Steve and Renae,
Which tour did you do with Captain Marvin? I can't find the times we are there.. do you have enough time to do the full day tour?? I'm kinda squimish about the stingray thing... esp since my encounter at CC the one time....:rotfl: Seems I'm always having "special moments" on excursions...LOL

Please tell me you've never been thrown off a stingray! :teeth:

I don't remember if it was a full day or not. We made three stops: The Coral Gardens, Stingray City, and the Barrier Reef. I think it took 3.5 - 4 hours. I remember having plenty of time afterward for wandering around town looking in all the shops (and stocking up on rum cake  ) but it wasn't quite enough time to take another excursion.

I was a little nervous beforehand too, especially after I learned that they won't let you wear fins, watersocks, or anything on your feet when at Stingray City. After seeing a couple stingrays with shoe print scars on their backs, I learned why. There was such a big contrast of the bright sand and their dark backs that stepping on them wasn't a worry.

I was also worried about their stingers touching me but after Captain Marvin grabbed one of them and ran his hand down it to show us it wouldn't harm us, we all became more comfortable.

I say do it!!!!! As another person who has bad luck with animals, if I can make it through safely, you should have no problem!

I'll email you some pictures tomorrow.

Hi
Havent posted in a while
we would possibly do the first Med cruise on around 26th May,if enough of our cruise buddies were on that one.

obviously no point us doing the repo as we are already in Europe.

Ashley and Karen

We are at wdw staying at OKW from feb 27th onwards for over a week anyone going to be there want to meet up.Either post here or send us a PM.we would love to see you.

Hi everyone,

I will throw our hat into the pile, both mom & I would love to do the repo over to the Med. I would bet that the repo being 14 nights would include a "mini" cruise in the med. We, like most of you need to wait and see what the $$$ will be.

We have a cruise on DCL in October with a super group of friends and I would not want to give that up. Also, I have made the decision to go back to school full time. We are selling our home and are planning on moving to the Orlando Fl. area ASAP for me to ge tsettled and hopefully start school in the fall. It will be a big change, we plan on renting for the 1st year or two, so if anyone knows some good home rental web sites for that are I would appreciate knowing.

Hi to everyone,
Bye, Kim

WOW KIM!!! :wave2: Changes are abounding in your life!!! We wish you well with this HUGE undertaking. :grouphug: A move to the Orlando area! :mickeyjum That is definitely the place to be. I'm sure you'll miss seeing the covered bridge and the wonderful landscape in your area. ::yes::

Best of everything to you. Keep us posted on your progress.

if anyone is thinking about getting back from europe to the us after the repo cruise, a number of low price carriers travel between spain and the uk. onward flights with both uk and usa airlines from london and manchester go on to various us airports..

look up easyjet, ryan air or jet2 as examples of the low price carriers.

london of course is the bucket shop capital for world air fares, there are numerous web sites to look at

as for liz and I we live in europe so the med is no big deal (sic) :surfweb:

We would quite like a cruise around the med,as believe it or not we have not been on vacation anywhere in Europe for nearly 10 years

Hi everyone. We just talked to our TA today and are trying to see if we can get on an 11 day later. No way can we do a repo cruise because of the schedule of Billy and Kristen. Kristen really isn't a problem, Billy is. We can't take them out of school. The repo cruises are during school. Therefore, 11 day if we can get one. For us, it would be the first cruise, 11 day , after June1. Anyone care to try and join us? I just don't see a reason to go all that way and not have the extra day.

I know what your Mom is saying...we were scheduled to go on a 7 night cruise in December (which I cancelled) but we thought why would we want to cruise without people we know!!! What's funny is that I think most of us only knew one another from our thread before our cruise and now we couldn't imagine going on a long cruise without everyone...it just wouldn't be the same.

I know just what you mean...I was thinking that bunking with someone who might like to share a BAV would be great and would, for me, avoid the 175% supplement... I don't think Cash would even consider cohabitating with a non-DIS stranger!!

Repo, then the Med?....eeeeeeK don't give me ideas...I might as well sell the house and stay at sea the rest of my days....but if I snag the Med-repo...Paris, or a Med-cruise is a fond thought...What a late b-day party! Cash could just forget seeing a tree again...
:dog:

Too bad about school interfering with life! :rolleyes1

No way I'd be on a transatlantic repo...all those days at sea would be better spent at Disneyland Paris...

thinking about whatever goes over the week that includes the 4th of July - gotta make use of those federal holidays. :teeth:

Summer time will be high season for DLP. We enjoy off season travelers, will get to DLP in Jan or Feb before Tanzania.

Catherine, we understand about using holidays to get the max out of Vac days.

Kim,

That's great, you're moving to great country! I'll have to check out some home rental papers to get websites for you. There's a published book for apartments, but I'm not sure for homes... Let me check out some stuff and get back to you. It'll be exciting to have you here!!!

Renae

Lynda,

Awwww. I was about to say that I'd share a room with Cash in a heartbeat, I (pretends to swoon) feel so regected!!!!! LOLLLL

Since my back is still giving me fits, I might try to get a handicapped room... we'll see!

Thanks for your help Renae, I will be very different but we are all pleased with the decision. Perhaps I will even get a part time job at WDW..

Of course he would share his BAV with a fellow Panama repo-er...There's surely enough room! Stop fainting.

Really sorry to hear about your back...that's a terrible part of the body to have to avoid over-using...I've got my bid in for stateroom 6154, which has a huge extra closet that I've used before as a parking garage for my scooter.....

Hi guys!

Just thought I would check in here! Been busy..... James has a new shift and assignment so we hardly ever see him. Thinking of Scott and Lynn for sure!

I'm producing the school play this year - The Little Laguna Mermaid! Thought it'd be better than directing. Can I just say :faint: that is NOT better! :sad2: Will be glad when March is over! :cheer2:

On a good note, Constantin, an assistant server from the Magic, has just moved to San Diego and taken a job at a hotel with his wife. So, we'll get to see him soon... which will be my "Magic" fix for a while...... ;)

Have a great Sunday everyone! :wave2:

Kendra

OMG..we had constantine when he was new, and we had a young girl at our table..lol, who would give him a hard time (flirting with him), he would get so embarrassed..lol. He didn't know how to take her. Took until almost the end of the cruise until he started teasing her back..cracked us up.

Hello everyone...we too are looking forward to the announcement of the next big cruise..can't wait!
