2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006 Part 2

I think that my dream Disney vacation would be a tour of Disney all over the world. I'd like to see all the different parks, and then a back to back DCL Eastern/Western followed by HH and Vero.

Dream disney vacation - wow, that's hard! I think I would start a stay at the Grand Floridian in a Honeymoon Suite (it's a turret room with a MK castle view) for 4 - 5 days, then take a Disney Cruise in the Walt Suite and then back to Disney for a stay in a 1 bedroom DVC resort.

How about a GTKYFKK  question???

Not having to be concerned with cost and time off of work, what would be your dream Disney vacation? Where to? For how long? Where would you stay? What would you do?

No doubt about it, either the reposition cruise in the Walt or Roy Disney suites or barring that, two 7-day back to back cruises.

WOW--I started typing this at 7:30 this morning, then Julia woke up and the phone rang and woke Emma up and then the phone rang again, and again---we were out the door by 9 and I never even hit send! :rotfl2:

I'd like to do an Around the World of Disney vacation! :cool1: I'd start off with a week at AKL is the Royal Asante Suite. The one that Samantha Brown visited on the Travel Channel special. Then I'd head over to Port Canaveral and board the Magic for the Transatlantic Med Cruise. Then I'd hop a train to DL Paris and spend a few days there before flying off to Japan for a week at Tokyo Disney and then head over to HK to see HK Disneyland for a week. Then on the flight back, we'll just have to stop at DL in CA for a few more days before heading home.

Then, Emily has her big dance recital tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait, because I'm sure that it's going to be adorable!!!
Wow, does that bring back memories! Dana, who was with us for dinner at WC, began dancing when she was 4, and kept it up until she graduated. It got tiring driving her to dance lessons, sometimes three times a week, but looking back on it, I realize that we are closer because of all that time spent together in the van.

Enjoy your time at the dance recital tomorrow. I know that Emily will be adorable! ::yes::

Yea.....good old Dan---here's a tip for ya, quit complaining, you'll get more tips!!

Our DCL driver on the way to the port gave his spiel about tips but he told us that he was donating all of his tips for that week to Hurricane Katrina victims, this was just a few days after it hit. Every single person on our bus gave him money. :thumbsup2

Mary, I totally understand what you are saying. When I drive Cameron someplace (usually baseball) or Walker someplace (usually soccer) it seems like it forces us to communicate better than we do at home. At home, I'll ask how school was and get "good". While driving someplace, I'll get much more information than that with even the same question.

Thanks for pointing out that they are truly special times. As frazzled as parents can be sometimes, it's nice to be reminded just how special our children truly are. ::yes::

I also know that Emily will be precious tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing her picture in her cute dance outfit!

Diana, correct me if I'm wrong, but our Dan didn't say much of anything the entire time. Maybe that's because he was much too busy talking on his cell phone and couldn't bother with the rest of us. We never even heard from Dan that he didn't like a clean bus -- it came from a lady at the port.

He did give his tip spiel a couple of times, I think it was before the stops at the resort---ya see, you were at the first stop. I was at the 7th. :faint: I just remember thinking, OMG after the "clean bus thing" and the cell phone talking and the 9 hour tour of FL, this dude wants a tip?? :rotfl2: (We did give him a tip, but only cause we made it to WL ALIVE!! :rotfl2: )

I tipped him too but it was because we got off the bus without Walker getting sick! :rolleyes1 Seriously, he did help me with my luggage and I didn't have Gary with me. In fact, he even had to hunt down my last bag as it got stranded from the others.

So sorry I missed the spiel. 7 hours -- I'm very thankful that we were the first stop or your 7 hours would have been even longer. :sad2: But, the reaction of Dan if Walker had gotten sick would have been priceless. :teeth:

That's for sure! Because if Walker had gotten sick that close to me, I would have gotten sick too. :crazy2:

I'm off to meet Stacy for some shopping and dinner. I'll probably be back to make an appearance in chat though! :wave2:

Whew!!! I have pulled myself out from the piles of clothes from Emily and Madison's rooms that don't fit them. YIKES, I can't believe that we have SO much stuff. I completely took all the drawers out of Madison's room and dumped them on my dining room floor. Then, I unloaded her closet onto the floor too. I have now sorted it all into stuff that fits her now for summer, and Emily's old stuff, then all the piles of stuff that is too small for Maddie by season.

I'm hoping to get all the summer clothes that are 0-18 months up on eBay within the next week or so. I just need to divide them into different lots of items and get rid of them. Most of them are either Baby Gap, Old Navy or Gymboree, so I hope that they sell ok. Oh, and of course, I have some Disney stuff in there too.

Well, now I'm going to start putting the clothes that fit back into Madison's dresser drawers and her closet.

I'm hoping to get to chat tonight. I have to pick Emily up between 8:30-9pm, so I should be back in time to chat.

Late Breaking news!

I just received an email from Sue Ellen @ Dreams and she said tickets for MNSSHP and MVMCP were ready for purchase TODAY!!!!!! :woohoo:

I just called 407-WDISNEY and purchased our MNSSHP tickets for October 26th. We are now officially ready for vacation!!!!!!! How many more weeks Mary? :guilty:
