2006 AAA and WDW Offers

I was told by both a WDW Employee and an AAA TA that for 2006 they are teaming up for additional enhancements. Does anybody have any information on what they might be?

As long as there are rates available yes you can.

A newbie here, just trying to learn (and question).

1. Why have those who have booked via AAA rate not also done Dining Package and/or Theme Park Ticket Packages?

2. For those still planning, why not book now, if money is refundable??

In my case, I have an AP so I don't need tickets and can't add dinning to room only reservation.

To answer your 2nd question, many people do book way ahead of time and if nothing better comes out then they atleast have the AAA discount, and if something better does come out and things can be changed around.

I do book the best refundable rate I can get far in advance, then cancel and re-book when (if) something better comes along. I've got POR at the AAA rate for March but hope to get S/D at the Teacher's rate later. As for packages, I always seem to do better assembling my own trips. Packages never made financial sense to me. We grab our meals as we go and get our park passes from 'net vendors for less than Disney's own rates.

I agree with the early booking, that is why I did it.

Regarding dining and/or ticket discounts, I couldn't get them with WDW directly. Once I went for the AAA discount for the room, they said no Dining plan was allowed. I was going to get the tickets through AAA anyway.

However, when booking with AAA, I did get the room discount, plus I was able to get the Dining plan plus the AAA ticket discount, plus the other AAA benefits.

This is my first trip to WDW. Am I incorrect or missing anything?

No that's correct. You can get room only discount through disney reservation, but if you want to do tickets and dinning and AAA room discount, then you need to go directly through AAA like you did.

i booked in march and joined AAA in june.
booked with the AAA rate from the beginning. when asked what my AAA number was i told them i was in the process of obtaining it.

i was told to call with the AAA number no less than 30 days from the start of my trip

Just to keep this post alive from the OP is this some kind of code that AAA is thinking about offering? I am booked through AAA for a package with tickets and dining fro March 2006 and I did get a little bit of discount on the room it sure would be nice to get some extra discount. I know that there is talk about a code being released for 2006 dates November 3rd, is this the code you were talking about or is this something completely different? If you here anything else I sure would like to hear about it..thank you

This may be a dumb question, but what exactly is AAA? Is it the traveler's club? How do you join exactly
