WOO HOO we can do laundry in Amy's villa :rotfl2:
Sure, come on over! It won't be any different than the party that Stacy, her dad and I had in the BWV laundry room on the Thursday night after the cruise. We'll just bring some drinks (Twisted Tea maybe???) and do some laundry.

Twisted Tea :teeth: :teeth: If that's the case, I just might have to join in on this laundry party. :cool1: I have yet to try one of those. We are going camping this weekend and I just might have to hunt some down before hand. My SIL has been buying these Smirnoff coolers when we go out there and I have to say, I like those. Not being a big drinker, I'm still kind of in the dark of all the cool stuff.

I do know about those lovely drinks they have on the ship. I remember those well -- especially the konk koolers. This year I'm just going to ask the guy to bring us an entire tray of them. No need to come back for a refill. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Good morning everyone!

We are at Boardwalk both before and after the cruise and did a one bedroom for the washer/dryer as well.

For SSMC05, ohiominnie and I were the only people staying at VWL after the cruise. Now that we're staying at BCV this year, all you guys are jumping ship and want to stay at VWL. I just may take that personally. :lmao:
That's not true, my sister and I were at VWL too! We had ressies there but switched to BWV 1BR at 7 months. DH likes to be close to Epcot for Food & Wine Festival. However, we are waitlisted for a studio at either BWV or BCV (trying to save a few points.) DH didn't want to waitlist day by day (he hates switching resorts), so I say our chances are slim of getting the entire time (Thurs-Mon). We are staying at OKW before the cruise...never been there before!

ETA: Of course, I won't MIND if we get "stuck" in the 1BR with the washer/dryer! :rolleyes1

I can't believe we didn't run into you either. We ran into the ohio family alot too and took several boats trips with them!

It's funny because I mentioned something to Bruce about you and John last night, and he says, you'll have to refresh my memory who they are. So I say remember that day at MGM when this crazy lady was yelling from behind us at Lights, Motors, Action about my green shoes. He goes---oh yea, I remember her. :lmao: See--you left an impression!! :lmao:

Oh, I don't know. I called the first day I could to be waitlist at BCV 7 months out. I got my rooms within weeks, 26-29 Oct, Studio. Hang in there, I bet it comes through.

I'll be there! We have a studio, so you'll find us in the laundry room for sure!! And this year, it will be me. Last year, Bruce did me a "favor" an put the clothes in the washer while I took Emma down to the water to watch the Water Pageant. I came back to a load of colors and a load of pinks! :faint: Apparently one of the girls red shirts as small as it was managed to bleed all over the whites, including his new SSMC05 shirt. :sad2:

Mary, we'll be at OKW Saturday night as well. We only stayed there once for 1 night. We were down there, Walker was sick and not ready to make the ride home. It was the only DVC resort we could get into on short notice so we stayed for just the one night.

But, I did learn from my mistake last year, and I made sure to get a 1BR to have the washer/dryer after the cruise.

Ouch! I didn't even think about that. Hmmmmm, I wonder.

Stephanie - come out and post more often!

Okie dokie. :teeth: The thing is, we're still waiting for a green light from DH's boss on the cruise. The drop dead date is early August, so I'm trying to nudge DH along. His boss in a 2-Star General and he's not really into "nudging" him along. So, until I know for sure that we're going, I don't want to get my hopes up. That's why I haven't put the cruise thingie in my sig block--don't want to jinx it. And, we're also getting ready to move.

Do you guys think we'll get the schedule of events before we have to make ressies? That would be nice.

Non-cruise related but I want to share something that happened in our house yesterday.

I was making the rest of lunch - veggies in the microwave. The kids were sitting at my kitchen table already working on most of their lunch. I took the veggies out of the microwave, walked over to my stove and proceeded to drop the glass bowl. Walker, who was sitting probably 10' from when I was standing, stands up and starts walking towards the bathroom. I'm saying, sit down, there's glass on the floor, when Walker tells me that he's been cut. Sure enough, a larger piece of glass flew across the floor and sliced into his leg.

We got the bleeding to stop but I didn't realize until much later just how deep the cut actually was. Gary & I butterfly stitched it last night and this morning, it's dry and clean, just in need of a new bandages once Walker gets out of the shower.

Freak accident, yes. I've always had it a rule that the kids are not allowed to be walking in the kitchen while I'm cooking. I think I'm going to take it one step farther and now not do any type of cooking while the kids are sitting at the table.

I had no idea just how far broken glass can travel. :guilty:

Awww Cindy - :grouphug: to you and Walker! What a scary thing to happen. Glad to hear you were able to take care of it.

Amy, do they have Twisted Tea in Florida? If I was driving, I would be more than happy to bring enough to share, but I had a hard enough time keeping my luggage under SW's weight last time, could you imagine if I brought enough tea for my all my friends? :lmao: And I really have to get Cindy to try some, she'll be hooked for sure!!

Actually, I've recently tried a new variety they're offering called Half N Half. It's half tea/half lemonade, kind of like Earl's lemonade, my ultimate favorite beverage in the world, with a little kick! Boy am I thirsty!! :drinking1

Busy day today, I'm off to the gym, then I have to get all the info and stuff ready for my NYC trip tomorrow while the girls nap. If it stays warm today (it's been high 40s low 50s) we're going to go to our town's Memorial Day parade tonight, but I need to be home by 9 to watch the season finale of LOST! Then I'll be up at 4:30am tomorrow to get ready for my big TV appearance!! :cool1: I hope I meet someone famous!! I bet I'll have some pics to post too!

Sure hope Walker heals quickly. Yikes, that's odd how far it traveled and was still able to cut him - definitely a freak accident. Glad he's ok! I'm sure he will be showing off his battle scar at school today :)

Cindy, that's is truly a freak accident. I'm glad he's ok though.

Count me in on the laundry party at BCV. We have a studio this time to save points and I really didn't think about washing.

Cindy that was quite a freak accident. I think your new rule should be no cooking. I would love to have that rule.

Happy Birthday to everyone that I missed. Hope you had a great day.

Mark and Mary that had to be such a great surprise. You have a great boss. I think I need to find another job.

I think I am now caught up with everything. Supposed to be warm today finally. :sunny:

Quoted from #1Mouse
I found out that I needed to learn how to apply sunscreen properly when we were on Labadee (stop on our RCL cruise). After being on the beach all day I noticed that I had white finger marks where I attempted to put sunscreen on - the rest looked like a lobster. Maybe I should get that spray on kind!

Funny you should mention that Gail - you should see the weird sunburn I have on my chest - best I can figure is that my top shifted(?) some when I was snorkeling cuz I have the weirdest lop-sided tan-lines from when we were on Castaway! Of course, I did forget to put more tanning lotion on when we headed over to Serenity Bay and it is quite funny. :rotfl2:

Good Morning Everyone! :sunny:
I'm still in Florida and enjoying my last day at OKW! Had a great day yesterday - went over to MGM and almost got into the hot seat on the fastest finger - I was a very close second - that's never happened before!
Did some shopping and enjoyed lunch at Bongo's and then went over to EPCOT to enjoy the Rascals - brings back memories! And then went for a late night swim to relax.
It's my last day here and I will be heading over to the Member Update today and see if I can find out anything for us. Going to make this another relaxing day.

My cruise with Karen was "interesting" in the way that we had a really great time hanging out and even finding that we think alike sometimes. I was so relaxed and smiling :) all the time that I know we will have fun on the Member Cruise together. We even had a great time joking around with the DVC sales desk person onboard.
Karen - I am going to say "thank you" one more time - that was such a great opportunity to do something spontaneous and have so much fun too! :yay:
