Off to go and get some more shopping done. I have learned this year that I don't like leaving this until the last week! I'm usually done around the first of December and this year I just started my shopping on Monday. I really have to get motivated. Of course who would have thought that Nintendo DS lite would not be available the week before Christmas ;)

WHAT COLOR DO YOU NEED?

Amy--sounds like you guys had a great anniversary dinner. I've never been to a fondue place, we don't have them here. I guess I should add that to the reasons to move to Florida! :lmao:

On the Florida note, I was all set to call MS and book the last week of May for our trip and then I realized that we'd be coming home on June 2nd which is the 2nd day of CKC Buffalo, which I really want to go to. Now I'm back to the drawing board. I wanted to do it right after Emma was done with school. Now I'm thinking more along the lines of Mother's Day weekend. The good news is, we've added an extra day onto our trip so we can drive out to Bradenton to look at houses!!! :jumping1:

White

I've been watching eBay but the prices are $180 and up plus shipping.

Amy - sounds like you and Chris had a great celebration!

Gail - good luck on your hunt for the DS!

Ok, well, someone on the double scoop thread had an extra pink one and didn't know what to do with it. I gave her your DIS name just in case. :)

Thanks! Pink is not out of the question, it's just that I have the pink one and thought the white would make it easier to figure out who's is who's. I'm also able to get away with wrapping up a picture and telling her we can get it after the holidays. Of course family members have purchased games for her, but she can always use my system until the stores start to get their stock in.

Thanks Again for passing along my name to them!

Bumping us back up this afternoon. :)

Everyone must be busy either celebrating their holidays or getting ready for the next wave.

We did Christmas yesterday with the daycare and it was like Christmas morning before the kids were all ready to head on home. Everyone brought gifts for the other children -- which was very generous of them all. The kids sure know how to tear into them this year -- being 2 I thought they'd be more into the paper and wrap still but they were excited to see what was under the wrap. I've forgotten how quickly they go from enjoying the wrap to enjoying the gifts. :teeth:

Today the parent gifts are going home. Busy little elves we've been around here. The kids get so excited making something special for their parents. I wonder how many have told all the items we've made over the last weeks. ;)

What's everyone doing for Christmas? We'll be home both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I will take the kids to visit my Mom sometime over the holidays, I just don't know when. Unfortunately, Gary has to work both Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day. :( I'm not exactly sure of the times, Gary was thinking more in the afternoon than the morning which is good for the Santa visit. I will boycott Neiman Marcus from now on -- not that I shopped there anyway, but this is the same account which almost messed up our March WDW trip earlier this year. Now they are messing up our Holidays as well.

We'll hang out at home, do some cooking and then I'm sure the kids will find something to occupy their time. ;)

Sounds like Christmas at the daycare was a lot of fun! I bet they didn't blow the surprise for their parents though. Emma had a present on her hook at school yesterday. We took it home and I just assumed it was for her so I let her open it. It was a big certificate sized paper with a mat. It had a poem about handprints, a quote from the Bible and a handprint of hers done on it. Then she procedes to tell me the entire story of when they made it, who helped her, how they did it. I had no clue! It was an awesome surprise!

Of course the day before when I showed her the photo mug we got for Bruce the second he walked through the door she says---Daddy wait until you see the cup we got you!! How did those teachers get her to keep the surprise?

As for Christmas, we'll be home on Christmas Eve. We do our presents and the presents Bruce's parents send  and go to Church. Then we get up early Christmas morning to see what Santa has brought, eat breakfast and we are out the door by 9 to drive to NJ to go to my Dad's---where dinner is at 1 and at precisely 3:36pm we'll sing Happy Birthday to me. It's tradition, they've done it 33 times already....I'd really prefer they stop. Oh--and you aren't allowed to wish me Happy Birthday until 3:36 or my father yells that it's still Christmas and not my Birthday yet. :confused3 Christmas is over at 3:35 and then it's my Birthday. What a wacky family!

Now how are we all going to remember to not wish Diana a happy birthday until 3:36 p.m. Eastern Time on Christmas day?

