I have a short GTKYFKK question. Thinking about Stacy's birthday today, I'm curious.

Do you look at your own birthday as:
A. Just another day. I prefer not to do anything special. I'd skip it but don't like the alternative.
B. I'm definately celebrating my special day!
C. Birthday nothing -- I'm partying every day of this month!

I'm C

I celebrate my birthday month (June)
I celebrate my birthday week (that's the 7 days before and the 7 days after :teeth: )
I celebrate my birthday day

Let the parties begin!

Well I would put B

You forgot D. The biggest Christian holiday in the world, so my day often gets overlooked by most people now that I'm older.

and that's a good one cause well Turkey day doesn't trump that at all.

I enjoyed Carrabba's when Diana & I had our mini-meet with Karen.
The closest Red Lobster is not so good in my opinion, Our Outback is a little pricey and nothing special (especially with the tons of other choices we have around here, ask Diana she'll vouch for me that there ar a ton of option within 2 miles of my house)
I love Olive Gardens Zuppa Toscana..yummy!
Well, against my better judgement, I went with what Emily wanted, and we went to Red Lobster. I make better seafood than they do. Boy, do I wish that I would have gone with my thoughts and gone to Carrabba's or Olive Garden. Oh well, lesson learned!!!

I would say B - we usually celebrate by at least going out to dinner. Chris celebrates his at WDW every year.

 :yay: :bounce: :woohoo: :dancer: party:

I'm already branded so I may as well go for the shameless post count inflation......
Congrats, Curt!!

And, you should be proud of your 100 posts. My DH (dvcChrisVWL) created a thread over on the Congrats/Birthday board congratulating himself on his 100 posts!!!

See, your bday only actually falls on Turkey day once in a while, mine is on Christmas Day every year, at least for the past thirty something years.

This is a little bit of odd trivia---my ex-h's bday was on Christmas Eve. How weird is that? Well, he was pretty weird, but we won't go there!

Ok, I'm finally caught up. Chris will be leaving soon to mail off our IRS check!! Darn that IRS for taking my money!!!

I've been trying to get a little more organized around my house, so I've spent this evening organizing my scrapbook space. I only made a small dent, but every little bit helps.

D. Half of the month before and all of December...Birthday is Dec. 2nd. So I always start around Thanksgiving and continue til New Years Eve.

When we meet up I'll flaunt my CUBS warm up jacket. Hey, I'm from Chicago and I have a tendancy to vote twice, so one AL Team (Tigers) and one NL Team (Cubs).

:stir:
:cheer2: :cheer2: GO CUBBIES!!!! They are going to win the WS this year!

DH and I got married the day after your B-day. LOVE it for an Anniversary because I am always off work, we always go out to dinner, DH can't say he doesn't remember what day his Anniversary is and if he did forget he can get my Anniversary gift @ half price! :lmao:

I will answer D to the Birthday question. I am content with a Happy Birthday. No big hoopla. However this year we went to DL and I LOVED it!!! Just made reservtions to celebrate DH's B-day in DL too! :thumbsup2

Oh, I'm with you on that one, Tina!!! This is one girl that will ALWAYS be a Cubs fan!!!

Plus, it's hard to get excited about a team that plays in a dome and has an identity crisis down here.

I will say D Celebrate with close family but the big one 5 and 10 years we have a big celebration!

My anniversary is the opposite. We were married on December 19th, so we pretty much never exchange gifts. But, that's ok, we usually end up doing something special like a night out, and a few times we went on a little weekend away. I'm trying to convince him to go on a DCL cruise in 2008 for our 10th anniversary.

That's why we booked the Christmas Cruise for 2007 (20th Anniversary) :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone! We don't do gifts for each very often any more. Instead our gifts are the trips we take. The Member Cruise will be our anniversary present since our anniversary is the Friday after we get off the ship (the 27th). The rest of the year if we see something we would like and can afford it we buy it. No waiting for presents.

Good Morning!
I want to thank everyone for the Birthday Wishes Yesterday!!!

I know what you mean Mary. Jeff & I are the same way. No hassles about wondering "is that a good choice, will it fit,...."
You know the recipient is getting what they want!

My personal answer would be an "A" but the kids like to celebrate so I concede to doing a little bit of celebrating. We usually go out to dinner or Gary will bring home a cake. Walker loves to have birthday candles so we light and relight those several times.

I'm very different than Gary who looks forward to having fireworks every year on his birthday. We usually have a BBQ or go to a BBQ and end the night with a bang -- of fireworks that is ;) . Born on the 4th of July!!
