Good morning everyone! Had a fun but very late time last night. Went to Septemberfest with Cindy & Gary. It is huge! I couldn't believe how many people were there. The festival in our town is about 1/50th of this size. Cindy and Gary had staked out a great spot for us. Heard one band called Modern Day Romeos that were good and then had about a 30-40 minute break where we could chat and wait for Gary Sinise and his band. Gary plays but doesn't sing much. Overall a very good performance but I think we could have all done without the long haired lead singer constantly swinging his hair. Could have done without some of the rude people who would just try and cut through where you were sitting. The best thing though is that we got to spend time with Cindy and Gary. Thanks for a great evening guys!
Mary, your up early!!
I don't want to be up, we went to bed as soon as we got home and the alarm rang much to early at 5:45. Cameron's dragging and wanted to stay in bed, but we have cleanup at 7:00 for Boy Scouts. I certainly hope we don't have to clean up the area where all the people sat last night

because I KNOW it will take more than the 1 hour we were estimated.
Oh, Mary, my long haired dude. His straight blonde hair was down to about his mid-back and he'd shake to get it into his face and then swing it out of the way. I wanted to run up there with a pair of scissors or better yet, a pair of crew cut clippers and cut if all off.

I wonder if in his normal day to day he does that?? I commented to Mary that I don't know how he didn't get whip lash with all the neck flinging he was doing.
Gary Sinisi does not sing, does not attempt to sing but seems to play guitar pretty well. It certainly looked like he was enjoying himself. He sounds just like himself on TV. They had an awesome set of drum players. Gary mentioned they play a lot for military personnel which is really cool and talked a little about how the military is volunteers and all.
It's been years since we've actually been to the fest to hear one of the bands play. Something tells me it might be years before we go back. It sure was crowded and Mary is right, some people don't care if your sitting there or not, they are still walking through. If your lucky you won't get stepped on, but you might get their beer spilled on your legs, or used to hold them up as they are climbing over you.
It was fun.
Now we're off to another running day. With any luck, we'll be done at 2 and still have a part of the day to do something else.
Steve, no pictures, sorry. The crowd was so thick there was no way we could get out of our area and although Mark tried to take one with my digital, it was much too dark.
