2006ers - When are you going, where are you staying and how did you book your trip?

Can someone tell me when the marathon is in January? Thanks!

The marathon is Sunday, January 8, 2006 ;-)

We'll be there January 1-8, 2006. We'll be staying 5 nights at Old Key West (renting points from a DVC member here on the DisBoards) and 2 nights at Wilderness Lodge. I called last week and booked WL standard view. AKL standard view was already sold out for the 6th to the 8th, which I believe is the weekend of the marathon! Good Luck!

Sold out already at the WL during marathon weekend? Oh my...I better make a decision soon....

We will go for the 3 ds spring break which is probably around easter week next year. I wont book it for a while. I have a few options, swan with a govt. rate, ap rate if they have any at poly or contemporary, or just go with the one with the lowest regular rate, garden view or wing only. I have to look at the calendar. They go to a private school and I cant believe they mailed it this early. We usually dont get it until sept. We already have the ap's so that is over and one with, one less expense to worry about, hooray!!

We are in the planning stages for a Mothers Day 9 day trip back to POR. I am considering a split stay with Beach Club because we would really enjoy SAB but could never aford 9 days there. I might even look into renting some DVC points midweek. I'm a little concerned about switching mid vacation but we'll see....

We just loved POR and decided to book two add'l days to allow us more time at the resort.

I won't book until the fall, but I already have the resorts narrowed down.

The Value resort I want is All Star Movies, if we can afford Mod resorts I want the CBR, and if we really can splurge I want CR or WL.

We are going Feb.16-Feb.25. I booked the rooms through CRO at POP.The trip is to celebrate my Dad"s weight loss.He has lost 80 lbs so far.

July 14 - 24, 2006. Seven nights at YC CL and then 3 nights at AKL: we've booked the Royal Asante Suite!!!!! Can't wait. We called CRO direct and they booked but used this year's regular rates. They'll adjust the rates later when 2006 rates and seasons are announced.

I haven't booked our trip yet. I thought I'd read somewhere that you can't book more than 500 days in advance - - so I can book in about 3 weeks.

I'll book through CRO and apply the AAA discount if/when it becomes available. And, of course, watch for other discounts too!

Going to be booking the 2nd week of May 2006, staying at Coronado Springs and booking through Dreams Unlimited again.

The plan is May 11-18. Not sure yet if we are going to go with a package through AAA or do everything separte. I would really like to rent points and stay at OKW for half of our stay {14-18} would stay at POP for the first 3 nights, but DH likes the idea of the dining plan. So not really sure what we are going to do.
If we go with a package, we will probably stay at a Value {POP} or a Mod {POFQ} and go with the dining plan. Will check out AAA in Jan to see what they are offering since that's their Disney month.

We are going in June. We are signing our DVC papers right now!!!! So that means we are looking to stay at our home resort SSR BWV!!!!

Going July 9th through 19th (possibly through the 22nd or 23rd!). Haven't booked yet, but will probably book room only when AAA rates come out for '06.

We are going January 2-9 and staying at AKL. Went same time this year and it was great! Lots of runners at POR. You could feel their excitement. My DH use to run marathons,I know how much training it takes. Have a great time and good luck!

Planning on sometime in the last half of January for 8 or 9 days. Really thinking hard about trying to rent points and stay at Boardwalk. I am nervous about this as I have never done it!

I've booked the CSR for 8 nights, May 27-June 4, 2006 - can't wait! We've never done a major Disney Vacation like this and it's hard to wait this long (374 days).

We are planning on September (week after Labor Day) and staying at Beach Club Villas. One of my best friends is a DVC member and is selling us points. I'm very excited but we can't book until Feb. But I can always hope it works out.
