go on any cruise more than 7 days! lol We did the 7 day a few years ago, and one 4 day in 06, so, this is our 3rd.

Michele - The 'ding' magnet - that is too funny! I am guessing there isn't too much damage, right? Not enough to call the police??

A's lol i wish.Those days are long gone once she hit high school i am lucky if i see an 80 average. her friends are her world not schoolwork. i have tried to stress to her that high school will reflect on her future career choices but she is still messing up pretty bad this year.

Thank you. We'll be in Linden, NJ. DH wants to take the kids since we don't get to see his cousins often. After everything is over I think we may stop at a mall nearby that has a Rainforest Cafe to give the kids a break and let them walk around a bit since we will be in the car a while (depending on traffic).

Wow I can't keep up with you guys. The 11 night was a dream. DD didn't get to go on that one because she couldn't miss that much school. DS got to go 'cause he was in 1st grade. This cruise is all about the girls. I have never done a 3 or 4 night so I'm looking forward to them. Thanks again for the warm welcome

Suzanne i should have taken your advice and stayed in.. I went to wendy's to get hubby a cheeseburger and as i am exiting the drive thru the guy with garbage walks right in front of me i slammed on my brakes i missed him by an inch. The soda went flying all over the floor and splashed on me. I stopped the car and proceeded to scream at the guy and clean the soda from my car floor while the other people were honking at me to move out of there way. I didn't care at that moment and proceeded to yell at them i would move when i was #$%^& done. I really lost it after the previous incident. I am in for the night now for my safety and the safety of others. Oh and i then drove back around and made them give me fresh food and new sodas. Hubby said i should have them pay to clean the floor but i doubt that will happen. O.k. i am done ranting now.
