We haven't started on our door magnets yet. I have to find magnet sheets first. I didn't see any at Officemax when we where there yesterday buying Nick's school supplies so I have to look around fo some or do something else.
I never found the magnet sheets last year. But, what I did was I laminated my door signs, then bought a roll of adhesive magnet strips and just cut them to length. It worked out perfectly and a lot cheaper.

8 Weeks! I can't wait! I am REALLY looking forward to getting away. There is so much to do - find pirate costumes, figure out whether we'll go with the dining plan or dining experience, shop, pack and whatever else I can think of between now and October 21!
Right now, I'm working on getting ready for my Phoenix scrapbook retreat in less than 2 weeks. It came up WAY too quickly. Then, I'm also trying to coordinate Emily's 5th birthday party (bday is 10/5) which we are going to have with one of Emily's really good friends, Emma, who's birthday is the day after Emily's. We would be inviting all the same girls (they want to have a princess tea party), so we decided to just do a joint party. Then, after that, I can start to think about the cruise.

Instead of an KK stop, why can't those that are having breaky at Cape May just take a few off the buffet! ;) Ok, just kidding!

I'm waiting until after our quick trip over Labour Day Weekend to work on my door decs! I'm also doing the Laminating and adding the magnetic strips! Way Cheaper!

8 Weeks! So much still to do and so little time!

Ok, I'm all caught up and done talking to myself.

So, everyone, please keep us in your thoughts and keep Ernesto away from us. Currently, we are in the "cone of uncertainty" and actually we're right in the path. I'm not looking forward to that. It can change in an instant, but we're definitely keeping our eyes on Ernesto!!!

Haven't started on our door signs for SSMC06 yet but did find a couple from our May cruise that we can use again.

I also ordered our Hydro Crocs for the cruise this morning.

Slowly getting ready.

Did you order them from the Crocs site? They really are cute water shoes.......ok, for Mark they're really cool water shoes! I might have to break down and order them. I need water shoes for some of the excursions we are taking next month and I haven't found a regular pair of water shoes in any store.

Yes I ordered them right from the site. Got the blue/black for both of us since they go with our suits. Our old water shoes were just not comfortable anymore and we both love crocs so why not. Receipt says i should have them within 10 days.

Good Afternoon all....I'm trying to catch up from yesterday and today...Hope everyone had a great weekend! We had an excellent one, but was a very busy weekend. Tim's(DBF) grandfather was in the 95th infantry division in WWII and they had there annual convention this weekend near here in Rosemont. So we went up on Friday night, and just got back this afternoon. When we arrived Friday night, it was about 8pm, and the hotel was very busy. I look over near the front door, and there is all these women dressed in things I wouldnt be caught dead in, butts hanging out, fishnet pantyhose, short skirts, and it just gets worse from there. Tim looks at me and says I didnt know they let the hookers in the hotels. I burst out laughing, and told him to stop before they hear him. We had no idea what was going on at that point, just that there were alot of women with not alot of clothes on. It was alot of fun, and laughs. Tims dad later tells us that there is a Playboy bunnies reunion from the 60's 70's 80's and 90's. Along with some photo shoots, and a webpage shoot. Don't know what the hotel was thinking when they booked these 2 conventions together. :confused3 . I was afraid these WWII vets were going to have heart attacks from the way these girls were dressed. It was a very amusing weekend for me, I just sat and people watched both nights til about 1 am, and it was fun. I seen things that I couldnt believe I had seen. Then today as we were leaving, they were having a final photo shoot, so I just sat on the lobby chair and watched the outfits go by me. They were very interesting! But back to the convention, it was different for me, but I enjoyed it alot. Got to meet alot of different people.

 Happy Anniversary, Debbie and Bruce!

Unixadm....Nice car, I am jealous! I've always wanted a convertible...Someday when my girls are older I will have it!

8 weeks!!! Woo Hoo!!! :cheer2:
I cant believe it is only 8 weeks away!

What are these door decorations???? I have no idea what you guys are talking about?

I followed this thread way back in it's infancy, but haven't been on for quite awhile. That's because I planned to cancel our cruise. I thought DD14's fall break was going to coincide with the cruise, but it doesn't. I should have cancelled by now, but I had my heart set on going.

So, now I am into the cancellation period with the major penalties quickly approaching and I still haven't cancelled. We received DD's school schedule last week and her first quarter should be relatively easy. She has 4 classes, two of which are choir and phy ed. But one of the classes is a science class.

