Let's not get overly confident now Ms. Diana
Even though it's 5 to 3 NY in the fifth, the game is far from over
I am the last one up and guess what? IT'S OVER!!!!!

What are you all wearing for dress up night? I usually wear dress Capri's with a sweater set or a skirt with a nice shirt for dinner. Then DH and kids wear khakis and golf shirts. Will they need a button down dress shirt? Will I need a nice dress? Thanks for any help here.

That's a great question. I hope we get some good feedback on this! popcorn::

This DH was just notified that I will be wearing a tie to Tritons. So I'm packing the ugliest tie I can find. There is another challenge, if we have to wear a choker then lets make em pay. Just a thought.

Another thought: You can eat in the cabin that night...

Jacqui and Diana - I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a fuzzy family member. It's even more difficult when you have to make the decision for your friend. Having cared for your dogs for many years, I'm sure that your feelings have and will lead you to the correct decision. :flower3:

Mary - My thoughts are with you while you go through your medical scare. A couple of years ago, I was faced with the possibility of breast cancer, and it was terrifying. It turned out not to be cancer, but a complication of my Diabetes that will trouble me for the rest of my life, and that will eventually require surgery. (That's the good news?!?!? :confused3 )

Hang in there!

How old are Cameron and Nick again? I didn't realize I could give David some of these priviledges like the beeper and going to the pool. This may be a dumb question but how and when do we use the beeper and is it used on the island too? :confused3

Nick is 11 yrs old and Cameron is 12.
You can choose to let the older kids sign themslves out of the clubs if you feel they are responsible enough. You can also decide that if they do sign thmselves out that a page has to be sent to you to inform you they are leaving. The beeper stays with you the whole cruise and they do work on the Island.
If you decide you don't want David signing himself out then they will page you if he wants to leave the club and you would have to go pick him up.

Well, if it had to be something else, I hope it was good news for you DS! :goodvibes

It was! It was a "call back" for the summer internship Law School students must get. He was happy.

Congrats to David on posts!

MaryJ we can try to put the tables together as Cindy suggested if you like, you are always welcome!

Squid, that is so cool about your granddaughter winning...YAY!

How many of us brought the Santa Mickey ears last year and didn't even use them to take a picture?

I'm #1.....who else???

I'm thinking Julie did the same and Diana??

No santa ears here but I have a graduation cap no one has used. I thought for sure DD would have used it but she wouldn't.:confused3

We had to put our beloved golden retriever down today. He was 15 . Thankfully he did not suffer and lived a great life but the pain of the loss is unbearable.

My boys are crushed (DH and the DS's) and I do not know how to cheer them up.

Jacqui

Oh Jacqui, I'm so sorry! We had to put down our 13yo Wheaten 2 yrs ago. It was definately one of the more traumatic days of our lives. We had a hard time and it was so difficult to even walk in the house. No kisses to great us! I would hear him behind me when of course he wasn't etc. The only thing that helped our pain is the two cute faces I posted here earlier. If you can get another pet I think it helps so much, not to replace the other in your heart but maybe it's a form of distraction. Puppies need so much attention it was hard to have time to think about and be sad about Barney.
I know it's not for everyone but just a thought, it worked for us.

Good morning Member Cruisers
- we sail in 18 days!

17 days until the pre-cruise DIS meet in the Solarium at Beach Club!

party:

Woo Hoo - we are in the teens!

Remember you can get a copy of the navigator on the web site!

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

We're all going to have fun in the sun right? So don't forget the sunscreen! The sun is stronger down in the Bahamas than it is where most of us live. On sea days it can be even stronger if ou are out by the pool the cool breeze from the ship moving and the water makes you forget how strong the sun is.

Here's the tip - try the new spray on sunscreens. Especially for the ladies and girls who get their hair braided. Put sunscreen in those rows or you'll be in for a very red, very painful experience! Remember that part of the scalp doesn't see the sun too often.

Don't forget other often over-looked places like your ears and the top of your feet. Protect yourself and you can have fun at play and not be in pain the next day!

Teachers that job share!?
Ok that just seems odd to me. You would think it would confuse the kids. I mean they only work like 9 or 10 months out of the year so I don't get it.
No offence to any teachers out there.
Ken had a cousin in Phoenix that taught like that. She did it primarily so she could be home with her own children who were in preschool at least part of the week. She said that the parents always had more trouble with it than the kids in her class. Just last year, she went back to teaching full time when her youngest reached school age.

Well it's off to work for me today and it's going to be beautiful here, 80's they say, one of the last warm days for awhile I'm guessing. I have to leave work early to drive my DD best friend to the airport so she and my DD and two other friends from here can go to Disney and MNSSHP this weekend. I let them have the BCV ressie and they are so excited. The four are going as Tink, Hook, Wendy and Peter. My DD is Peter. She had a hard time making her costume but was finally able to find green leggings yesterday at Old Navy for $6 in case anyone else is looking. I made her a ragged Tshirt from ACMoore for the top and she has a belt and will make a green felt hat. She's a bit stuck on what to do for the shoes but she'll figure it out. I can't wait to see the pictures of them all. I'm sure they'll look awesome going down Main St. together. She's so funny...she put together a power point presentation of their itinerary (my dh says she learned from the best  ) and made Halloween goodie bags for her friends and paper versions of the itinerary and put it in their bags. She says she was a little bored this week....lol and that's what I'm paying $40,000/yr for?:confused3 Any way she'll be making some good memories this weekend! Wish I was there! I miss her so much, I can't wait to see her in Oct after the cruise!

Member Gallery Update!

Linda (seaulater) has sent in her info. She'll be sailing with her Nancy and her sister Debbie. Thier info is now listed in the gallery on the web site. Unfortunately they missed the cut-off for the navigator so if you want their info please write it down now.

If anyone else we haven't heard from wants their into on the web site we are still accepting it there but the navigator is closed.

I was also able to fix the deck plan that Sandy noticed was wrong. It is correct on the web site and will be correct in the printed navigator but I'm not updating the preview one on the site.

We had to put our beloved golden retriever down today. He was 15 and had developed multiple organ failure (or cancer) etiher way it would have cost about $700 just to diagnose the problem but at his age the outcome was inevitable. Thankfully he did not suffer and lived a great life but the pain of the loss is unbearable.

My boys are crushed (DH and the DS's) and I do not know how to cheer them up. I know the cruise will help but any ideas (any good movies out there I can take them to?) to help them through it would be great. This weekend is the Canadian Thanksgiving so we get an extra day to do things. I plan on doing a scrapbook page once the pain subsides--things are still too raw.

Pixie dust and prayers to Mary.

Jacqui
Jacqui,
I know exactly how you feel. We had to put our cat Tigger down this summer. She also had cancer. Every day gets a little better, but I still miss her at times.

Thinking of you and your boys.

ETA: Thinking about your family and Penny too, Diana.

Hey Dallas,
Just was checking the member gallery and found we are ship/deck neighbors, down in the dungeon!:cool1:
Can't wait to meet everyone!
