Cindy - wow, I never expected that (about the entertainment), although it's possible if they are pulling in any big names that perhaps it takes this long to secure them? If that's not the case then I guess we'll all have to create some of our own fun/chaos! pirate: Heck it would just be nice to know they remember we're out here. :thumbsup2

Have you guys checked out the cruise website? We can download our docs and fill them out that way now - very cool! I didn't play with it much but needed something on our reservation the other day and there they were.

So does anyone think we might have the option for Palo brunch on days other than the sea day? What time can we book these items - is it 2 am (OMG) for those of us in Central Time Zone?

Stacy - congrats on the new car!!! We drove an HHR on a trip to Disney this year for NYE (i think it was that trip) and it was fun.

Diana - you are a brave woman! Lying was a serious offense in our house growing up ... and I would have been afraid of you the minute you called me out on it. Go girl!

Cindy - I hope your kitchen PC recovers quickly!

Thanks everyone for the B-day wishes -- I had a wonderful day with Steve -- dinner and POTC - DMC ---------talk about a perfect day.

Thanks again

Coleen

I'm sure that was a sight!

You really make me feel old, Diana. I know this is your 1/2 sister, but she's not much older than my oldest child.

I don't deal well with lying either. Cameron's been caught a couple of times with it and I'm trying to teach him that it's much better to come clean in the beginning and suffer the consequences than to lie about it and suffer even more. No one wants to suffer the wrath of Mom :scared: --- yet Cameron still doesn't get it. I guess that's the pre-teen/teenager part of him, thinking that he can outsmart this old fox. ;)

It seems like just yesterday your sister was there visiting. But, it was already an entire year ago. I'm sure it's a nice change for Emma and Julia to have her around -- as long as they don't pick up her not so good habits.

I so know what you guys mean. It must be an age thing. Nick has done it too. I have a small pictur frame on the top shelf of my book case, its has Mickey & Minnie on it (surprise, surprise). Well Minnie's ear was broken off, well he tried to blame the cats for that. But when you looked at the "scene of the crime" It was oblvious the cats didn't do it.
It's very frustrating :furious:

That's It!!!
The only difference is I got the LT which is the next step up and the color is Sport Red Metalic!

Good Morning! I'm off to work today for the morning. This afternoon I have a focus group I was invited to. It pays $250 for 2 hrs! That's not too shabby,eh?

I sure hope they make this cruise special someway. It's special to me just to go but most of you have done this before and want/need it to measure up so to speak. I hope they just didn't get tired of doing these and poop out on this one, I'd sure like some special amenities.

I really want a Palo ressie. What time can we book on the east coast?

Amy, I'll be thinking of Chris and sending get well wishes.

Hey I checked out what a Cricut was the other day at Michaels....OMG! They are so expensive, you guys must really be into this scrapbooking thing. That's great and there is so much online for support for all our
hobbies. I'm into knitting and go to conferences and get aways. I've
met lots of people/friends through my hobby as I'm sure you have too.

I start PT tonight for my arm pain and to strengthen the muscle...we'll see
I'm leary after my last go round with PT which did nothing.

Have a nice day all!

The cricut is incredibly expensive at $299, but when you use the coupons it makes it seem like you are getting a real bargain! :lmao: Hey, anyway I can justify it!! I am really into scrapbooking though. I've even started to travel to different scrapbooking events. In 2 weeks, I'm heading out to Valley Forge, PA for 3 days for a convention and then at the end of August, I'll be in WDW for 4 days at another scrapbooking convention. I needed to fill the time before the cruise with some fun!

Good morning everyone! I meant to post this last night but I was wiped out. I got Cindy's CJ in the mail yesterday. Now to find the time to finish it - after all I have to have it done by October 22nd. :lmao: Seriously it seems like just yesterday that Cindy came over for the day and we started work on the Circle Journals. Now the only pages that have to be added to hers are mine. Very cool! Cindy you are going to love your book - such fun entries.

I sent off the e-mail with the banana boat list this morning! Yeah! The girl from DCL actually sent me a follow-up e-mail on Monday so that made me feel good that she is thinking about us. Just needed one last piece of the puzzle and Mary gave that to me last night. We have 16 girls and 12 guys doing the boats. We are going to have a blast!

Erin, I couldn't agree more. I really think that DVC is missing the boat with their lack of information to their members. Even me, the non-planner, is starting to wonder just what is up with that.

