Mary - those are great! Sadly I have yet to start on the pages from last year - guess I've been a bit busy ;)

Julie, I haven't started either and I don't even have the reason of planning a wedding.

Somehow it just doesn't happen. I really need to go to more crops, it's a great way to get some concentrated time.

I had a PM from cubbybear1 to join our "party bus"

I will try to introduce cubbybear1 and hopefully get her out of lurking mode. Cubbybear1 and DH have been OKW owners since 1995. This is their first cruise and I hope we can encourage them to come out of lurking mode and introduce themselves.

WELCOME CUBBYBEAR1!!:goodvibes

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

Truly, we don't bite, not even Diana in a long, long time! ;)

Nick starts school tomorrow. Our school always starts the Wednesday after Labor day.

Jeff and I are leaving work early on friday to attend my unions annual picnic so we told Nick we would talk him out for dinner to celebrate going back to school. He wants to go tp Panera Bread so he can get one of those Crispani flat bread pizza's.

We have Panera Bread here too! Cameron & Walker love to have their soup in a bread bowl. We don't go there often, but we've always enjoyed it when we do!

Have fun & good luck to Nick (tomorrow). pixiedust:

Diana,
I feel for you DisSister. After closing my mouth from the shock of being spoken to in such a manner, my first words - in no uncertain tone would be, "Manager, Now!" That CM would have had a very NON Disney moment in the most unpleasant manner that I could create. YOU & EVERY guest spend hundreds, if not over a thousand dollars every trip. As a DVC members you (and every nut here) have spent tens of thousands for Disney magic. The idea behind the CM is understandable, BUT the manner in which it is presented is as important as the idea. Cracking a letter off to Disney would NOT be out of line.

My 2 cents worth. YOU can call me a cheat ;), but NOBODY speaks to my DISfriends like that!

(Giving you an affection slug in the shoulder since you don't do hugs)

Thanks, you know for a cheater, you're a pretty nice guy! :lmao:

Hey, if I get stuck as the biter of the group, you're stuck as the cheater!!

For those of you tuning in late--Curt is no longer allowed to participate in any thread voting because---well, he CHEATS!!! :lmao:

Hey everyone! This is going to be my last post before I leave for Phoenix in the morning. I have to be up at 4am, and I'm still not packed yet, so I need to get moving. Anyway, I won't be home until Sunday night around 7:30pm, so if I'm lucky and the flight isn't delayed, I just might be able to make it home by 9pm for DVC chat. We'll see!!

Have a great rest of the week, everyone, and a fantastic weekend!!! I know that I will!!!

Amy, have a safe trip and lots of fun!! :cheer2:

Awesome!

I love the one of Emma and Minnie. And, the one of Emma looking out the window.

I never thought to include our magnets in a scrapbook. How cool is that idea! :cool1: I had forgotten about some of those until seeing them tonight. I miss Old Mrs. Lips. And, Lisa and her goat on a rope!

Oh I love getting the soup in the bread bowls! Yummy!

I'll let Nick know you send good luck wishes. He'll have to send Cameron an email to let him know how things went.

Ilene, since you let the cat out of the bag--ask HR how much weight is involved. My friend is a lactation consultant and the only thing she lifts is babies--most do not weigh more than 10-15lbs and breast pumps and again they are not very heavy--I would guess under 5 lbs. I honestly can't see the weight being very high and I have faith that you could do it. Good luck

Jacqui

Of course there are the Mom's with really big breasts - but they shouldn't weigh more than 10 lbs with milk!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I can say this - I breastfed and had very large breasts (then)!

Safe travels Amy :moped: . Hope you have a fabulous time!

HEY THAT'S ME!!! On the bottom right in the tie-die Mickey Shirt holding Julia!! :cool1: I'm famous!! I made it into Mary's scrapbook!!

This actually reminds me of a very odd thing that happened to me at Epcot last week. We were walking around World Showcase and came across Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear in Canada. I hadn't ever seen them before so I stopped to take their picture. There was a huge line and I didn't actually want to be in the picture, so I whipped out the camera and opened the lens. With the crazy humidity it fogged up instantly, so I stood their trying my best to clear it without killing the camera. The CM helping Koda and Kenai says to me, in the LOUDEST and RUDEST voice possible.....DO NOT TAKE PICTURES OF OTHER PEOPLES CHILDREN. So, now every single person in the line stares at me--and the 9 million other people walking around WS stop in their tracks. Now surely, I can't be the only person who doesn't wait in the line to take pics of the characters and just snaps the pic when one kid is done and the other kid is being pushed by their parents to approach the character?? I don't want to make the line longer, when I don't want to be in the pic when I can just stop for a second, snap and go. Talk about embarrasing. Now every picture I took from that point on I thought--how in the world would it be possible to be at WDW and not get other peoples kids in your pictures?? :confused3 I've gone to Disney over 30 times and I've never been spoken to in that tone. And this was an older woman--not a college student who I would expect attitude from. Old enough to know I was cleaning the lens on my camera still and old enough to know that's not how you talk to people. :furious:

OOH TZ moment as this happened to us last year - we were at MGM and Donald Duck was on the ground (yes there was a child as well) - it was a very touching moment so I took a photo along with 20 others and we got scolded as well "DON'T TAKE PHOTOS OF OTHER PEOPLE's CHILDREN" - we joke now about it but I had no idea!

Ok good. I was waiting for you to post that you watched before I commented! :lmao: Boogie looked SO mad!!!! :lmao: And I'm hoping that Erica has been the victim of really bad CBS editing because otherwise that girl is going to need some serious therapy.

Then I suppose I should have flagged down some CM's to escort us through the MK when Walker got his green mohawk and Toon Town Tiger face paint. There were several people who snapped his picture as we were walking by and he wasn't even with a character. I took it as they thought it was really neat. They will never be able to identify my child as my child and personally, I wouldn't think twice about it.

Now, if it was a little kid in a bathing suit, alone, I might think someone had an perverted motive, but come on, these are characters.

I think I'm with Curt on this one. I would have been rather upset and at least said something.

The thing I notice in August was the CM's who asked Walker to say the "magic" word. Nope, it's not Mickey Mouse (which he tried first) it was "please". I usually correct/remind my children of their manners when they forget them and was slightly offended that the CM's took it upon themselves to do it for me. It happened more than once so I wondered if it is now part of their training? Oops, what does that say about my kid and his manners. We'll be brushing up on them starting now.
