I realize to her that's the best role ever. My ultra competive side would have wanted Mary and nothing else.

KT was just cast in a play....Kabuki Japanese Theater. It was a fiasco with the auditions (they changed the dates and didn't tell me so I technically didn't find out until the auditions were over. KT "auditioned" at the second call back)

Anyway, she was cast as a ghost. I, too, would have been happier with the lead role (after all, she's done Kabuki acting camps TWICE) but she's thrilled with any part! It's called resume building! :)

Starting in January I'll have two kids in rehearsals in two different places. KT's run 5:30-7:30. Nick's run 7:00-9:00! ACK! On those nights when they both have rehearsal (2-3 times a week) I figure I'll have at least 2 1/2 hours of drive time.....drop KT, wait an hour, drive to Nick's, turn around go back to KT's, go back to Nick's, wait an hour, drive home. ...ACK!

Good morning everyone!!! It's been so busy around here getting ready for Christmas and everything that goes along with it. But, today's our 8th anniversary, so we do get to slow down tonight and go out to dinner while our friends watch the girls.

 Happy Anniversary Amy & Chris

Let's see, Tuesday night in St. Pete, can I guess your going to the crab place? ;) Have fun!

Congrats to KT. One thing you have going on your side is I hear you have an "in" with their teacher so maybe on those days, the school load can be a little lighter. ;)

It always seems that when we have a crazy, hairy night is when the teachers dump on either Cameron or Walker in the homeword department. Then we wonder just how to fit everything in and make it work. It does work out, always, but sometimes I'd rather pull my hair out than figure out how to make it work.

Wow, you have a good memory!! No, we're not going to the crab place this time. Chris wanted a little bit nicer place to go, since it is our anniversary and that place is a hole in the wall. We're actually going out to the Melting Pot. We haven't been in several years and thought it would be fun & romantic.

That's because it's on my list of things to do. Plan a trip to FL, spend a a Tuesday night in St. Petersburg and go out for all you can eat crab legs with Chris & Amy. :cool1:

One of these days! :teeth:

Happy Anniversary Amy and Chris!

Chris (sanddune) - I sure hope Mike is better by Christmas and you can all enjoy the holiday with family!

Robin - awesome pics of the "lil squirt" - it amazes me! And how grown up Ian looks in those pics too!

I love the Melting Pot. I think the last time David and I ate there though was a couple years ago for our anniversary. Have a great (relaxing) time of it tonight!

Wow, we have quite a group of stage performers here in this thread... a sheep, a hula dancer, a ghost.

Congrats to all for their respective roles.

We just went last week. We had not been to The Melting Pot in almost 2 years. It was Awesome! Spendy but very good and our waiter was fabulous! Have a GREAT time!

Has anyone been to ICE @ Gaylord Palms? I was wondering if it is worth the $50 and a cab ride from WDW to go see the ice sculptures. Anyone?

We went ICE last year at the Gaylord Texan. Though it was interesting to see all those ice sculptures, neither David nor I felt it was worth the $$ we spent on it and won't be doing it again. They did have an ice slide that looked fun, but with Ian only a year old at the time we didn't bother. And you got a coupon for a "free" hot chocolate when you exited. All in all it was a nice family outing but we can definitely find better ways to spend our time together and our money.

Happy anniversary Amy and Chris!

I love the melting pot, having an entertainment book helps they usually have deals for the fondue places on the book.

I heard the same thing from a friend. They said that it was cool, but they spent a lot of money and it was cool, but she's not sure that she would do it again. So, maybe it's one of those things to do once, but that's about it.

Ooohh, I'll have to check my Entertainment book to see if there's a coupon for our Melting Pot. Thanks for the tip.

OK, so we're back from the pageant and the celebratory lunch at Friendly's. My little sheep was oh-too-cute!! The whole class did an awesome job. And it was really nice how the school put together the pageant because each role was totally equal as far as participation. The only kids that had lines was the Joseph who said and I quote "Got any room?" and the inkeeper who said--"NO". Then as the teacher read the story each character got up and joined the Mary and Joseph at the cradle. It was too cute!!! They did a bunch of songs and went through all the stuff they've learned this year, I was totally surprised because I had no clue they had learned that much!

Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating!!!

Gail and John - Congratulations on Dawn's graduation with honors!!! Both of you should be very proud. Now, have her call me if/when she starts in Gainesville especially if she is going to WDW.

Robin and David - Congrats on the inspections. Loved the pictures of "Squirt" and Ian's 2-year-old ones.

Erin - Hope you're having fun at WDW!!!

Karen and Mary - Loved the Santa stories. If you didn't see, a local man was kicked out of MK because he looked like Santa but was dressed in street clothes and when the kids were asking him questions about their presents he played the part so well Disney promptly escorted him out because of some copyright or character infringement. And I thought the Grinch was only at Universal. :confused3

Squid - Congratulations on the "Commission" cognac!

Robin and Cheryl - Thanks for the Hanukkah explanation!

Todd and Cheryl - That was a really nice thing you did for the people on the bus. :thumbsup2

Cheryl, Mary, David and Mike - Hope you are all feeling better soon!

It's nice to hear about all the holiday pageants/Japanese Theatre and the related roles.

 Happy Anniversary Amy and Chris!!!

Survivor Thoughts: I was disappointed Ozzie didn't win but for a change can accept Yul winning because they were really a coin flip apart with how they dominated the game. Yul was very lucky to get to Exile Island when he did with a few clues already given to the few before him and that he found the idol. He played the hidden idol as best as one could, changing the game in a way like no other before him, no opposing player wanted to sacrifice themselves to get the idol out (except stupid Adam after he knew he would be voted out- dumb, dumb, dumb). Ozzie worked against the odds from when the four tribes merged to 2 because his whole original tribe members were gone and it was only him remaining on the Aitu tribe. They kept him because of his provider status and skill at competitions. Then, with the mutiny the Aitu tribe would not have come close to winning any challenge without Ozzie. With this, Yul would have had to play his hidden idol to save himself and his tribe for only one vote and delayed the inevitable disbanding of the Aitu tribe. Jonathan or Candace would have had all the power in the world at the other tribe and they could have picked off the Aitu people one by one. Remember, it was 8 to 4 and after Yul would have played his idol 7 to 4. Bottom line is Yul could not have won without Ozzie but Ozzie certainly could have won without Yul. I was disappointed with Jonathan's question and rational that Ozzie was only 25 and didn't deserve so much money, that should have had nothing to do with it. If that had anything to do with it then Yul shouldn't have won because he is a lawyer and can easily make up the extra $900,000. Also, Adam was wrong to make Ozzie give a negative answer and not the others especially since he already knew he was voting for Yul. This was a great season, possibly the best yet and I really enjoyed watching. :thumbsup2
