Hey, Julie doesn't live too terrribly far away, and Ian is great entertainment, even if you are zoned on Valium....

I also have a great foot DR (he is currently treating my fractured ankle) that could give a 2nd opinion.....

:figment:

OOOH entertainment the question is who would be more entertaining ME or IAN? :rotfl2: I bet I drool more on valium!

How is that foot healing David? Still in the boot? Thanks - if I need to get a 2nd look I will call you :)

No, not the shirts, it was guessing who booked the cruise first (lowest reservation number). I thought I remember you guessing twice, maybe I was wrong. :confused3

Diana, I think Jeff is right.

Now that he mentioned it, I remember something along those same lines.

Does this mean I don't get to vote for our dining preference?

Jeff, I have an email into DCL asking which night is our pirate night. I'll post if I hear something definite.

Disney Movies
This is a banner year for Disney Movies, including both the anniversaries of classic Disney films and the debuts of new favorites like Cars and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. For Day 2, we'll roll out the red carpet to celebrate some of our favorite Disney Movies, with Guest Speakers and a live performance of "The Golden Mickeys" providing the lights, camera, and action. Also, be sure to pack your best buccaneer attire for a rowdy pirate-themed party!

Day 2 is Monday!

I can't believe that someone is talking about snow. That is such a four letter word and I really can't believe that it is allowed here. :rotfl:

Sorry that would be me - but I used it in a negative way saying at least the rain we have is better than snow. I don't want the snow to come either!

Hello Cruise Mates! I can't believe I'm writing this, but we have a new baby to bring on board! He made the cut off by 2 days(being 12 weeks). We adopted him 2 weeks and are just now getting settled! lol
The caseworker that did our homestudy for NJ will be here today to start the papers for finalization! :goodvibes (takes a bout 6 months-3 visits).
He is so beautiful and I can't believe we have him in our arms for good!
His name is Nathaniel. He will be 7 weeks old this Friday. When we were placed with him he was 8 pounds and now just shy of 11 pounds! :rotfl:
Of course now i have 101 questions about traveling with a newborn! Are the pack a play cribs they will give us will be clean? How many sheets should I bring? How terrable expensive his bottled water on board to make formula. I'm actually thinking of getting the liquid just for the cruise so not have to worry about mixing. We will be at the parks for 4 days prior to sailing, so i would use poweder for then though.
Omg! My head is spinning. I'm usually a organized person and I'm starting to panic that I will forget something now, since this is the first time that I'm a mommy to a baby.
Okay gonna take a breather, and will be back hopefully sooner than later! lol

~Kerri

KERRI - congratulations!!! That is awesome!

I know Amy already mentioned it, but we're driving to the port and we have to stop the day before at Costco for some wedding supplies and would not mind picking up the water for you at all. Just let me know :) - oh and we could pick up other things also if you need us too!

Important Dining Poll:

I just got off the phone with DCL regarding early dining for our cruise. For those of us who have decided to link with others from this thread for dining, I'm going to take a poll as to what rotation you would prefer so that I can note that to DCL.

Here are the options:

1. Triton's 5:30 This would be TAAP
2. Animator's 5:45 This would be APPT
3. Parrot Cay 6:00 This would be PTTA

4. I don't have a preference

If you could please post your preference here, I will pick up the results.

I don't want any hard feelings, so whichever rotation has the most votes is what I'm going to request.

Keep in mind this does not mean we will get this rotation, it's only a request.

Thanks.

Cindy

First - looks like Pirate night is 2 or 3 due to the repeat of restaurants. If you are going to Palo and don't want to miss dining in one restaurant you might want to think about your ressie :) .

Second - just curious if the time of dining means the time of departure on the last day. If so it may be better to pick option 3 for early diners to allow a bit more sleep and be closer to the time the late diners will be on the bus.

My vote is option 3 (with 2 a close second) as we don't want to be rushed for dinner.

Thanks Mary and Cindy. That was what I remembered from last year because the fireworks weren't fired on Pirate night since it was too windy. They were fired off on Fantasy night and there were 2 dessert bars, one for each night. :thumbsup2

Thanks Mary, I had forgotten the newsletter info but knew that it had to be the 2nd or 3rd night due to the repeat.

I guess that answers the question of when.

I wonder if I'll get the same response from DCL?

Kerri,

Congrats on the new baby!!! I don't really have any advice for you, as I have never cruised before, but just wanted to say congrats, and how exciting!!!

I would probably say 2 or 3, because I would rather not have dinner at 5:30pm.

so, which is it??? :confused3

Amy, are you taking lessons from Diana & Curt??? ;)

Hey all!

Busy day here I see, and busy day for me at work.

Sorry you're not feeling well Cheryl.

I vote for #3, then #2 and would prefer to avoid 1 if at all possible, was too early.

My vote is #2 APPT

Sunday Animators DVC Birthday Celebration
Monday Parrot Cay DVC Pirates night
Tuesday Parrot Cay
Wednesday Tritons Nice Way to end the cruise!

The dinner is @ 5:45 (right in the middle)

And, the results so far.......(not counting our latest cheater, Amy ;) ). Easier for me to bookmark as well:

#1 Tritons 5:30 ---- 0
#2 Animators 5:45 ---- 3 (Jeff, Cheryl/Todd & Roxann)
#3 Parrot Cay 6:00 ---- 5 (Kevin/Unixadm, Gail, Mary/Mark, Diana & Julie)
#4 I don't care ---- Janet

To keep things simple and fair, I am going to limit voting to 1 vote per family. I apologize for not thinking about that sooner, Todd & Mark.

One more addition --- sorry. I would really like to get the information to DCL by Friday, so by noon on Friday, I'm going to go with the majority of votes. I hope everyone understands.
