I admit to being a little disappointed that we haven't heard anything yet either. I guess we really were spoiled with the communication we got on the last cruise.

Looking back at the e-mails from last year we heard about our one guest the WDW Ambassador in the June 30th e-mail but it wasn't Christopher White. It was supposed to be Rebecca Godsil. Guess that shows how things do change.

We didn't hear about our other guests (Art Linkletter, Susan Egan, Chef Gordon, etc. until the August 25th newsletter - which was right before the sail date).

I'm saddened that they aren't offering pre-sale of special DVC Member Cruise merchandise like they did last year. I'm hoping they have something on the cruise itself for us to get.

Based on SSMC03 and SSMC05 I'm wondering if we'll have any repeat guests (with the exception of Jim Lewis). I know I would love to see Ducky again and I'm sure Cindy and others would love to See Chef Gordon again, but I don't remember any repeats of guests between the first two cruises.

It would be wonderful to hear something from DVC. Please!

I admit it's kind of killing me that we haven't heard anything yet. I don't need any earth shattering news but something would be nice.

I did like how they offered the presale of the DVC merchandise this way we could order it before hand and it was there waiting for us. No need to shop for it while on board.

I guess that would be me! :cool1:
It took me like 10 minutes to do that last post since we ar getting ready for our crazy day and I had to keep stepping away from the computer.

Congratulations Stacy!!

I'm packing up the computer, and heading off soon to my DD's in Indy. We fly out of Indy tomorrow for a brief stay at SSR, returning on Tues. Even better, I'll get to see my youngest DD!

I'll try to check in over the weekend!

Congrats Stacy on your post!

I'm feeling a bit on the old side today - my middle child has just turned 30 today and my baby turned 25 last week - one more birthday to make it thru - my oldest and the momma of the cutie, Christopher, will be another year older next week (not allowed to say her age anymore).
When did my kids get so old? Must have been when I was travelling to WDW so many times. Oh well, like many of you, I will have to wait til cruise time.

Wow, Mary! Lots of birthdays in your family in a short period of time. And remember, you're only as old as you feel (and that doesn't include how you feel physically, just mentally :thumbsup2 ). That's why I tease Chris that he isn't almost 40, he's almost 12.:rotfl2:

My birthday is next week too, but we're going out to celebrate tonight, because of Chris's surgery. We won't know how he's feeling next week, so we're just going to celebrate early. We're going to go to The Cheesecake Factory tonight for dinner. Yummy, haven't been there in a couple of years.

Good morning. I don't recall seeing this mentioned here, but I thought it was really cool:

While visiting Castaway Cay, guests should also be on the lookout for the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. With the Flying Dutchman lurking just off the shore, the eccentric captain may be spotted around the island. Guests are encouraged to approach the hero and hear his tales about adventure on the high seas. The charming pirate graciously accepts requests for portraits and autographs—if guests can manage to track him down.

I always wonder the same thing! I'm not even close to being old enough to have 3 kids in college - not sure where all the time has gone! My kids might have gotten old, but I sure didn't :Pinkbounc

Thanks Mary!!! I'm so excited

So do we pay now or when we board? Sorry if I missed that!

CONGRATS STACY!!! and MARY for the REPLY!!!

Stacy - I love that car in red - how awesome!

Diana and Amy - I would love to hear how you prepare and pack your things for the scrapbooking weekends. That really seems like something I would like to do and would love to hear more about it. We do them locally at a good friends home when her husband goes on his annual fishing trip and it's so much fun!

The charge for the banana boat and any excursions you may book yourself will be charged automatically to your onboard account. You should receive tickets for them in your stateroom in not when you arrive then soon after. Definately the first night. If you don't get them you can call me and we can talk to the shore excursion desk onboard. I'll bring copies of all my correspondence but I think the fact that the are showing on our accounts is a good thing.