Something tells me your DIS Family is going to break that tradition. ;)

I'm going home to NJ for the long weekend, Friday until Wednesday morning.

Sounds like you had a good daycare Christmas.

Diana - Emma looks adorable as a sheep.

Amy and Chris - Glad you had a great anniversary dinner.

:cake: :bday: Happy Early Birthday Diana!!! :bday: :cake:

Too late, I already broke it. ;)

Sorry I was at the doctor, I have a antibiotic prescription and a new blood pressure scrip.

We are going to the movies Christmas eve and to Hard rock in Tampa on Christmas day.

Also since tonight is the 6th candle: in lieu of going to a social action project, we gave to the Mazon Chanukah appeal. Also we give to the JWB Jewish chaplains council since they provide for our Jewish soldiers thoughout the year.

Sounds like mos of us are really busy.
Today we had a different FedEx person at our door 3 times within 20 minutes :woohoo:

Big news is our Add-on Sculpture has arrived. All in one piece too!
It is very big!. Not sure where we will display it yet so it is just out on a shelf for now.

I hope everyone is doing well. We both have the coughing bug that is going around. Coleen stayed home from work today. Although she is feeling a little bit better.

I came home from shopping today and had a tag on the front door from Fed Ex - that was their second stop here today. I wasn't expecting anymore packages so I couldn't figure out what it could be - I bet it's my sculpture :Pinkbounc Now I guess I will take a drive over to the Fed Ex building after 7:30 tonight and pick it up. No sense waiting until tomorrow for them to redeliver it. :woohoo:

Gail & Steve - congrats on getting your sculptures! Enjoy!

Busy day for me as we had our office pot luck and gift exchange. Always a fun time but it does mean that we have less hours in the day to get everything done and it has been busy at work.

I'm getting better but Mark has a bit of it now and stayed home today.

As for Christmas. Christmas Eve will be at my in-laws for dinner. Not exchanging gifts this year so it will be a pretty quiet day. Christmas day we're staying home and just relaxing and enjoying the day. I'm lucky in that I get both this Friday and next Friday off as well as the two Mondays.

Tina, did you and Tim decide about the Great Wolf Lodge???
Cindy...We both tried to get that weekend off, and we were both told no...We have the following 2 weekends off in Feb. I'm very mad about it, because my girls have 1/2 day Thursday, and no school on Friday, but theres no way. I am pushing my luck next year with vacations already...We have 2 10 day trips scheduled and a 2 week trip...Thats my vacation and some of my sick days there. Sorry!

Sounds like the daycare kids had a great party and even more fun making a gift for their families!

For Christmas this year it will be a little different (usually its just the girls and I, so we make our rounds when we get to it)...We are going to Tim's aunt for Christmas Eve, and then church. Then on Christmas morning we are waking up at Tim's house to have breakfast (his dad and gram are coming over) and open presents from Santa Claus. Then we are all going over to my mom's by 11am to open up the way too many gifts she has bought(As a child I always loved Christmas morning because there were so many gifts from Santa that it took hours to open them, My mom has carried this tradition on with my girls, so we will be needing a Uhaul to get it all to Tim's house)!!! Then dinner @2 with her. The girls dad cant make up his mind if he has time for them, so I am planning the day, and when he decides he can work around me. Then we have to go and see my Mom's side of the family, then I have to go to my Dad's house and visit with him, and somewhere in there we have to stop off at Tim's other aunt's house. Thank goodness we had Christmas with my dads family already. Or we would be in big trouble. Then I have the 26th off work to relax. I am going to need it!

We've been busy today with the last day of school before Christmas. And, Chris and I had a meeting with the director of the school to talk about kindergarten next year for Emily.

For Christmas, we will be here. We have church on Christmas Eve, then just the 4 of us will have an appetizer/snack dinner and watch Christmas movies. Then, Chris' mom & brother will come over on Christmas morning to watch the girls open their presents and have dinner.

Cindy - I'm SO sorry to hear that Gary has to work!!! That stinks!!! But, I hope that he will be there on Christmas morning for after Santa's visit.
