Got Snow?

Not the best pictures, but it's 6 degrees out, windchill -9, so I wasn't stepping outside to take them! Just another reason why I need to move to Florida---SOON!!

Out the front door:

We won't be getting out the front door anytime soon! Luckily we use the garage door! That drift is almost up to the door handle.

The backyard. That thing in front of the tree is a BBQ. :lmao: And the slide twists back around and drops you out of the front part, to show how much is buried!

And would you believe me if I told you there's a very big swimming pool in that picture? Those lumps around the perimeter are bushes that stand about waist high.

Yikes, Diana, that's a lot of snow.

It sure is!! According to my handy dandy yardstick (which is now buried in a drift somewhere) we got 23 1/2 inches. :scared:

Which one of your girls could go out there and not appear underneath it all. :rotfl2:

Julia is 36 and Emma is 40inches, but there's some drifts out there that are over their heads. And if I sent them out for the mail, they'd never find their way back home! The piles from the plow are over my waist. Oh girls----:rolleyes1

But notice how nicely Bruce cleared out the mailbox area. I told him I was expecting some Primas! :lmao:

Yikes Diana! That is a lot of snow. How nice of Bruce to clear your path so you can receive the Primas!

We didn't get near what you did but I did notice today that our Mickey and Minnie statue we keep in the garden is buried and all you can see is Minnie's bow sticking up.

:surfweb: Good Morning DisSers,

Just wondering if all made it through the storms. The pics that Diana posted are EYE OPENING. Detroit got some but not nearly the amout that upstate NY got.

Glad to hear all are well,

Great pictures Diana - well I guess not for you :rotfl: I love the pool slide - it looks like a slide to nowhere.

Don't get lost!

Our neighbor next door shoveled his driveway last night with his car. Up and down and up and down.

When I went to pick Deanna up from her friends yesterday, I saw this huge pile of snow on the side of the street. It seems the guy from across the street must have a truck with a plow and he drove out of his drive pushing the snow and left it on the other side. It wouldn't have been so bad if he would have pushed it more up onto the grass. Now if 2 cars are coming down the street, one has to wait so they can go around this snow hill. I guess he's just glad that his driveway is clear :confused3

OH MY snow and 30,000. Congrats Cindy on snagging the 30,000 post.

That kind of reminded me of the olden days -- as in SSMC05. :rotfl2:

Tomorrow is the big day that we finally get away from this cold and snow.

Deanna has a 1/2 day on Friday and when I found out they were having the kids go to all 6 classes (20 minutes each) I decided to have her not go and we could leave early Friday morning. Then I thought we might be able to get out of here tonight when they got home. I love traveling through the night - alot less yahoo's on the road.

With the snow day yesterday, Deanna realized that she would be 1 day behind in getting her building built in her Tech Ed class. She was going to turn it in today but now she needs today to finish it up and she won't be able to turn it in until tomorrow. So now we are back to leaving at 11 am tomorrow.

Did anyone buy into ak? We bought more SS points while on the cruise, but now wished we had waited.

We bought SSR points on the cruise also. I really like AKL (we stayed there last March and September for the 1st times). As much as I like it, I don't see us purchasing points there. I'm still curious as to what the maintenance fees will really be like once it's open.

Congrats to Cindy on post #30,000

Congrats to Diana on reply #30,000
