2007 Packages & January

Does anyone know when the packages may be released for 2007? I'm thinking I may postpone my November trip and go in January instead. Is January still value season? How crowded is it? Is it a good time to go?

I would like to know too. We are thinking of changing from end of Sept. to Jan. we are worried about the it being crowded in Sept. due to the free dining.

I have read that 2007 package rates will be released anywhere from the first of August to mid-September, but it seems most area saying mid-August. January is value season. You'd want to avoid the MLK holiday, but from what I've read, the rest of the month is fairly uncrowded.

Thanks for the info. I'm just tossing around the idea of postponing, but was wondering how it was in January. Right now the flights are running me about $270, which is more than I thought it would be. I was just thinking that it may be cheaper all around to go sometime in January versus the day after Thanksgiving.

We went in late JAN/early FEB this year and the crowd level was low. We only used fast pass once - on jungle cruise at MK. We stayed 6 days with 2 1/2 year old twins and still managed to see just about everything we wanted to see. We're going the same time again this year because it's a great time to go!

We went in January this year and are going the same week next year. We LOVE January. Low crowds and nice weather. It is a great time to visit WDW.

When I called a week or so ago the lady at Disney travel told me mid september before packages rates and all are released. For now you can only book basic package room only.
