And the only thing worse than a child with a banged up head is two children with banged up heads. When my twins were little, they were chasing each other around this "circle" that we have in our house. One of them changed directions and they met between the living and dining rooms and banged into each other! They BOTH had these enormous goose eggs on their foreheads! They looked awful for a little while, but were soon back to normal.

I'm also glad that your daughter is okay and the stay in the ER was short for your benefit.

Mary's story reminds me of the reason why I claim parents should not have more children than there are hands to deal with them :) We also had two children bump into each other, causing one to have a bloody nose. Problem was I was downstairs on the computer and my wife was changing our youngest's diaper. I ran upstairs to deal with the bloody nose. My middle daughter who now realized nobody was paying attention to her, starts walking around the house with a dramatic (Back of hand to forehead), "my head hurts".

I guess I better quit my job. :rotfl2:

I just took 7 of them to McDonald's playland. Although they are not all mine, we were very well controled. I think that's the key -- they are not all mine. It's Walker (my own) who gives me the trouble usually -- actually he's getting a bit older and thankfully growing out of that.

Your story reminds me of one of my daycare just a couple weeks back. One of the 4 year olds pushed one of the 1 year olds down on the floor. Guess he was in her way or something. Naturally, I had my back turned to them, so I asked what happened. My son, who wasn't involved fortunately, said, she pushed him like this and tossed himself down on the floor pretending to bump his head on the carpet. So, I'm holding the little one who's crying and hurt and the other 1 year old looks at me, looks at the crying child, looks at the floor and tosses herself down (just like Walker did) and gave me that pretend cry. OMG, dramatic queen at her finest! :rotfl:

I just love the funny things kids think of to do. Another situation when it's not always funny at the time, but hysterical later. :rotfl2:

You guys aren't going to believe this?!?!?!?!? Guess what we're doing for Valentine's Day?????

We're going on a 4-night Disney Cruise!!!!!

I had finally got around to cancelling our 2 rooms on the 11-night cruise on Monday, and the FL resident rates came out for Jan/Feb. There was a 4-night on 2/12 for $1411. Our deposit on the 11-night was $1400. We decided to see if they had actually cancelled it yet, and they hadn't. So, we're booked!!!!

It's good to know you'll be there. Last cruise, we had the added benefit of a DIS pediatrician. This time, it's just you (so far). And, we'll have Curtdennis for crowd control as he's a police officer. :cool1:

Have fun on your upcoming cruise!! :cheer2:

Cindy's right, at least we know a paramedic! It would be nice to have a DIS pediatrian onboard again too.

Wow Amy! That's awesome!! :cheer2:

Happy Birthday Deena!

Diana - so glad to know Julia's alright and back on the mend. I think God invented bangs for those of us who are a bit more prone to bumping - glad she has them!

Cindy - 7 kids at the McDonalds at one time? OMG

Amy - that sounds awesome! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Squid - you are going to be busy watching everyone at once on the ship!

Janet - how was the holiday tour? Did you enjoy your seats for the parade? We loved the light/music show they did on IASW at night!

The Tour Was Exceptional! It definately was worth it just to get onto HM and IASW! The seats were right outside of IASW on the opposite side. We were at the end of the Parade Route!

The treat was Hot Chocolate in a Souvie Mug and a giant star shaped Rice Krispie Square!

Unfortunately, the kids we had with us got hungry halfway thru the tour and being the Mom that I am, gave up a "potty break" to try to get them some kids' meals! Thank goodness the meals come in those lunch boxes or they would have been all over the place! :rotfl: :rotfl:

The Parade was running late that night so we got to see the Light/Music Show a few times! I wish WDW would do something similar!

During the parade, Genie stopped his car and got out to say "Hello" to us! He also made sure we had our own snow fall! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Highly recommend the tour expecially when it so crowded!

No, we're taking the girls too! We don't have anyone to watch them, so they pretty much go everywhere with us. My mom is close by, but she works, so she can't watch them. And, my MIL is relatively close, but she has MS, so can't drive, etc. So, that doesn't work either. But, that's ok, I'm sure that we'll have a few moments alone on the ship, since Emily loves the club and Madison adapts just about anywhere, and she liked Flounders.

My only problem now is that we've never been on a regular 4-night, only the member cruise. And, since it's so last minute, I've done no research. We have been the Nassau before, when my best friend got married and we took Emily to The Dig at Atlantis when she was around Madison's age. We might do that, or just stay on the ship and enjoy.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!

My best friend took me to lunch and it was yummy! Going to disney next weekend for a quick birthday trip with another Jan birthday girl! So we are looking forward.

I love the GC! It's not DVC but .........

I did request a fridge for our stay and there was no charge for it. Brought my own coffee and filters.

They have laundry facilities on the second floor but you have to access them thru the elevators next to Napa Rose. Wash is $1.00, Dry is $0.50. I brought my own detergent but I think it was $1.00 also.

The weather not as predicted but I found it very damp and bone chilling! My back started hurting again. Dress in layers. When the sun did come out it was lovely! But at night, especially when I got soaked on Splash Mtn, Freezing!LOL

Get to the park early. Grab your fastpasses and most of all ENJOY!

:wizard: That the crowds have dimished by the time that you get there!

Also, make sure you check out HM as this is the last year for the Overlay! Very Impressive! As well as the IASW! WOW! That is if they are still up and running.

janet

I think I might call MS tomorrow to request a refrigerator that would be nice!

DD and I stayed on points in November @ DLH and the rooms already had a refrigerator. We kept drinks and leftovers in there. It was handy.

We LOVE HM decorated! We will get to ride that again while it is still decorated, but IASW will be down for the tear down.

Did you ride the New Monsters, INC. ride at CA? I hope it is running while we are there. Seems they are doing soft opening for it right now.

We do have the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet Booked, a night @ Napa Rose while DD spends the evening in Pinocchio's Workshop. We are eating with Lilo and Stitch (again) and Blue Bayou (my favorite). DH gave me $200 Disney Dollars to spend while we are there. :cheer2:

Did you think the fireworks were spectacular? I gotta see them again!

Hopefully, we won't need to do any laundry. Thanks for letting me know the location and prices.

Anything else I should know about the GCH? We have never stayed there before.
