Oh Julie - I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I sure hope that he's back to normal VERY soon.

Have fun this weekend, sounds like a blast!!

Julie - Here's hoping that your Dad recovers quickly! pixiedust:

And while we're on this topic:
Curt's Mom was admitted into the hospital yesterday with fluid around her heart. It's not too bad yet, but she's had a number of heart problems before, so they want to catch it before it gets bad.

We do plan to go, however, my dad has been hospitalized since Tuesday and it seems he'll be there till Sunday. He had a test/biopsy on Monday and it seems 5% of the people who have that test develop an infection - he's one of the lucky 5%. The results of his blood workup will be back tonight, tomorrow they start agressively treating the infection and then Sunday he goes home with major meds for 2 - 3 weeks. Mom flew to FLA to pick up Grandma for her trip home (snowbird) on Tuesday while he was in the ER (she didn't know) and she returns today. It's so hard to live far away!

Julie, I hope her Dad gets better quickly. pixiedust:

I still remember my HS graduation. The ceremony was always held outside on the football field, with the gym as a back up in case of rain. The night of my graduation, at the last minute, they moved the ceremony into the gym because rain was being forecast. There was no AC in the gym, and everyone was burning up, especially those of us sitting on the gym floor in our caps and gowns! When we walked out of the gym, you could see stars in the sky and there was no rain in sight! :confused3

Fast forward 20 years to my DD's graduation from the same school. The gym is now air conditioned, and all graduation ceremonies are held there, rain or shine.

That's pretty much what happened to me. My graduation was scheduled to be outside on a terrace on the grounds of my school. We were all lined up ready to, the parents/families were all sitting outside and then all of a sudden someone must have felt one drop of rain and the whole ceremony was delayed while they moved into the gym. It never rained. It probably drizzled at most. All I remember is how intensely hot it was in that gym. And we were required to wear dresses with pantyhose under our caps and gowns so we were miserable.

Just a quick update on what's up in our world

We are scheduled to head out of town this weekend to Vegas for a work party. While there we get to attend the Sting concert and go to a private party where Kid Rock is going to DJ - I'm excited.

OMG!! I LOVE Kid Rock!! OK, I probably shouldn't have admitted that on a public forum. :lmao: I'll keep my other bizzare music loves to myself from hereonin.

Prayers and pixie dust to your dad! :wizard:

A woman that works for one of John's clients was admitted to the hospital for the same thing. Curt's mom's name doesn't happen to begin with a "B" does it????

Thanks Gail, Amy, Karen, Cindy, Diana and Mary! We're getting better reports now and he's back to being crabby so that's good (LOL)

Karen - Pixie Dust to Curt's mom!

I know, it's just a little freaky. Sometimes when Diana says something, I think that I should just respond, "oh my gosh, that happened to me too", because that's almost always how it is. :rotfl2:

Ok I want to be Julie. She just gets back from one trip and oh now we are off the Vegas for a "Work Party" what the heck is that? :confused3 A work party to me is everyone bring in a dish to share at the office , no jetting off to Vegas! Oh and to boot you are going to see a Sting concert and then party with Kid Rock ( ). I think I did something wrong in life because I don't get to do anything like that! :lmao:

About your Dad, sorry to hear he is not feeling well, Prayers and Pixie Dust. :wizard:

I was just counting the people without assuming extende family, since I don't have the privilege of knowing all of you as well as you guys that traveled together on the previous cruises. I guess if I wasn't so lazy, I could check Mark's site to reconcile the people I wasn't counting.
