I have no clue what the "Cast Portal" is, but man it sounds like a cool thing to have access to! Thanks so much for the info.

Did the portal state whether these packages would become available on August 15th?

The Cast Portal is Disney's Intranet and you must be an active CM to have access. The section I looked at did not state when the packages were going to go on sale.

woohoo!!!!! We are getting closer. Thanks for posting this information. TOO COOL!!! Can't wait to reserve.....

:cool1:

Wonder why they are doing all dining before the show? Last time, we went to the 6:45 show and had dinner at 8. Now granted, it was a bit of a mad house with everyone coming straight from the show to check in at the same time .. and the show got out late ..

humm .. did I just answer my own question??! ;)

But anyway ...I would much rather dine afterwards and I do like having the package. I hope they decided to change this.

My guess is because the restaurants are slow in the afternoon, this way they can fill the restaurants in the afternoon with package guests and at night with people who didn't buy the package.

I agree with why they are doing it. And, for some, the lower lunch price can be attractive too.

I don't see how I will see the tree lighting though, but if service is good perhaps we will. I guess I won't count on that though.

At the restaurants that are not usually fixed price, are there limited menus for those on the CP package?

Thanks.

Thanks.

In the past, they have excluded lobster at restaurants that serve it. The pricing pretty much covers the most expensive item on the menu. I've priced dinner at LeCellier in the past vs the $45 package and it comes out about even if the entree is in the $20-$25 range (then add a salad, dessert, tax, tip).

Actually all dining is PRIOR to the show.

THank you CF for posting this for us :thumbsup2 .

Funny, we always dine after the show, but when I made out ADRs a few weeks back we made our dinner reservations for LeCellier at 6:30, planning on seeing the show afterwards. Who knew I would do something right for a change?? :confused3

So, if our dinner is at 6:30, what do you think our chances of seeing the 8:15 show is??

I read on another thread they are doing all dining before the show because Disney is having you pick up your badges for CP seating at the restaurant this year.

If your talking about doing just a regular ADR at Le Cellier and not the Candlelight Processional package then you will have to line up for the show mighty early to get seats. If your talking about doing the Candlelight Processional dining package your Le Cellier ADR is obselete and you would have to make a new ADR under the CPDP and cancel the other Le Cellier ADR. With the package you won't have to line up as early. They will not convert a regular ADR to the CPDP ADR.

No, I was talking about the CP package. I thought that they would convert it to CP when I called to book it.

Hmmmmm, looks like I will be on the phone the day those CP packages come out! :thumbsup2

They will not convert your reservation, you will need to book the package when they become available.
