Yeah Mary stay safe and HOPEFULLY we will see you in January!

We got about 4 inches of snow here. I have already plowed the driveway and shoveled the deck twice.

OK, for forecast for the next 8 hrs is over 15-30cm (that should tell you right off where I live)--that's about 7-13" for most of you folks. It is not very cold which is not good because when it gets really cold it won't snow so I know we are in for a doozy.

I have parent-teacher interview tomorrow morning (bet the teacher will not show d/t weather if the forecast is right) as I have had some issues with this lady and informed the Principal of them--one note home in Sept said "Cameron keeps on not behave well" Homework corrections were really bad ie. she used "their" in a sentence such as "their was a potato famine in Ireland" I brought this to the attention of the Principal who said that she would look into it--yeah right I don't think she has done a thing as the latest spelling test on Monday showed the teacher's correction as spelling toboggan as "tobaugan". This lady is teaching grade 3 but I do not think she could pass grade 3 english. Obvious english is not her first language, ok but then do not teach grade 3--perhaps kindergarten? The final straw was a math test where she marked 8:45 wrong. The kids had to write out the answers--such as 45 minutes past eight which she marked wrong and said that the correct answer should be fifteen minutes before nine. In my mind both are correct. I just received an email that the Principal will also be at the interview--I can't wait to hear what nonsense they will come up with!.

I also note that Mrs. Lips has fish extenders on ebay for sale. It is item #7730160273 is anyone is interested.

Okay, you win with the nasty weather. Stay warm, stay safe, stay inside. :cold: :cold:

Except tomorrow when you take issue with the teacher. What on earth. I hope the principal supports you and your Cameron (my son is Cameron too :teeth: ). Just what on earth is she teaching?

Yeah, Mrs.Lips......we can keep her in business. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well - it's time to start packing as I check out of OKW in the morning - I will try and bring some of the warmer temps up north with me - sure hope the drive is not too bad - it's been fun trying to catch up on all the reading of this forum. :moped: Good news - weather was great til today - showers but it was rain showers not snow showers :umbrella: - met up with quite a few DISers and had a blast at the parks! :goodvibes
And I did get my booking for the next DVC cruise with my friend, Karen. Now that's a story in itself! :rotfl2:
The Merry Member Mixer was cancelled today because of the weather but I was lucky enough to go last week and saw a few of the last member cruisers there. There is a release of quite a bit of DVC merchandise coming out which they displayed at the Mixer and is showing up at the resorts.
I will be out of the loop for a while as I hit the road north to drop off sis and her dh in Delaware and then back to the reality of Michigan. :moped:

Safe travels home, Mary!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :moped:

Where in Canada do you live? We live across from Sarnia. I hope you don't get that much snow.

About the whole teacher problem.... good luck. That sounds like a huge nightmare. I hope it works out for you. I'm sure they will make it not sound so bad. My dd is in 3rd grade too and I can't believe all your problems.

New snow update here. The weatherman said we could get 7 to 10 in here. I sure hope so. We all want a snow day. It finally started snowing about 30 min ago. I just don't want to shovel. :cold:

So, how about a GTKYFKK (That would be G(et) T(o) K(now) Y(our) F(ellow) K(razy) K(ruiser) question.......

My absolute favorite is Baskin Robbin's Jamoca Almond Fudge. I'll go for anything with good fudge in it though. But at Hagen Daz I really like Rum Raisin. Honestly though, if it has something in it - almonds, fudge, raisins, marshmellows, etc. I'll probably like it.

Have a safe drive. I hear the weather/roads are quite trecherous in some areas right now.

Okay, back to this. I guess we'd need a picture of you and Robin to compare with.
Those were the pictures of Mommy and Daddy. Maybe looking at them this way will help...

Mine and David's photos are from the hospital. Ian's is when he was 4 days old, all strapped into his car seat ready for on an outing.

Thanks everyone for the kind words about my son. I've got alot of reading to do! The Doctor gave me a stack of papers. Alot of contact numbers. She was realy a great Doctor. Aaron will be 8 soon.So it's realy late knowing for sure he is autistic. We were told around age 3 that he might be but they didn't want to say. I gave up on that hospital and got an answer in one day! So all is well with us. Aaron has been in schools that knew about him since age 3.So without the doctors help he's still on target.Thank goodness for special ed. teachers that work in preschools! Sorry its so long . Just thought I would tell everyone. Thanks again!

Have you heard about the plain in Chicago? It slid of the runway. It's not Mark and Marys. It was trying to land. :earseek: :earseek:

I thought that doesn't happen in Texas. Which part of Texas are you in Julie?

Dallas Fort Worth area - where we don't normally get this cold or get ice - about every 2 - 3 years we do.

At a boy Cameron...sounds like something that would happen in this house...or my parents house.

Ok to answer the GTKYFKK question.
I have 3 ice creams that I truly enjoy.
1. Blue Bunny had a special Mickey Mouse Happy Birthday ice cream. It was vanilla with frosting swirled in and little candies in it.
2 & 3 We have a local convienence store called Stewarts that makes there own Ice Cream and they have some cool concoctions.
but the flavors I like best are:
COTTON CANDY
It's a carnival in your mouth! Cotton candy flavored ice cream sprinkled with multi-colored chocolate chips. Pure fun for kids of all ages
CRUMBS ALONG THE MOHAWK
Graham cracker flavored ice cream liberally sprinkled with graham cracker pieces and laced with a caramel swirl.

OMG I got that Mickey Mouse ice cream, had 2 spoonfuls of it and :crazy2: I don't want to be gross, that stuff was nasty!!!

My favorite is also from Stewarts though...Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl. It has giant ribbons of peanut butter it it. Otherwise Rocky Road....especially the kind with the chocolate covered nuts in it!

Oh I am so glad you have a great Doctor and that Aaron is getting good attention - that's awesome news! Tell him that his "cruise" neighbors say HELLO!

They are staying it was a Southwest from BWI flying into Midway. Very scary situation. They are saying cars were hit with children in it. :sad1:

Just wanted to mention that I went to the Jim Brickman concert here last night (in the ice storm) and it was AMAZING and well worth it! I noticed on his website that he's headed up towards some of you soon and if it is not sold out I really encourage you to go. He does holiday, Disney and some of his great hits. Lila McCann, Mike Eldred and Tracy Silverman performed here with him.

Did anyone catch his recent PBS special - Jim Brickman at the Magic Kingdom? I guess it was on here at the end of November. If anyone gets a chance to tape/DVD it and could get a copy out we'll gladly pay for the costs to obtain a copy.

Oh Midway is so closed in with the roads that it's entirely possible this could happen. I hope everyone is ok!!!

I haven't seen it but I've heard it was great. It was on again here last night or the night before, so I'll have to check if they plan to play it again soon and I will DVD it.

Favorite ice creme is BLUE BELL!!! I love chocolate and am enjoying the pepermint this holiday season :teeth:
