Hi Georgie

I'm sure we don't have nearly the snow that Scott has, but this is what we woke up to this morning....

Happy New Year to all of our friends!!

We have had a busy New Year's Eve...

Quincy princess: woke us up around 6:30am to tell us the lights were not working! No Electricity! Then to our surprise we found one of our rooms was flooded! Ugh! Two beautiful persian rugs...soaked through. Then the fun really began...looking for more leaks, flooding and general chaos! Quincy's new bamboo flooring was wet...our new carpet (only a little) was wet. So out we went to see our creek had now become a river...with the waterfall really pumping some water over it. If only we could harness that energy to run the heaters! Michael and I were able to dig out some of the areas around the house that had caused the flooding inside. Quincy came out after our portable DVD player ran out of battery. She decided to try out the ATV :moped: she received for Christmas...kind of tough on the slippery grass and me worried about her being washed away in the river...I mean creek! :teeth:

When Michael attempted to go to home depot for a generator, he found the roads flooded over so he came back home to help me clean out the culvert pipes under one of the bridges. What did we find???? Come on...guess!
Okay...we found a tire wedged in there! Unbelievable! Our driveway is now covered with silt, stones, rocks and big holes have been eroded by the water flow. I still can't believe it! :rolleyes1 :umbrella: For now, we have sunshine and dry skies...my fingers are crossed for this to continue! Oh, and the electricity is back! Yippee!!

Unfortunately, we were supposed to leave for Scottsdale, Arizona tomorrow...but, it looks as though we will not be making that trip until Monday or Tuesday!

Happy New Years to everyone! :umbrella:

You know I Cant say I actually Saw that one Must have Been Either Sleeping or On the Pc. LOL

Good Morning.. :rotfl2:

We have gotten alot of new snow, but it is also fairly warm (35 degrees), so alot of that new snow melts. Because of the warmer weather, the roads are a mess, some are a sheet of ice. Not fun to be out in. Scott got called to Riverton today, normally a 3 hour drive, could be alot more in this weather, so I'm on my own this afternoon to walk "the hord" (dogs). He doesn't know if he will be coming home tonight or not. At least things are white again, instead of brown like they were at Christmas!

Hi everybody!

Well, the holidays are finally over at our house. Our last son and Eric's dad left this morning, and the house is really quiet! I'm going to miss them all so much! It was the first time we've had our whole family together in 5 years, and it was wonderful!!!! Now I get to clean up..... yuk! Oh well, it's worth it to have my whole brood under my roof!

So, who's going to be in town this month? Georgie, are you coming for that AP holder sneak preview? anyone coming for the marathon besides Celeste and Robb? We'd love to see you!

Thanks for sending the Magic horn for my phone. My son wasn't able to make it work, there was too much feedback from the speakers or something... anyone know how to overcome that?

ttfn,
Renae

Peter,

Have you ever been told to get the Pneumonia shot? I used to get bronchitis all the time and once I had the shot, I've only had it once in 5 years.... just a thought!

For all you poor freezing northerners, it was 84 yesterday.... It's going to get cold tomorrow though with a low of only 34 degrees! OUCH!
