On the main cruise board there is a post about Disney repositioing the Magic to the Medeteranian or Alaska for the 2007 Season. Sounds like the next assignment for this group.

I Have Read and Like The routes offfered..

I got the cold but Amy escaped it. It hit me the day after the cruise. I'm pretty much over it now. It wasn't too bad. A sore throat to start and some sneezing. A couple boxes of Kleenex and a box of DayQuil later I'm fine.

I'd love to see Disney go to Alaska. We cruised the Inside Passage from Vancouver in 2002 on Princess. No one used the pools on the Princess ship since they weren't covered. Even heated, it just didn't sound appealing to me to get into a bathing suit long enough to get to the pool. The hot tubs had some people in them though.

No kidding, it was the only cruise I've been on where they handed out blankets on deck instead of beach towels! :cold:

I'm guessing they would have to replace Tropical Night...maybe with Eskimo Night??? :rotfl:

I've heard that the Disney Ships are designed for an Alaskan Cruise. For example, I think the pools are not heated and there is obviously no enclosure for the upper decks. Who's going to use the pools when the water tempature is like 40 degrees :cold:

I was talking to one of the uniformed ship's officers about that very thing: Alaskan Cruises. He said that there would have to be a major refit to make the Magic ready for an Alaskan Cruise. He didn't seem to think it was likely for at least three years and certainly not before at least one, and preferrably two new cruiseliners were online.

I got the sniffles Wednesday or Thursday before leaving the ship. My cabin mate got it a few days later when we arrived at LA. It was short-lived for me. Just a scratchy throat, a few days of creeping crud, a mild headache and it was gone. Very mild, just took a couple of sudafeds (thanks, Beth) and I was fine. It did however dampen my appetite.

Well, hello Adrienne!!!!

Glad to see you on the boards finally.... how is the store doing with all the 50'th hoopla going on? I bet you're crazy busy, but that's a good thing, right? LOL!

A story about our TaxiCab home.
When we got to heathrow Airport, there was a message on the TAnnoy asking us to go to Airport information. As we got to near to the Desk, there was a guy holding up a nameboard ,with our names who said that he was our replacement Cab Driver, and our driver couldnt make it.
Anyway we got in his car and he took us home ,but didnt seem familiar with the area we lived in,and didnt seem as professional as we would expect and a bit of a mad driver .Didnt think too much about it but about half an hour later had a call from our original driver to say that ,he hadnt been able to make it and had sent a replacement driver to the Airport ,who had called him as he hadnt found us .What appears to have happened is that there is some kind of Scam in these circumstances ,and when a name is announced on the Tannoy there are freelance drivers who hastily write out a nameboard ,with the info from the Tannoy announcement and as they stand in front of the information desk, you dont bother to ask at the desk ,and they get the work.Asat london heathrow airport they are not ALLOWED TO SOLICIT FOR WORK.Interesting EhAt least we werent mugged or robbed
Ashley

That's awful. BUT GLAD you both arrived home safely. Isn't there something they can do about that??? Should be a sign posted somewhere, I would think.

I'm putting all of my photos up on Kodak Gallery (Ofoto). (Had some discounts I have to use up). If anyone wants to take a gander at them let me know and I'll send you the email. Have some great formal night shots of folks and I'll send those folks emails so they can pick them up if they want. I'm only up to Curacao and it's taken almost 2 hours to upload everything!

Ofoto is a great site - you can't go wrong with them - that is what we use also. thanks, Jenn

I only have 1200 pics from WDW-DCL-DLR to sort through. Have to decide what my DIS friends would like to see, and what my "other" friends would like to see.... they are VERY different :rotfl: :teeth:

That is my project for this weekend.

I wondered if I could skip that by you.....guess you woke up, huh? :goodvibes Actually, I'm trying to steer my nephew that direction for his graduation trip....I'd get to go someplace new and he's been talking about Canada......and if we had a great tour guide....

But, it's all up in the air right now, and since I took half of my vacation for this trip, a lot of things will have to wait til 2006. Now, if Disney would cooperate and do Alaska, that would take care of Keith's request!!!

I need to win the lottery so I can get more time off! I just don't have time to work!!!

I've got everything thru Curacao up. I didn't split them up, I just put them together by day. Panama is going to take awhile since we have 440 pics from that day. Up to Curacao was about 200. No idea about DL since Jeff hasn't uploaded those onto the laptop yet.

Hi to all my new friends! I got home about 2 1/2 hours ago, and am so sad :sad2: Back to rainy gloomy Connecticut.

A HUGE thank you to everyone for giving so much, and making this a trip of a lifetime (did someone say something about a reunion cruise? :teeth: ) Hey, I'm game for it. I currently have a May 2006 cruise booked, but that can always be switched to a different date :goodvibes

I had fun at Disneyland, and ran into some of my new friends, but overall the place was way too crowded to really enjoy it to the fullest.

I forgot to leave my comment card on the ship before I left, does anyone know if I can mail it after the fact? That final morning was an utter disaster, hopefully they fixed disembarkation for the remaining 7 day cruises out there.

I'll slowly be putting my pictures on the computer, maybe over the weekend between unpacking and laundry. Thanks to all who are sharing theirs, I'll post a link when I get it finished.

I MISS all of you already :cloud9: Let's stay in touch, and hopefully in the future we can all sail together again.

Robin

Here are the pictures, the albums are backwards and I can't seem to make them go the right way... so you start with the last day at sea before the canal http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=pmoue67.7az3hyqb&x=0&y=-oxdr5q

Jen!

Thanks for the pictures. I LOVED the ones for the lab. Now I wish we had dragged ourselves up to the fun! We were both so tired and conked out around 10-10:30 every night. Now, at least we can feel like we painted cels and made flubber with our friends! :flower: How good it feels to see everyone again!

Will you be leaving this link up for a while? Thanks!

Also, I tried to access jeff's original link to out sailing list... names, pictures so we could make one final copy. It wasn't working when I tried. Is that link now gone?

Thanks!
Georgie
