Amy - definately keeping you and everyone in the way of the storm in our thoughts and prayers.

Amy - we thought of you guys right away when we noticed this AM the storm turned. While I am happy to see it's moved away from Jamaica I was not happy to see it towards Florida. We're thinking of you guys!

Mickey Magic - I hope you join us!!!! Last year there were teens on the ship and they appeared to have a grand time!

PINOCCHIO - nice to see you posting!

uh oh, DH saw THE CAR pics as he was passing by me, said something about being able to change the color of the dash lights in that model?
Me, I look and say "pretty blue car!"

Amy, PD that nothing bad happens with that storm.

laminating and magnet strips? Hmmmm, may have to think out this one. I need to buy magnet material but if the other way is less $$$ I may have to learn about laminating. Any tips?

Here are our wedding invitations and welcome party invites for those who are interested! We used a new company out of California for the invites and have been nothing but absolutely impressed - www.bucklepress.com is their site. Fabulous team of women who specialize in letterpress but can do other printing as well. They hand-lined our envelopes - ooh so cool!

Please excuse the poor photo taking I seem to be exhibiting here - the flash either bounced off the page or the color looks strange yet it all matches.

Outside envelope with calligraphy (wish I could show you the whole thing but well privacy!)

Inside - sleeve instead of an envelope (you start to see our monogram here)

:rotfl:

Yes, the dash light color can be changed with the push of a button. They have them lit with LED's and it can be changed to be Green, Blue, Red, Purple, White, Orange or 125 different combinations that can be stored. I like the Red....looks pretty cool at night.

Very cool invitations, Julie!! So, is that burgundy and black? They look really nice!! Very elegant!!!

Thanks Julie - We really won't know the actual path until it comes off of Cuba, because it can change SO much. But, we're keeping on our toes and just getting ready in case.

Hey there!!!

Amy - Keeping you in my thoughts while watching this crazy weather

Julie - The invitations are gorgeous, very elegent!

Tina - That sounded like a heck of a weekend. Glad those vets got something "interesting" to look at in their golden years!!

Amy we are thinking about you and hope the storm just brings a little rain.

Julie I love your invitations. Thank you for taking the time to show us them. These are by far the best I have ever seen. Your wedding is going to be so beautiful. :cloud9:

I have been trying to decide if homeschooling would work for us. I am really sick of the whole public school and would love to spend more time with my girls. I just don't know if I could do it and keep them in line. I am looking at a program that is very structured and part of it is done online. Does anyone have any experiences both good or bad? It seems like around here quite a few people are doing home school for various reasons.

Amy, Sending good thought s and pixie dust your way!

Julie, BE U T FULL!!!! Your wedding is going to be very Magical!

I love DD's school! I should I spend enough time there. I am the volunteer coordinator (was last year too). I usually spend Thursday and Friday at the school and know the teachers, principal, etc. etc. I could not handle the homeschooling. Not enough struncture for DD. She has a short attention span and it would drive me nuts!!! Helping her with her homework is about all I can handle at times. Good luck with your decision!

Julie your invitations are beautiful. Your sisters dress is very elegant looking. You're going to have a very beautiful wedding.

Oohhh, so elegant!! I can't wait to see pictures!! But, I have to admit that if we're in the area, I might just have to see if I can catch a glimpse of the bride & groom from afar!!!

Ann Marie - I would drop a pm on Karen (ohiominnie). She homeschools and IMHO does a great job. I'm sure she would be able to answer any questions you have.

Julie - the invitations are beautiful and I love the dress. I too may need to sneak a peak at the happy couple. You must be getting so excited! Here all of us are getting excited over the cruise and you have so much more to think and be happy about. I hope everything goes well for you.

Amy - thoughts and pixie dust with you and my other friend Amy who lives in Safety Harbor. I heard the storm was downgraded back to TS. I hope it stays at that level and goes away fast!

Tina - I know hotels want to fill their space but I can't believe the two different groups at the same location - Grandpas and bunnies - what a combination!! :rotfl2: Last year, we were in Philadelphia for a college hockey tournament. As I was checking in, so was a woman in her mid 20's who had a tail! There was some strange sci-fi conference going on and there were some strange looking people at the hotel but it was a lot of fun to people watch - especially after some of them had a few drinks too many. One of them lost their tail in the rotating door! It was very funny.

I hope to be in chat tonight after BB7. I just read the spoiler thread and couldn't be happier about the POV! I won't give any infomation for those that don't want to know before the show airs.

Oh, that's right!! Our weather guys keep saying that it will most likely strengthen again because of the warm waters. But, the biggest worry for us if it stays on course and goes into the gulf and makes land just north of us. That means that it pushes all the water from Tampa Bay inland which causes major flooding. We'll just watch and wait, because there's not much else we can do.

I'll be there after BB7 too. I haven't read any spoilers, so I'm looking forward to see the outcome. For now, POTC is on regular TV, so I'm just watching that to pass the time until 8pm.
