Don't mind me.. I'm just stirring the pot (some more) :stir: (I've read some stuff on other places when I googled, but it wasn't the main discussion)
and apologies if this has already been discussed here or if it's the wrong forum 🙏

Has anyone been to Shanghai Disneyland and experienced it in person? What was it like? What did you think?

[spoiler alert]
I'm not a huge fan of using those screens, but I feel like it's implemented very well here (probably the best I've seen, even better than any of Universal's Harry Potter rides imo and I like those rides)

The only thing is space and the fact that it'll be a complete overhaul (new ride system apparently), but it does look like they have space to expand.

Of course there are defenders of Orlando's PotC, but I'm sure that's because it's nostalgic for them.. it's nearly identical to the California one and the general consensus seems to be that California's version is "better" ..some even saying that Orlando's version is the "worst" out of all the PotC rides globally ( :sad1: ). California's PotC should stay the same for the sole reason of it being "the" classic one (also, I don't think there is any adequate space to expand there even if they wanted to), so people can still have the original/nostalgic one existing in the states. Like how they changed Tower of Terror in California to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, but kept the original ToT in Hollywood Studios.

Do you think there isn't much interest in PotC anymore? I think there's still a solid fanbase/audience (me included), but there has definitely been a lot of talk and delay regarding the future of the franchise, but, I mean, the ride existed before the movies so..
and they did bring the Tron ride over, so I'm going to hope that maybe some day it could happen (unless ofc everyone is opposed to the idea - but there was a lot of backlash for ToT turning into GotG:MB and that didn't stop them lol)

Would you be excited to see this in Orlando MK? or do you hate the idea?
