But, the doctors have said that it doesn't look like it's serious.

They said that they may be able to do it as soon as next week, so we'll know soon when he's scheduled.

Mary the Hawaii trip sounds great. I keep trying to talk John into a cruise to Hawaii, but everytime I mention the word cruise he just rolls his eyes! I'm sure you guys will have a great time!
 
I need to make room reservations for before and after our Sept cruise today - hopefully, I'll decide on a place to stay. No more points so it will have to be a cash room!

Deanna's friend stayed the night last night and I'm taking them to the Bead Store. Today is Kids Day and they have special bracelets for the the kids to make. I guess I will just have to shop around while they make their bracelets :teeth:
 

Wow, I just noticed on my countdowns that we passed the 100 day mark! Down to double digits till we go on the Member Cruise! :Pinkbounc

Ditto what this other Mary said. It sure didn't affect his dancing ability at WCC in March! Hope he'll be up and dancing again soon after the surgery! :dancer:
 
Thanks guys!! Luckily, it has only bothered him when he sits too long. So, unfortunately, work days are REALLY tough for him. He has to put pillows down on pretty much any chair. It was really wierd because all the doctors that he talked to asked when he fell on his tailbone, and his answer was always, never. They can't imagine this kind of injury without falling. He just started having problems sitting.

So, we're just hoping that this will finally help, because this has been going on for months now.

Mary - that sounds fabulous for a vacation! I've been to Hawaii for a few days but only to Honolulu and I really want to get to Maui sometime. I'm sure Disney will not disappoint for a DVC Event ;)

Amy - lots of pixie dust to Chris and his surgery. I hope it brings the relief he is needing - back pain is awful!

Ok so we're now down to double digits and almost ready to book excursions etc... what's everyone booking? Anyone holding out hope we get something from DVC before that date? Sure am disappointed in this year's lack of communication - guess last year's team set the bar too high.

Oh also, we had an interesting experience at BCV this past weekend and I would like to write a letter to Carli with a copy to Jim's team. Can anyone PM me their contact info or point me to the right post to find it?

Basically we reserved and confirmed a 2 bedroom villa with a dedicated 2nd bedroom having 2 beds. This is a type of room you can reserve at BCV, it's not a request. So we check in, I ask and the not so on the ball CM says that she has no way to tell that we'll have to trek all the way to the room and come back if it's wrong. It was wrong, so I call (long walk back with 4 people and bags) and the first CM I get transfers me somewhere else. Customer Satisfaction or such and they tell me it's a request, I explain again that no it's not, it's on our confirmation as a room type, not like non smoking, I called day by day for this type of room, waitlisted for the nights we could not get and know that it's a type of room, so they transfer me to someone else. We get hung up on so I call back, get a new person who I explain the problem to again, they transfer me to the BC room assignor who I then (person #4) explain the problem to. She tells me it's a request and such - I offer to bring our confirmation to her so she can see it's not a request. She then states that it won't matter, they do not have any 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in the 2nd room for Thursday night. So I ask why they gave our guaranteed room away and she states she does not know. Needless to say I'm not happy and ask to speak to the manager. We wait on hold for 5 minutes and finally we get a manager (Janine) who understands the room type, explains that someone made a mistake and overroad our request to get us a non smoking room (that reminds me to put the medical need in since I am allergic) and that she's sorry but they cannot do anything until tomorrow. We stayed put and Matt slept on the pull out instead of a 2nd bed. Was it a problem, no, not really, but as a member I expect the employees (we spoke to 4 before anyone understood) should know the policies and room types. Why go to all the trouble if they are going to treat it as a request?
 
Sorry to hear of you room issues. I think part of the problem is that the desk staff move around from hotel to hotel so much. We actually had the same gentleman check us in at 3 different hotels in the last year. Maybe that is why there was some confusion. Hope it doesnt happen to you again.

Hmmm..we went through something similar last year at BCV with the dedicated room as well. They need to get on the same page and advise us WHAT exactly that page is!

Julie, I know that Cheryl has Carli's email address if she hasn't already contacted you, maybe you want to send her a PM. When you get a response, I'd love to hear the final outcome.

What would bother me most was being tossed around from CM to CM and having to re-repeat the story over and over and over again. When Cameron & I stayed at the Beach Club last year, that was the stay when we didn't have a phone and I got the same type of run around with that issue. Mistakes happen, I can accept that but when it seems like the buck is just being passed, that really irks me.

Maybe it's like Steve said --- CM's moving around frequently. Steve, did the CM remember you or did you remember him? I think it's really cool that some of us go frequently enough to recognize the Disney Cast Members.
 
Cindy, I recognized him, He had a peculiar voice and I remembered it as we checked in He was at SSR in Oct and OKW in Jan. I think he may have been at WL once too but it has been a few years.


We have a new Micro Brewery/Resturant in town. We are going there for early dinner and then to POTC2. I hope you all have a great evening!
