(to the tune of I'm a Little Teapot)
I'm a little latke, round and brown,
Here is my upside, here is my down.
When I am all ready, take a bite,
And eat me up on Hanukkah night.

Happy 3rd night of Hanukkah to all who are celebrating tonight.

Now that one I have never heard before.

I have been taking everything vitamin c - airborne- oscillo.

My problem is that I'm on medicine for high blood pressure, between that and my Glaucoma, it lowers the list of over the counter stuff I can take.

Well, I guess I won't bite my tongue, LOL. I much rather stick my foot in my mouth like I usually do ;) If you have a common cold ie: viral there really isn't anything you can take...especially an antibiotic. If you have an infections than fine maybe it will help youto take an antibiotic. You usually just have to wait a cold out. There are some non prescription things that may help shorten the course: Oscillocinnium (we use it so often in our house we call it OC), zinc lozenges etc. Please don't take an antibiotic if you don't have a bacterial infection as you WILL reduce your body's capacity to fight bacterial infections in the future.

Cheryl, it's good your going to see the doc, you have more than the average complications and you should always discuss what your taking. Airborne and Oscillo are just about the same thing...Echinacea. If you've been taking it more than two weeks you need to take a break from it for two weeks then you can start again...did you know that? I hope your feeling better soon, it's been a rough fall/winter for you.

Mary hope your feeling better quickly too!

Have you checked with your opthalamologist? Mike has glaucoma (you know that) and his doc said those warnings are only for a very specific kind of glaucoma (not the kind he has)

Take a potato, pat pat pat
Roll it and make it flat flat flat
Fry it in a pan with fat fat fat
Chanukkah latkes just like that.
Happy 4th night of Hanukkah to all who are celebrating tonight.

I haven't checked, I've just always stayed away. I haven't been on the medicine for 2 weeks yet. The best thing are the vicks shower soothers, those things rock!

I'm sorry to hear so many of you are under the weather right now. Even David is sick and went to the doctor today. He came home with four perscriptions. YUCK! I just hope he doesn't pass on to me whatever it is he has. I just don't have time to be sick - ever!

I went to the doctor today, too. But for a much better reason...

Yup, these are Squirt

at 18 weeks. The last one Squirt rolled over to look us straight on, almost as if to say "Hi, how ya doin'?".

Robin, Awesome!!! I love ultrasound pictures! They make the baby so real, don't they. I can't believe your 18 weeks already. Time is sure going fast (for me at least ;) ). How have you been feeling?

Oh my. I have a few you can have. Dh loves the smell of the kids' Vicks Vapo-bath and was really hoping the shower soothers would be like that, but they weren't. :(

I'm feeling great, though tired all the time. But I think that's from chasing a toddler around not from being pregnant. I feel lucky that I never had any m/s, either time. I do love getting the u/s pictures. It's so fun to see that little heart beating away and checking out all the tiny fingers and toes. We're going to do the 3D/4D in about 8-10 weeks. Hopefully Squirt will cooperate more than Ian did. (He was asleep with his hands in front of his face and we never did get to see it clearly then.)

Speaking of pics of Ian, here are a couple of his 2-year portraits...

Just checking in!

Pixie Dust for all of our sick friends!pixiedust: pixiedust:

Mike's been home since last tuesday with the shingles. He's still breaking out with new spots today!Just hope it goes away in time for Christmas. I'd like to spend some time with our parents.;)
Happy Hanukkah !

Robin, love the new pictures of Ian and squirt!

Ian's pictures are really cute. I love the one where he's standing with his hand in his pocket.

Ultrasound pictures sure have come a long way. My kids ultrasound pictures are on what looks like polaroid type film - Not the greatest.

Diana,

The package arrived today and Ian got
elmo-50.gif
for Hanukkah tonight. Thanks so much!!! I know Ian is going to love it, though tonight the box was a bigger hit. He loved opening the flap to hear Elmo and carrying it around like a suitcase.

Good morning everyone! Finally got a good nights sleep so off to work I go. It is a short week as it is (we have Friday off) and I need to get things done.

Robin - great pictures! Ian is getting so big!

Chris - sorry to hear Mike has been so sick. Prayers and pixie dust that he feels better soon.

Awesome!! Glad you got it so quickly. That's some speedy mail service from NY ---> Texas!

The ultrasound pics are too cool. Did you find out if squirt is a squirt or squirtette? You don't have to tell us what it is, I was just wondering if you knew.

Today is Emma's Christmas pageant. She's a sheep. She got the role of sheep by default because she's been pretty sick and missed 2 weeks of school. Of course she missed casting day and the first 2 rehearsals....so everyone else got their role and she got "sheep" when she returned. I was kind of disappointed at first when she came home saying she was a sheep but just seeing how excited she is to be a sheep, I realize to her that's the best role ever. My ultra competive side would have wanted Mary and nothing else.

Alrightly, back to my crazy busy life!

Yikes! I've heard that's very painful. I hope he's better by Christmas. Are shingles contagious? I hope no one else comes down with them. pixiedust:

I hope the little "sheep" breaks a leg today. :thumbsup2

ETA: The BIG thing around here is for performances like this, a lot of the parents bring a little bouquet of flowers to give to their performers once the performance is done. Just a heads up. ;)

Good morning everyone!!! It's been so busy around here getting ready for Christmas and everything that goes along with it. But, today's our 8th anniversary, so we do get to slow down tonight and go out to dinner while our friends watch the girls. But, only after Emily's Christmas ballet program after school today. The only thing that I know is that they are wearing grass skirts, so I'm guessing it's along the lines of "Happy 'Hula'days". We'll see, but I'm sure it will be cute!!!

Cheryl - you are too nice to help those people get their stuff back!!!

Robin - Great ultrasound pictures. It's SO exciting to get to see the baby. And, Ian is getting SO big!!!

Diana - that is too sweet that Emma is excited about being a sheep!! Kids get excited about the smallest things, don't they?!??! Emily was only in the chorus for her Christmas program, but it didn't matter to her, she was SO proud.

Well, off to run a bunch of errands today like last minute Christmas shopping, a stop to the post office (or I'll just give it to my postman), a trip to the grocery store for Christmas dinner supplies, along with cookie baking stuff.

Thanks. Because I have time for that!! If only I had one of these! :teleport:
