Karen's just letting you know that you may think you can pull the wool over her eyes! ;)

:scared1: I WOULD NEVER attempt to pull the wool over my beloved's eyes!!! (she's alergic, makes her all itchy.) Since I tend to wear the same color clothes to work every day I have a "limited" tie collection, and she knows my taste in clothes.

:surfweb: Morning all

For those interested (and who isn't) it's 18 days 8 hrs 39 min & 4 sec ota to sailaway. Have a good Wednesday.

That's where the single outfits in the big ziploc bags come in handy!! ;)

I think I'm going to try that this trip because my girls have started to like to dress themselves which means Julia wears the same Reese's peanut butter cup shirt every day. Even if it's dirty, she dumps the hamper to find it. :confused3 And once she finds it, it's not an option for her to not wear it. :sad2:

I'm off to the big bday celebration at Chuck E Cheese's. :faint:

We had to put our beloved golden retriever down today. He was 15 and had developed multiple organ failure (or cancer) etiher way it would have cost about $700 just to diagnose the problem but at his age the outcome was inevitable. Thankfully he did not suffer and lived a great life but the pain of the loss is unbearable.

My boys are crushed (DH and the DS's) and I do not know how to cheer them up. I know the cruise will help but any ideas (any good movies out there I can take them to?) to help them through it would be great. This weekend is the Canadian Thanksgiving so we get an extra day to do things. I plan on doing a scrapbook page once the pain subsides--things are still too raw.

Pixie dust and prayers to Mary.

Jacqui

I am so sorry for your loss. My sister has goldens and I always said that if I were to adopt a dog, it would be a golden. They are her only children and when we exchange gifts during the holidays her children are treated with the same joy as she treats mine. Sometimes I think they make out better.

Good Morning everyone....Wow 27 pages to catch up on...Its the first time I'm able to log on since Monday night and the storms that rolled through the Chicago area...My house faired fine, we had a little bit of water come up over the foundation, and the basement floor was wet...but otherwise everything was ok...But Tims house was not so lucky...Hes in one of the areas that had a micro burst, and a reported touchdown of a tornado not too far away...his garage is at street level and took on at least 3" of water...the basement took on water over the foundation...Power lines were down on both ends of his street which made it impassable...Trees were down everywhere...one of his trees split and is hanging over the neighbors house...Lots of clean up...power and cable were out until early this mnorning...cable is still out, but atleast there is power...We carried out so many garbage cans full of wet things, but now the basement is emptied, and all we have left is the garage...So I'm off back to his house till work at 11am...I will try to catch up a little there. Hope everyone else is ok with the storms...

Glad to hear your ok first! Sorry to here about all of the damage in your area! Hope everything gets repaired quickly!

? About the areosol sunblock cans. Can you pack them in suitecases on airplanes? I thought areosol was banned? Just asking if someone has gone on a trip lately with them.

Tina, Sorry to hear about the mess you guys have from the storms - glad everyone is ok.

I just traveled with an aerosol can in my checked luggage. You won't be able to bring them in carry on. The airlines (at least Spirit) are now allowing 3 oz or less travel size bottles of shampoos and things. Ladies, you can't have mascara in your carry ons either.

For the aerosol cans I remove the cap so that something doesn't get pushed down on the top and spray all the contents out.

FWIW when I fly Spirit I haven't had a problem with aerosol cans. The last two times I flew NorthWest my aerosol can was missing when I got to my destination :confused3 It's only a can of bathroom spray so I'm not sure what the fascination is

I have flown the last couple of years with the (blue) Coppertone aerosol cans in my checked luggage and haven't had a problem.

I suppose it depends on who is scanning it.

Would those be the coppertone in the blue areosol cans? It's the sport version or is there a different one?

I love that stuff but for whatever reason, both my kids tell me it stings on them.
I can tell you that Emily complains that it stings when she's got a mosquito bite that she has picked at, so if they have any open cuts/sores, it will sting because there is alcohol in it.

Chris and his friend,Tim, were talking at work about the cruise and before & after and Tim laughed because Chris has NO idea of all of our plans. To the point that Chris doesn't even know where we're staying before & after. He says that he just knows that I'll tell him where to go and what to do, and that it'll be fun.

I can't believe that it's less than 3 weeks away!!!

Oh NO, Tina!!! I sure hope that the cleanup is quick for Tim and his house!!! I know what it's like, since we go through clean up every time a hurricane even comes close around here. Just take it one day at a time and it'll all get done, because if you think about the WHOLE thing, it can be overwhelming!!!

Sandy - The Buffalo airport has an airpark across the street from the airport for like 7.50 a day. They shuttle you right over. The road in front of the airport is all torn up and there are detours so leave 10 minutes to get around it.

Thanks for the info. I passed it onto my daughter.