I do have a scoop to share. I received an email today from someone stating that the entertainment for our cruise is still not finalized. This person was on the SSMC05 and it looks like will not be on the cruise, as of this time. But they did say that nothing has been finalized for our cruise yet --- which makes me a little more concerned.

I know that we put a lot of trust into this vacation. I doubt we'd be disappointed with just being on the cruise. But.......if I just wanted to be on a cruise, and not THE member cruise, we could have picked any of the other sailings on the Wonder and/or the Magic. We selected this cruise because it was THE member cruise. I'm hoping that DVC remembers that those of us on this sailing booked it because we wanted a special cruise.

I truly hope that we are not disappointed. :worried:

I admit to being a little disappointed that we haven't heard anything yet either. I guess we really were spoiled with the communication we got on the last cruise.

Looking back at the e-mails from last year we heard about our one guest the WDW Ambassador in the June 30th e-mail but it wasn't Christopher White. It was supposed to be Rebecca Godsil. Guess that shows how things do change.

We didn't hear about our other guests (Art Linkletter, Susan Egan, Chef Gordon, etc. until the August 25th newsletter - which was right before the sail date).

I'm saddened that they aren't offering pre-sale of special DVC Member Cruise merchandise like they did last year. I'm hoping they have something on the cruise itself for us to get.

Based on SSMC03 and SSMC05 I'm wondering if we'll have any repeat guests (with the exception of Jim Lewis). I know I would love to see Ducky again and I'm sure Cindy and others would love to See Chef Gordon again, but I don't remember any repeats of guests between the first two cruises.

It would be wonderful to hear something from DVC. Please!

Tomorrow is another hectic day. We have to pick up a moving truck and get my MIL's stuff loaded on since she is moving to North Carolina on Friday. In the middle of all that we have to go to the bank for a check and go to the dealership to pick up my NEW CAR!! :car: I finally found a car and will be picking it up tomorrow. I'm getting a Chevy HHR. I can't wait.

Congratulations Stacy. We rented a Chevy HHR after our May cruise. Mark really liked it and I found it nice and roomy. Enjoy!

BTW -did anyone notice we are closing in on a milestone? :thumbsup2

I'm with Diana, I'm very into scrapbooking. I've been to Orlando, Nashville twice and now I'm going to Phoenix in Sept for scrapbooking events. Not only do I get to go scrapbooking for a whole extended weekend, but I get to spend time with a bunch of ladies that "get it" about scrapbooking.

Personally, I'd be fine with not hearing any thing concrete from DVC. Like others have said, it would be nice to at least be acknowledged in some way. We're talking Disney here --- they have fabulous marketing and I'm fairly certain they could put something together that would appease us and not really say anything, all at the same time. A note of goodwill if you will. At least it would be something.

I noticed that yesterday, and thought that we just hit the last BIG milestone not that long ago.

I guess the old saying is true "Time flies when you're having fun!!!"

I did now.

We've sure come a long way, haven't we! :cool1:

There's a quietness that has fallen over our house. Everyone is gone, but me, and it is SO quiet here. The girls had "daddy day" today with Chris. He takes them both to breakfast at Chick-fil-A one morning a week, just to spend some daddy time with them. It started with just Emily during the school week, and he would just take her to school. But, the past few weeks this summer, he has taken both of them and just drops them back off at home on his way to work.

Anyway, I'm going to try to run a quick errand to Target when they open at 8am, before Chris gets home with the girls.

We love Chick-fil-a! What a nice little treat for the girls and a quiet day for you too!

Sometimes I forget about the time change between us. It's only 6:30ish around here, so to think that Chris & the girls are already up and out of the house, is kind of strange. But, I have to remember, it's already past 7:30 by you.

Your house must be like mine was last night. Strange when that happens.

Are you sure you don't want to run to Wal-Mart instead? :scared:

Uh, NO! No Wal-Mart runs for this girl. Actually, Wal-mart is quite a bit farther from my house, anyway. Target is less than 5 minutes away (only about 10 blocks), so it's my store of choice mostly because of convenience. But, also because the people at my Wal-Mart are just SLOW! I don't care how quick I intend a trip to Wal-Mart to be (because of course I don't want to be in there a long time), the cashiers are entirely too slow! I don't know what it is, but it's like they are moving in slow-motion, like I don't have anything else to do.

Anyway, I don't get more than about 1.5 hrs of quiet, but heck, once a week, it's kinda nice to have a quiet morning.
