Cheryl,

They are called accidents because NOBODY plans them, they stink and they come at the WORST times. I hate being in them and I HATE going to them. I'm very glad you & Todd walked away with only shaken nerves and a bad day. There is always tomorrow. I highly recommend you follow the game plan I spelled out for Diana & Cindy and have a better day. Remember a really good day is only 73 days 3 hrs. 10 mins. 34 secs away.

Best regards -

About your game plan, Curt. I'm traveling alone with the boys and I'm sure they will push me to the point of wanting to :drinking1 but since I'm driving and we're not using Mickey transportation, I'll have to save my drinking for that special day 73 days from now. :Pinkbounc

I love the rest of your post though. I love how you use the smilies to incorporate your thoughts. :cool1:

Ok so skip step one, nuff said. Save it for when Cpt Henry (or one of his counterparts) is driving.

Cheryl glad to hear that you and Todd are ok. I hope that is the last accident for all of us. There are some crazy drivers out there.

Curt nice to see you back. I think the girls miss you. They told their friends about beating you in basketball. :rotfl2:

I let 'em win, yea that's it I let them win in accordance with, what did Todd say? "after developing a system of safe and fair play?" something like that...

it's the story I'm sticking with anyway. :rotfl2:

Thanks everyone. I am still "shaken up". Yes definitely be careful out there folks.

Todd and Cheryl, I'm glad you're allright and the damage is minimal.

To everyone visiting Florida - Watch out when entering an intersection directly after a light turns green. The drivers here are a little  . They constantly run red lights and speed up to do it. And this happens a lot more than one would like to believe. I now understand why my insurance went up when I moved from NJ. I usually wait a second or two more than normal after the light changes just because it's not worth taking the chance. Let the people you behind honk (which they also do down here). Enough soapbox talk.

Cindy - Where are you going to be Saturday? I will probably be at Millionaire for a good portion of the day. Let me know if you want to meet up.

At WDW!! :Pinkbounc

I really haven't planned out our days. I really want this trip to be Walker & Cameron driven (as if they all aren't anyway) so I'm not exactly sure what our plans are. I will send you a PM with my cell phone number, though.

Bruce called DVC today and booked our transfers for the cruise. The bus doesn't leave BW until 12:45!! :furious: I'm never going to get on the ship!!! :furious: Last year I was mad at 11:45, but 12:45 is a whole entire hour later!!

I'm going to start to look at an alternate method. Renting a car doesn't work well because between renting and parking and dragging 2 car seats, it's not worth it. :headache:

And after all the bad stuff they say about NJ drivers, you mean to tell me the FL drivers are worse? I have no patience when it comes to driving with idiots on the road. Maybe I should rethink my big plans to move to Florida......oh, wait, they don't have winter there---yea, I'll deal with the crazy drivers!

It's been a long time since we had girls in car seats, and I know you said you don't want to rent, but if you did is it possible to get car seats from a rental agency? And could you do the rent the car, drive it to a rental agency near the port, and return it? We did that last year and even going into Ft. Lauderdale, we just took a bus to the airport and picked up another car. And, here's a bonus....we didn't have to ride with Dan!
Good luck in whatever you decide, Diana! pixiedust:

So, while we didn't have a car accident today (Cheryl, glad you two are OK!!), Ken did have a little boo-boo here at home. He accidentally spilled his Diet Coke onto and into our cable box which is on the kitchen counter. This is NOT what I did... :happytv: We let it dry out for 1/2 an hour, and it doesn't work. I called the cable company and they said to let it dry overnight, on a fan, and it might work again. I hope so because a new box would cost us $275! I think if it still doesn't work, we'll just drop the digital portion of our cable and just go with basic!

well on the car accident front Todd and I were just in one. Our light had turned green, we went through the intersection and hit a car that ran the other light. We are both fine although a few more seconds earlier and we could have been hit. The front bumper and hood have damage.
OH NO!!! There is it!! There's the 3rd one. Don't they always say that bad things happen in 3s?!?!??

I'm glad to hear that you and Todd are ok!!!

There's no one midship on Deck 7 except me. Did Julie and Chris talk about what terrible neighbors we were on SSMC05? :confused3

I don't know, Diana, we're just around the corner from you. And nanajoy isn't that far either.

That's what we're doing, well sort of. We're renting a car for the whole week but returning it to the rental agency near port, then taking Disney transportation back to the airport after the cruise. We will have Ian's carseat with us, so even though we don't have to rent one we will have to figure out how to stow it on the ship.

Hey all,

Todd & Cheryl, Glad you are OK.

Checked with AA, there are no liquids allowed. Only for flights into the UK are electronics not allowed.

Also, I just found out my dad is back in the hospital with diverticulitus. The Kumaden is making him bleed.
:figment:

You're not kidding, Jeff!! FL is the red-light running capital of the world!!! It is really bad down here. I never realized it until I moved here!!! Heck, a few years ago, the intersection right by our house was one of the nation's most dangerous!!!

Alamo charges $9 a day to rent a seat times 2 times all those days I'd be better off buying cheap ones. Right now we have Britax car seats for the girls. They are supposed to be the cream of the crop in carseats but they weigh about 900 lbs and are huge.

And I did think about renting and dropping off at the port while bringing our own seats. I already stow the double stroller in the bathtub, I have no clue where I'd keep 2 car seats. For those of you that came to visit me last year, after the first days presents---how insanely messy was my room? It was like an obstacle course to get from the door to the bed! :rotfl:

I'm thinking now about maybe a towncar to the port and then DCL tranfers back. Can anyone recommend a good company?

What about renting carseats from the car rental agency?? It'll cost more, but you won't have to drag them around.

Oh yeah, living with the crazy drivers is WAY better than dealing with winter.

Yikes! Glad you and Todd were not hurt. I can't believe how many accidents there has been here on our thread this week. Until the full month passes everyone quit driving :teeth:

Very sad, but great news that they stopped them before it was too late.

For some strange reason right before I fly they always raise the terror alert level. I don't know if I should be more at ease because that means they are checking better or more nervous. :sad2:

You know, I didn't mind all the travel I do before this, but now I'm going to have to check my bags every trip and that is a royal pain in the you know what.

But, I have a great entrepreneurial idea. I should start a business that collects your sundries at the airport and delivers them to your destination. This way, you can still avoid checking your bags and having to pay exhorbatant prices at the hotel sundry shops.
