2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Good morning everyone. I have a Member Gallery Update for you!

I've added in Karen's (Dopey67) info. In addition Ursula sent in an updated picture.

I also have added in deck plans so you can see how close your room is to other DISers. When you go to the photo gallery you will see the room numbers are now hyperlinks. Click on one and it will take you to the deck plan for that floor. DISers rooms are highlighted in DIS green and there is some info next to each room with names and the thumbnail photos just like on the grid. As with the grid they should also be clickable to a larger photo.

Please take a few minutes to look over your entry and make sure I got everything right. In doing it I found I had one room number wrong and I would hate to have bad info up for you.

Yea it's getting closer.

Spent the week end at the beach. It was very nice. One bad thing my mom got sick and is in the hospital. Atl east she was with us and we got her to the hospital quickly. She had a minor stroke. So far there looks like there are no permanent side affects. We were lucky. She just had her 86th birthday last week.

Good luck Joanne - hope everything goes smoothly. Do you have other family in the area that can help? I know how hard it is when you start to change roles. I never went though it with my mom as she died at a young 68, but when my grandmother had a stroke at 90 she became like the child of the family, my mom stayed the mom, and I became the grandma (bringing the treats etc.). It was a very stressful time for my mom because often the caregiver has no one giving them care.

My sister is here visiting from California, so she has been a big help. It doesn't look like she had any permanent damage. So we were very lucky. She was supposed to go to California in two weeks with my sister. So I hope she can still travel.

I know this will seem pretty silly to most of you, but how do you know exactly what room you are in???

This is a bit off topic, but the Happy Mother's Day posts made me think of it....(happy belated mother's day to all of those out there).....

I figured there is no better group to ask then the expert dis/dvc members, has anyone ever attended the mother's day brunch at disney world???

How does it work and what kind of special things do they do for Mothers!!!

Again sorry to be off topic just looking into a trip for my mother next year as a surprise and wanted some input from experts if possible???

I've never done it, but here's a review of this past Mother's Day brunch by our own Webmaster Pete. Hope it answers all your questions.

First off there are no silly questions so if you have any more just ask away.

Did you get your confirmation from DVC for the cruise? If so on the second page will list the Cabin/Deck you are on as well as the Category and Dining Request.

Hi...... We are staying at Vero before the member cruise but will be looking to take a Disney bus transfer back to WDW following the cruise. Can anyone advise how we arrange transportation from the ship back to WDW? Thanks.....

We did this on our first Member Cruise (well we did one way to the airport not WDW). All you need to do is visit guest services. They will add the payment on to your room charge and put a sticker on your KTTW card. Then when the cruise is over just tell the porter you are taking the Disney bus. They'll walk you and your luggage over to that area. Someone will ask you what resort you are heading to and tell you which bus to go to. Very painless.

Yes, JOannel - had a WONDERful weekend.

Just returned from a four day on the WONDER. It was WONDERful.

Had a great time. I like those types of weekends.

Had to book for December 9th also with my DD and g/baby.
