Julie - the invitations are beautiful and I love the dress. I too may need to sneak a peak at the happy couple. You must be getting so excited! Here all of us are getting excited over the cruise and you have so much more to think and be happy about. I hope everything goes well for you.

I hope to be in chat tonight after BB7. I just read the spoiler thread and couldn't be happier about the POV! I won't give any infomation for those that don't want to know before the show airs.

Annmarie

Thanks Annmarie! Matt and I were just discussing this yesterday. He'd been to see David (thanks again David!!!) about our rings and they were chatting about the cruise. Matt mentioned that he wasn't sure if I was more excited about the cruise or the wedding and I think honestly right now I am really looking forward to the cruise. 4 days of relaxation, no one emailing me questions about the wedding, no vendors to deal with and basically it will all be done. I am very excited about the wedding, but once we hit WDW we'll be swamped with family obligations etc until Monday (when they all leave lol) so it won't be relaxing.

thanks for not posting the BB7 info - we're tivoing it as I'm working on wedding stuff upstairs and watching the emmy's.

Hi everyone

Cool car, unixadm. I hope my DH doesn't see it -- we were just talking about buying more of a family car/van to replace his. I don't want him to get any ideas!

Nice to see new posters as well as past cruisers post again.

Julie, your invites are spectacular. I love the dress as well. Your wedding is going to be so magical -- I just wonder between that and the cruise coming up, are you perpetually excited? :Pinkbounc

Amy, stay safe. I hope Ernesto disipates before it gets into the Gulf and have good thoughts for everyones safety.

We got home from camping a while ago. Now we have a lot of cleaning up to do as everything always smells like smoke. The kids fished :fish: both yesterday and today, although the fish just weren't biting. They rented a boat yesterday afternoon and I stayed with the dog on shore as we were not sure how he'd do. Today, we all went out in the boat and the dog could have cared less, just layed on the bottom and slept.

Last night, we went catfish fishing about 10 p.m. Walker gave up quickly as it was rather slow going for him so Gary took him back to the campsite. Cameron & I stayed down there until our ride was ready to head back. When we got back to camp, Walker & Gary were already asleep so Cameron & I relighted the fire and sat and talked while the creatures roamed behind us. We could hear them back there but everytime we'd shine our flashlight, we couldn't see a thing. It was a bit spooky. Then his morning, Gary tells us that he was sleeping with his arm up against the side of the tent and could feel "something" roaming along the edge of the tent. :scared: Good thing it didn't come that close to visit while we were awake, or I would have awoken the entire camp with my reaction. I did have an encounter with a dead frog as we were walking back from the bathrooms about 1 a.m. and that was enough to freak me out a bit (okay, a lot!).

For August, it was almost on the chilly side today. Just a little rain yesterday and today is very overcast with a little nip in the air. Once school starts, autumn is just around the corner.

Probably no chat for me tonight -- those of you who do, have fun!

Thanks, all, for the welcome back and words of encouragement. And thanks for the info on the party bus and DIS meets. I sent a PM to rrschneck and hope to be joining the 'party bus' if we are able to go on the cruise.

Prayers and pixie dust and to all who may be affected by Ernesto.

Julie - Wow! What a dream wedding you have planned!

Now who can we get to go on a KK run for the busers before we head out to Port Canaveral?:confused3

Roxann...turns out that we are staying at the Howard Johnson right down the street from the KK at 5318 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy - Kissimmee, Fl....I think we could manage to pick them up. :thumbsup2

Also we have had another change in plans...SW had a ding special to Orlando for $54 each way, so we booked it, and we are now flying into Orlando early Sat. morning...Yeah!!! :cheer2: So we will make the Sat meet!

Amy....Stay safe! You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Julie....Beautiful, elegant invitations and dress. Good Luck with all your wedding plans!

We had a busy, busy day so I'm just now getting caught up. We were up and out of the house early this morning for a couple of appointments. I'm looking forward to next weekend when we'll have 2 days to totally kick back and relax - nothing at all on the calendar.

I was wondering if anyone has pics of doorsigns and/or magnets from last year. I'm just curious what y'all did cuz I don't remember seeing anything like this on our last cruise. Although that was over 3 years ago so I may just be experiencing that "mommy brain" that was being discussed a few days ago.

Good Afternoon all....I'm trying to catch up from yesterday and today...Hope everyone had a great weekend! We had an excellent one, but was a very busy weekend. Tim's(DBF) grandfather was in the 95th infantry division in WWII and they had there annual convention this weekend near here in Rosemont. So we went up on Friday night, and just got back this afternoon. When we arrived Friday night, it was about 8pm, and the hotel was very busy. I look over near the front door, and there is all these women dressed in things I wouldnt be caught dead in, butts hanging out, fishnet pantyhose, short skirts, and it just gets worse from there. Tim looks at me and says I didnt know they let the hookers in the hotels. I burst out laughing, and told him to stop before they hear him. We had no idea what was going on at that point, just that there were alot of women with not alot of clothes on. It was alot of fun, and laughs. Tims dad later tells us that there is a Playboy bunnies reunion from the 60's 70's 80's and 90's. Along with some photo shoots, and a webpage shoot. Don't know what the hotel was thinking when they booked these 2 conventions together. :confused3 . I was afraid these WWII vets were going to have heart attacks from the way these girls were dressed. It was a very amusing weekend for me, I just sat and people watched both nights til about 1 am, and it was fun. I seen things that I couldnt believe I had seen. Then today as we were leaving, they were having a final photo shoot, so I just sat on the lobby chair and watched the outfits go by me. They were very interesting! But back to the convention, it was different for me, but I enjoyed it alot. Got to meet alot of different people.
Sounds like a great weekend Tina. People watching is always so much fun. I bet it was a real hoot seeing those two groups at the same time.

I followed this thread way back in it's infancy, but haven't been on for quite awhile. That's because I planned to cancel our cruise. I thought DD14's fall break was going to coincide with the cruise, but it doesn't. I should have cancelled by now, but I had my heart set on going.

So, now I am into the cancellation period with the major penalties quickly approaching and I still haven't cancelled. We received DD's school schedule last week and her first quarter should be relatively easy. She has 4 classes, two of which are choir and phy ed. But one of the classes is a science class.
I hope you'll be able to cruise with us. But of course your daughter's education comes first. Good luck with her teachers.

Hello, everyone just checking to see if my sign on still works.. can't wait going on the DVC cruise then the Pin cruise almost back to back. Just home for 3 days enough time to do laundry.
Wow, that sounds like so much fun. I'd love to do a back-to-back - or even a few days apart like you - cruise sometime, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

Julie, your invitations are beautiful. And that dress your sister will be wear, just gorgeous! Can't wait - well, really I can - to see pics of your special day. (We can't sneak a peak since we'll already be back home by then.)

Sounds like a fun weekend of camping. I used to camp out, wouldn't mind again. But I don't think "roughing it" is David's idea of fun or relaxation. :(

Amy, Cheryl, Jeff, Connie, and anyone else in the potential path of Ernesto, y'all are in my thoughts and prayers that this storm either fizzles out or turns out to sea before getting anywhere near y'all. pixiedust:

Okay, enough rambling to myself. See y'all tomorrow.
