For those that are wanting to price all of their options before calling, there are two ways to approximate the total...
1) You can price online for a 2005 res that matches your travel season..for example, if you're visiting in January, price a time frame in September, since they're both value seasons at all properties. If you're going next summer, price October dates in 2005 since it's regular season. Peak would be mid-Feb-end of April 2006-no more peak times left this year except holiday season in December. (right??) The 2006 rates are on average no more than $5-$7 more a night on the resort and the dining is 37.99 ages 10+ and 10.99 ages 3-9. This should give you an idea, and if you're pricing peak time at holiday rate 2005, it should be less when you book.
Still with me?
2) The room rates for 2006 are available, not sure if it's on the official site yet, but I kow thery're floating around the "information monorail" known as the Disboards. You can calculate the components separately...room rate * 1.115 for tax (1.13 if at All Star)..dining at 37.99/10.99 as mentioned above, and tix on the disney site are pre-tax, so multiply that by 1.065 (sales tax) and you again should have an idea of total cost.
Let me illustrate...
1) For value season 2005, using the "Disney Household" of 2A 1child 10+ and the other 3-9, for 7 nights with 7 day hopper and dining is about $2500 w/tax. the tix and dining prices are no different for moderate or deluxe resorts, so an upgrade to a moderate is about $60 more per night and deluxe resorts vary from $120-250 more per night. All based on rack rate, of course. Figure $5-$7 more per night for 2006 and difference in dining plan and you should have a total that is close to 2006 price by a few dollars.
2) Ok, sorry but at this point I'm too tired to illustrate this example, but I think the seasoned Dis'ers can figure this out. LOL if all else fails, just call! It's what they are there for!