I think the teachers are back at school beginning tomorrow, so we are going to go visit and ask if it will be possible (or nearly impossible) to make up the work. That will likely dictate whether we go or not.

I also checked the member cruise website and it doesn't show many kids going. If we decide to go, I certainly hope we don't feel out of place. Anyone else have teens going that aren't listed on the website --http://monorailgreen.info/member2006/meet.htm#diana For those of you on previous member cruises, was it more of an adult only atmosphere?

It sounds like most everyone on this thread is signed up for early dining and linked together. We signed up for the late seating. Did I mess up? Should I get on a waitlist for early seating?

Also, we will be at WDW a few days before the cruise (when the fall break is scheduled). We are staying at VWL, but I saw something about a "party bus" leaving from BCV. We were going to arrange Disney transfers, but this sounds like more fun!! Is there still room for us? I guess we would need to take a cab from VWL to BCV - anyone know the approx cost for that? Also, do you have a ppn estimate for the bus?

Are there any DIS meets being considered at WDW before the cruise?

Sorry for all the questions -- that's what happens when you don't keep up with the 900+ pages of posts on this thread!!! :confused3

Thanks all!

Hello, everyone just checking to see if my sign on still works.. can't wait going on the DVC cruise then the Pin cruise almost back to back. Just home for 3 days enough time to do laundry.

I sent it to your email. If I dont do things when Im thinking about them its all over, LOL. I probably wouldnt think of it again for another week or two.

Nice to see you both checking in!

MickeyMagic - Roxann is organizing the bus from Beach Club. I think there are still some seats available and last cost was $18.82 per person round trip. Please pm her directly to check availability.

Frank - it will be great sailing with you guys again!

As for the DIS meet. We have two planned. The first will be Saturday the 21st at 3pm in the Solarium at the Beach Club. The second will be on Sunday the 22nd on deck 10 of the Disney Wonder. We'll be working on updating the website in the next week with all the info.

Also if you (or anyone else) hasn't sent in your info yet you aren't too late to be included in the buttons and mini-navigator. Full details on the web site which you can get to by clicking on the Member Cruise logo in my signature.

Hi MickeyMagic!! I sure hope that you can go on the cruise. Hopefully your DDs teachers will let her go without too much homework. Sure, there are less kids on the cruise, but there are other cruisers with kids going. I know that on our DIS kids list, there are 8 kids from 13-16 yrs old. Hope that helps.

There are a quite a few early diners on this list, but I know that there are a few with late dining. You might be able to link up with one of those families.

If you contact Roxann (rsschneck), she can give you some information about the "party bus". I believe that the cost was around $18-19 per person and I think that there was still room for 8 or 9 more people. I think that the price goes down for everyone if more people add on.

We do have a DIS meet on Saturday afternoon at 3pm at the Beach Club Solarium.

Thanks all!

Mickey Magic

I was sent a PM and an email from 4greatboys aka Deena about hooking up with the party bus. Deena still has not given a confirmed yes or no about joining our group. I will assume yes for right now and there are 5 in their family. Which means there is room for 4 more passengers on the party bus.

Our original count is 38 busers @ $18.82 per person round trip. If Deena's party of five joins us then the price goes down to $16.63 per person. If we have more passengers then the price will continue to drop.

I am keeping track of who is going, who has paid already and where they are staying before and after the cruise. Some folks are getting together and taking a mears shuttle and splitting costs that way to come and go from BCV's. Or you could get a taxi. You could call BCV and ask who they recommend for taxi service. You could call the taxi service directly and tell them your pick up and drop off location and ask them the total cost for how many folks are in your group. BCV direct number 407-934-2175.

Right now we are scheduled to leave BCV on Sunday @ 9:00 am and we are scheduled to leave Port Canaveral Thursday @ 9:30 am.

You can PM me I have cleaned out my PM box so you should have no problem. I would want to know ASAP if you are joining our group because I will need to figure out what the transfers will actually be costing everyone and probably be owing some folks some money back.

Mickey Magic and 4greatboys please let me know ASAP if you will be joining the "party bus"

Now who can we get to go on a KK run for the busers before we head out to Port Canaveral?:confused3

I will definately keep good thoughts headed your way. Yesterday we were in that cone if uncertainty and its not fun wondering if you going to get hit or not and how bad it might be.
