A little after 0600 here and -3, with a dusting 2-3 " of new snow.

Great info flowing from you folks on the 10 day. Thanks Much.

Lucky to get a couple of days off, before Christmas, Lynn and I even have one day off together, today. She has to work off and on this weekend. I am on call so we will see if people are naughty (I work) or nice (I don't work).

So with that in mind I wish you all the best this Holiday Season can bring. Have a Merry Christmas.

Well, this is my last day of work, then I have off until Jan. 3! I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday! My hubby bought himself a Christmas present...a motorcycle! I told him fine, but he has to go get a good life insurance policy :moped: :moped: :moped: Be careful everyone!!!

Scott, We know the feeling, dh, Wes ( a surgeon), is on call starting Monday through the New Year (til the following Monday). More than once has celebrated the New Year with a hand in somebody's belly or with someone who was naughty!

Won't jinx you so we will say nothing! :grouphug:
Best thing we can hope for at this point is World peace! Pray for our soldiers and a Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Christmas brings out the premature and sick babies. We've been slammed for 2 weeks now. I'm working tonite and tomorrow night but off for a week after that.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

To those that have to be working, thank you for your hard work for those that need you. For us that are fortunate enough not to be working, have a safe and happy holiday.

My wishes and dreams came true in a big way today. An approval of a petition I filed just came in the mail today, and could not have come at the most perfect time. Even though this is a very sad 1st Christmas without my Mom, this news that came in the mail today made what would have been an unhappy day, the best Christmas present I ever could have hoped for! :cloud9:

Merry Christmas Everyone

The cruise is going great. Lots of people are talking about the repo cruises but can't get on them. Had a great dinner at Palo tonight. The famous Jemma was the server. But you really can't go wrong with just about anyone.

We all got special lithographs tonight. Don (Ducky) Williams limited editions. Very nice. As you have already heard, he will also be on board for our cruise. They came with cards saying how great is was that we were on board for the Xmas cruise - yada, yada, yada. And it was signed by the Captain. However is was signed -- Thord Haugean (sp?) Captain, Disney Wonder. So someone didn't do very well in the editing. Very Funny.

Happy Holidays to all our 14 day friends. We look forward to cruising with you!

Ken

Hope all had a great Christmas, Lynn had to work all weekend, quiet for me. Still plenty cold here.
Had a great Christmas, I got Jimmy Buffett's new book, A Salty Piece Of Land. Finished it last night and enjoyed it very much, reminded me of many places I have been, and adventures to be had.

Ken, thanks for the updates they are great. Here is a question I posted elsewhere.

Given you are on the ship for 10 days do you find the activities equal (or should I say activity pace) to the 3,4, 7 day cruises or is there a little more down time. Down time translates into hammock, or deck 4 deck chair time to read or better put "sometimes I sits and thinks and sometimes I just sits."

Thanks again and enjoy Boxing Day.

Very nice peaceful Christmas here in Cheyenne. I picked up Jimmy Buffett's book twice in the past week and put it back. Guess I'll have to pick it up again and buy it! pirate: Have you listened to the CD? Just wondering what it is.

Did anyone watch the WDW Christmas Parade yesterday? It was a nice tease.

Happy after-Christmas sales and Happy New Year everyone! Kelli

...............

Sounds familiar. Lee also had to work. Too, she gave me the Buffett book, but have just started it. Sounds like it will be good. Song on the CD is o.k. I had heard it before on AOL. Clik Here to Listen(maybe)
Hey Scott, is there really a Heartache, WY?
Warmer today, but we got about 3 inches additional snow last night. 60's for new years. Can you believe it? Indiana weather!
Time to take Tippy out for a short walk.
:guilty: Back to work tomorrow :guilty:

Back from dog walk #1, and I am freezing cold, even though it is 14 above. Played with GPS, 3.72 miles at a speed of 3.4 MPH, with way too much additional info.

No such place as Heartache, WY, however there is a Poodle Ranch here in Jackson. Lots of folks like Thelma Barston. Wasn't always that way, guess I need to also find a salty piece of land.

Scott H. Great info .. Was just wondering what was your Average Elevation??
Thanks Peter ,,, That walk was just over one hour there are 3 dogs Right ?

I Got Soxs and under wear for Xmas Lol

Also a new winter jacket going Back To REI in morning to See if they have larger size I Also Need new Boots...

Watching the weather channel, would seem like you are getting slammed with snow Peter. New boots sound like a good plan! We have about 2 inches on the ground now, they aren't predicting too much more (I hope  )

I got an FSU "Mom" license plate and a portable DVD player for Christmas!

Robin

It's cold here too! It's in the 50's!!!!!

Yeah I know, ain't I a stinker? I grew up in NJ so I feel for ya'll....

Peter, average Alt. was 6157 ASL, that walk was with the two younger dog, our old matriarch moves much slower.

I also got the annual sock and under ware package from my mother, Kinda tradition, this year she even got the size correct. Good luck on your coat return and boot quest.

Jen, I am looking forward top the day when I think 50' is cold.

Hope you all in the NE don't get hit too hard with snow.

Off to the Salt Mines.

Peace out Peter

Oh yea nasty Cold Going Around sore throat and All...

Wow, I don't think I have posted here since the first couple of weeks since I booked. Just spent some time reading the thread and figure it's time to jump back in say Happy New Year and YEA HA!!! Let the real count down begin.

We have been not 100% sure if the trip is a go based on my son's school schedule. May happens to be prep for finals and the first part of the English finals. Both his and my daughters grades have been good so as NASA would say all systems are go at this point in our count down. I'm even thinking that maybe it's time to start doing some research on the ports of call and start to plan what to do .. and maybe buy :earboy2:

I don't have the time to read every post but has anybody put together any research on the ports? Last thing I found was a note the DCL was having audtions in NYC for enternainers for the 2005 cruises which I hope means some extra special shows for us.

Happy New Year

Most of the on board activities were the same as on the usual 7 day sailings, except that they expanded them somewhat. For example, we went to a Stem to Stern wine tasting on the first sea day, then they did the same tasting again on the second sea day. But on the third sea day, they had a different tasting with 9 wines instead of the usual 7. The Art of Entertaining series was also expanded from what I could tell. But to really answer your question - there were to many things to do on the third and last sea day. We wanted to do 4 or 5 things but could only make 2 because of conflicts. The wine tasting caused us to miss the galley tour and the afternoon Art of Entertaining presentation. So, for the 3 sea days of this cruise, I didn't notice any major downtime on the schedule. They had something going all the time. You just have to decide to make down time.

But the repo has lots more sea days then ever before, so I really think that all bets are off as far as activities. My guess is that they will schedule lots of stuff and you have to work around it. I did talk to the wine master and she said they were planning some new tasting for the repo.

I also heard that since Don (Ducky) Williams will be aboard for the repo, they will be giving out special lithographes again. If that's true, it will be a nice limited edition item. Let's hope it's true.

It's the last night - back to reality tomorrow. :guilty:
