Tomorrow is the big day that we finally get away from this cold and snow.

Deanna has a 1/2 day on Friday and when I found out they were having the kids go to all 6 classes (20 minutes each) I decided to have her not go and we could leave early Friday morning. Then I thought we might be able to get out of here tonight when they got home. I love traveling through the night - alot less yahoo's on the road.

With the snow day yesterday, Deanna realized that she would be 1 day behind in getting her building built in her Tech Ed class. She was going to turn it in today but now she needs today to finish it up and she won't be able to turn it in until tomorrow. So now we are back to leaving at 11 am tomorrow.

So just one more yahoo on the road tomorrow? :lmao:

Bear with me, I've been snowbound for too long!! Have a safe trip guys!

Hey, Hey Hey now! I can't be one of the yahoo's on the road since I'm the one who knows if the driver is a yahoo or not :rotfl2:

I'm just hoping Ohio and Kentucky have I-75 cleared. Dec 05 was one very long trip with being stranded on I-75 in Ohio.

Gail, safe travels to you, John & Deanna. Have a great trip! :dance3:

And, I hope you don't end up stranded in Ohio. I would imagine that would be enough to tear your hair out -- sorry, Ohio friends. :rolleyes1

Strange I could have sworn I heard John say he was NEVER driving to WDW again yet I read that just the opposite is true:confused3

I hope the trip goes well and you dont get snowed on ! :cool1:

Yes, he did say that now didn't he! I think his cheap side won out - the cheapest for airfare for the 3 of us was $1000 and over plus a car rental - since he swears he will never take ME again!

Actually this was going to be just me and Deanna going on this trip, but in January he decided that he would be able to get the week off from work, if I kept the vacations to just 2 other weeks during the year. Now we know that doesn't mean he won't be working while we are down there. :surfweb:

OMG the funniest thing is going on in my house right now.

John has been waiting for a UPS package (a battery for a client) that he needs to take to a client by 5 PM today. UPS has not showed up so John called his client to tell them he's going to be a little late. Problem, they wanted him to be there by 5 PM when the last employee left. Normally it wouldn't be an issue, but they are having a party at the bar for some employees that have quit. Who wants to be late for that???

John has called UPS to see if they have a time frame that it will be delivered. He called them about 3 PM but they haven't called back - do ya think they are ignoring him :confused3

His client just called and UPS has stopped at their office for a delivery and the girl asked if the driver also delivered to our neighborhood. No he didn't but he gave her a direct line to call to check on the package.

John calls the number, the girl called the driver and the package will be delivered in the next 10-15 minutes. John thanks the girl for the info and then she asks him if he knows anywhere she can get a good deal on buying a car. She went into what cars she's thinking of buying and what are her best options for financing. He's been on the phone for 10 minutes with her. He's walking around the house with the oddest look on his face and mouthing OMG I can't believe this girl. The UPS truck came before he got her off the phone :rotfl:

We must be going on vacation, because we always have one of these last minute problems that come up just before we leave. Funny, this is the same client that he was working with while we were at Member Homecoming in 2004. Thanks to Mark & Mary and using their laptop he didn't have to fly home and fix their problem. That was the last time he went away without his laptop even for an overnight trip. :surfweb:

Got Snow?

Not the best pictures, but it's 6 degrees out, windchill -9, so I wasn't stepping outside to take them! Just another reason why I need to move to Florida---SOON!!

Out the front door:

We won't be getting out the front door anytime soon! Luckily we use the garage door! That drift is almost up to the door handle.

The backyard. That thing in front of the tree is a BBQ. :lmao: And the slide twists back around and drops you out of the front part, to show how much is buried!
DSC06118.jpg

And would you believe me if I told you there's a very big swimming pool in that picture? Those lumps around the perimeter are bushes that stand about waist high.

Holy Smokes Diana! That's a lot of snow you've got there. (And you can keep it. :rotfl2: ) I saw a few more flakes drifting, just floating in the air, this morning. Even that's more than enough for me!

When I went to pick Deanna up from her friends yesterday, I saw this huge pile of snow on the side of the street. It seems the guy from across the street must have a truck with a plow and he drove out of his drive pushing the snow and left it on the other side. It wouldn't have been so bad if he would have pushed it more up onto the grass. Now if 2 cars are coming down the street, one has to wait so they can go around this snow hill. I guess he's just glad that his driveway is clear :confused3

I don't know about Michigan but in NY that is supposedly illegal to do that but I don't see anyone getting tickets when they do do it.

Congrats om some milestones today!!!!

Gail - Safe travels. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the roadways will be clear!!

Nothing personal I do not want to slide down the slide into the big pile of snow! :lmao:
I've had about enough snow thanks!

Well I thought I would add to the snow pictures!

This is my car in the driveway.

The other side of the driveway.

Going out back to the shed which does not sit on the ground. It sits up on cinderblocks so It's elevated off the ground.

Oh wait, we didn't get any. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good morning everyone. Found us at the bottom of the page.

We're due to get a few more inches of snow tonight. I'm more than ready for winter to be over!

Robin, cute pictures ;) :rotfl2:

Stacy, Diana & Erin, you all make me glad that I live here. Believe it or not!

Gary breezed through the kitchen yesterday as he was running out the door and asked if I wanted to move to Florida. Kissed me and went out the door. You don't drop something like that on me in the morning and then run out to work. :car: HSBC has offices in Tampa ( Amy) and Jacksonville ( Carol). He later emailed me to say he was going to see what kinds of jobs were offered in those location. :scared: Oh My! As he was out running errands and at a meeting last night, we didn't even have a chance to follow up on this conversation......yet!

Walker's birthday is tomorrow and we're hosting 12 little boys at Laser Tag. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Erin, Walker wanted to invite Nick but I told him that it was a little far for a birthday party. And, Julie, Matt was on his list too. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
