OK, so we're back from the pageant and the celebratory lunch at Friendly's. My little sheep was oh-too-cute!! The whole class did an awesome job. And it was really nice how the school put together the pageant because each role was totally equal as far as participation. The only kids that had lines was the Joseph who said and I quote "Got any room?" and the inkeeper who said--"NO". Then as the teacher read the story each character got up and joined the Mary and Joseph at the cradle. It was too cute!!! They did a bunch of songs and went through all the stuff they've learned this year, I was totally surprised because I had no clue they had learned that much!

Karen and Mary - Loved the Santa stories. If you didn't see, a local man was kicked out of MK because he looked like Santa but was dressed in street clothes and when the kids were asking him questions about their presents he played the part so well Disney promptly escorted him out because of some copyright or character infringement. And I thought the Grinch was only at Universal. :confused3

I read about that. How terrible. I can't see what the issue would have been for Disney. It's not likely that they would be in a lawsuit because a guest addressed children as Santa.

Gooood eeevening

LOL you are like our own little Santa making a list... checking it twice ;)

For those that go to The Melting Pot you can sign up to be on their email list and they will immediately give you a coupon to print out for a FREE dessert fondue for two. VERY YUMMY! Make sure your printer is ready because they won't send you another.

Ian was standing by me when I first saw this adorable picture and he said "Emma Cute". (You know he has a thing for older girls. ;))

It sounds like it was a wonderful class presentation. I'm amazed how much little ones are learning in school these days. I remember in kindergarten one of the activities we had to do - a lot - was draw a line down the center of a path for a check+, check, or check-. I'm still not sure what the point of that was. Now it seems like kids are doing long division by 1st grade. Okay not really, but I am impressed with the things they teach in preschool and it's so much fun to see firsthand what's going on in the classroom.

Emma is the cutest little sheep!
Robin, Ian has grown so much since the cruise.
Happy Anniversary to Amy and Chris...you started a conversation here that went like this:
Me: how come everyone on DIS has different restaurants than we have here?
Son/Murt: what makes you think that?
Me: they are all raving about a place called the Melting Pot that I've never heard of and they all live in different places, FL, OR, TX, OH.
Son: We DO have one!
Me: we do? where?
Son; It's in Natick and it's a fondue place.
Me: Oh that's dissappointing, I don't think I'd like fondue!

So why is fondue so good..is it just a fad type thing?

Hi Everyone...We have been so busy I think its been almost 2 weeks since I last posted...I'm not going to be able to catch up anytime soon...So forgive me! Lauren(Tim's dd) turned 3 on Monday, and Haylee turns 8 on Thursday, and then Christmas...We are going insane...Then we are going to Minneapolis for New Years Eve weekend, so we have to get that all ready.

Hope everyone is doing great! I'll try to do a little catching up while I'm waiting for Tim to get home from work. :)

Happy 5th night of Hanukkah to all who are celebrating tonight.

You would think it was just a fad, but I remember going to a fondue restaurant with my family nearly 16 years ago. David and I used to go for special occassions, but with Ian we tend to pick more family friendly places now.

What I like about it so much is the relaxing atmosphere, as much as the food. There is no way you can rush through a meal at a place like The Melting Pot since you cook your own meal, one piece at a time. You wouldn't want to go there if you're in a hurry.

David and I usually get one of their meals for two which includes a cheese fondue, salad, entree fondue, & dessert fondue. There are so many choices but we tend to pick the same thing each time, except for dessert. That we like to experiment with. Dark chocolate or milk chocolate, and which liqueur? Mmmm, I'm drooling

just thinking about it. We may need to find a babysitter one night soon...

Ohhh, that is SO right, you can't rush dinner at Melting Pot. We got there for our 6pm reservation at about 6:03pm. We left there at 9:10pm. It was SO tasty and relaxed. The manager even gave us a champagne toast with our dessert to celebrate our anniversary. We do the same thing with the 4 course dinner and it was yummy, yum, yum. And, our dessert was dark chocolate with Bailey's Irish Cream. The only problem, I am still full this morning, and don't know that I'll be eating breakfast or lunch today.

Thanks again for all of the anniversary wishes everyone!!! It's nice to share it with our friends!!!

Good morning everyone!

Amy - sounds like your anniversary dinner was nice and romantic.

Robin - thanks for giving us a nightly look at the Hanukkah Celebration.

Tina, did you and Tim decide about the Great Wolf Lodge???

Amy how nice of the Manager to give you two a champagne toast. Sounds like you and Chris had a very nice dinner
