I am so tired of this rain. I've been in the house all week with the daycare kids, as Cameron's been home sick and I'm not comfortable leaving him alone. Today my kids have a 1/2 of school, so they'll be home for the afternoon.

Rainy, whiny, and cooped in the house. It's going to be a long day.

Maybe I should look for that beer  ;)

You're tired of the rain, so you sent it this way? Thanks. :sad2:

Cold and dreary here. It's been hard to get out of bed, so the girls came in for some morning snuggling with the box of Apple Jacks. So there it goes, I just my Mother of the Year award.

Ilene--don't be discouraged by the doctors scale thing. I've been to two doctors in the same day and their scales were 10 lbs off between the two. I said to the nurse, now I know it's not possible to gain 10lbs in a could of hours! Stick with the number on your home scale, it's better for your morale! :thumbsup2

Cheryl--hope everything goes well at the doctors and you can avoid the ER. pixiedust:

Another busy day here. I'm excited because finally my favorite exercise class is being offered again. They change the schedule several times in the summer to see what's popular and try new things....so BoSU hasn't happened since early June. I'll be jumping around in another hour!! :tigger: And tomorrow--kickboxing!!! My ultimate favorite!!

Cheryl - good luck at the doctor.

Cindy - well I don't have much of a commute but I am still not fond of driving in snow. Yuck!

Gail - happy packing. I know you must be getting very excited about the cruise. I hope you and John have the best time (well you'll have the best time on our cruise but the second best time). Nothing like cruising with the one you love!

Diana - way to go on the exercise! :yay:

Georgie - glad to hear things are getting better. Almost sailing time! :sail:

Hello Cruise Mates! I can't believe I'm writing this, but we have a new baby to bring on board! He made the cut off by 2 days(being 12 weeks). We adopted him 2 weeks and are just now getting settled! lol
The caseworker that did our homestudy for NJ will be here today to start the papers for finalization! :goodvibes (takes a bout 6 months-3 visits).
He is so beautiful and I can't believe we have him in our arms for good!
His name is Nathaniel. He will be 7 weeks old this Friday. When we were placed with him he was 8 pounds and now just shy of 11 pounds! :rotfl:
Of course now i have 101 questions about traveling with a newborn! Are the pack a play cribs they will give us will be clean? How many sheets should I bring? How terrable expensive his bottled water on board to make formula. I'm actually thinking of getting the liquid just for the cruise so not have to worry about mixing. We will be at the parks for 4 days prior to sailing, so i would use poweder for then though.
Omg! My head is spinning. I'm usually a organized person and I'm starting to panic that I will forget something now, since this is the first time that I'm a mommy to a baby.
Okay gonna take a breather, and will be back hopefully sooner than later! lol

~Kerri

Congrulations Kerri and :welcome: Nathaniel. I'm not much help on sailing with newborns, but I'm sure some of the Mom's in the group will be happy to help. Amy and Diana have both sailed with little ones.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful gift you have!!!!

No advice about cruising with a newborn. Just remember the new "no liquids in your carry-ons" policy if you are flying.

I'd make sure you pack infant tylenol, infant motrin, infant cold drops, etc etc. Get the doses from your doctor just before you leave so they are based on his current weight and write them down so you don't forget.

Maybe I need to have dh do an article about "travelling with infants." :)

PICTURES....WE WANT PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary, Diana, Cindy, WELCOME TO CENTRAL OHIO!!!!!

It's been grey, cloudy and rainy here for days. Mike even said this morning "will we ever see the sun again?????"

We had two very atypical days last month.....when Mark and Mary came to visit!!! :)

Karen - I think that would be a great article for Mike to write!

Those were beautiful days but we would have had fun even if it was rainy (ok maybe not at the zoo or the "corn" field but we would still have fun). BTW did you ever look at all the rest of the pictures yet?

P.S. the whole diet thing....yeah..I blew it :-( Scale at doctors office yesterday showed up 10lbs over my bath scale..sheesh! Oh well back to
the drawing board.

Ilene - Don't fret - I gained 4 at Weight Watchers yesterday! My scale at home reads 5lbs lighter than the Weight Watchers scale so some of that 10lbs may just be the different scales. :confused3
Time to get back on track. I got the right food in the house last night. We also took one of our get ready for Disney walks.

Funny thing is I had been thinking about posting to you guys to find out how everyone was doing not eating after 7pm. I had not been well with doing that but thought if I start it, it might help me with getting back on track. Anyone else struggling or doing great with their efforts? 6 weeks till the cruise - maybe I could lose 10lbs!

I'm on my way out right now, but I can help you out with travelling with a little one on the cruise and what you'll need. Let me get my thoughts together after I get back from the gym!

Happy Wednesday to all! Now that I've calmed down from yesterday and the possibility of not taking the cruise, things should hopefully be smoother sailing!

I'm glad that you'll still be sailing with us!!!

That's one of the biggest reasons that I'm glad that I live in FL. I always HATED to drive in the snow!!!

I'm SO excited for you Kerri!!! I sent you a PM, asking for his name, but now I got it!! I loved the name Nathaniel!!

As for the baby, they do have pack-n-plays in the room if you request it. They will also have sheets, or you can bring your own. I'm not sure if you'll have a car or not, but if you do, you can bring the bottled water yourself, or stop by and get the liquid formula ahead of time. If not, let me know, and since we're driving, maybe we can help.

Any other questions, and I'm sure that we can try to help!!!

Important Dining Poll:

I just got off the phone with DCL regarding early dining for our cruise. For those of us who have decided to link with others from this thread for dining, I'm going to take a poll as to what rotation you would prefer so that I can note that to DCL.

Here are the options:

1. Triton's 5:30 This would be TAAP
2. Animator's 5:45 This would be APPT
3. Parrot Cay 6:00 This would be PTTA

4. I don't have a preference

If you could please post your preference here, I will pick up the results.

I don't want any hard feelings, so whichever rotation has the most votes is what I'm going to request.

Keep in mind this does not mean we will get this rotation, it's only a request.

Thanks.

Cindy
