ImprovGal = Coming soon to an "at sea" day near you -- "Cruise Line Is It Anyway? (Improviseational Comedy)"
I know this will come as a complete surprise to everyone, but one of my interests is improv comedy. Since DCL took the improv out of Off-Beat, it's up to us to bring improv back to the Magic. So, I'll be "hosting" some improv games on one of the at sea days TBD. Anyone interested? No experience necessary. It's just for fun. Audience members needed.

I will make up the navigator (for everything we have scheduled prior to the cruise), print, bring, and deliver to everyone. I will also bring extras for the sailaway party(ies).
What has been done in the past is that the Navigator was posted, before we left on a website and then people could print out if they wanted.

Some folks are staying at 2 of the most stayed at resorts at the Port
Ron Jons and the Radisson, no official meets have been Set up as of yet but Look for folks all day around the pool area's also several others at the Airport hyatt and plans are in works.

Attire, = There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate(1)tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food = There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.

Entertainment = A new production show to be offered. Called " Twice Charmed ". Cinderella themed Stage Show.

Donald Ducky Williams, will be onboard and we will recieve 2 Lithographs
1 for going on the cruise and one for going thru the canal.
This has been said on other cruises by DDW .

Canal Party = All seas travel, is hosting a party in the Roy Suite the day of the Canal crossing . for its customers. You can do better than that..

So, how dressed up is everyone getting? My DH and I are going a little crazy, and, while I don't mind standing out in a crowd, I do wonder if we're going to be the most extreme. What's everyone else wearing?

We'll probably be middle of the road... definitely not over the top (I couldn't find a nice formal dress ) I did order DH several cumberbunds and a colorful vest along with some new button studs and cufflinks. I'll have a black skirt and beaded top (weighs a ton! )

We'll be doing pirate night, and Hawaiian shirts for tropical night.

Hmmm, maybe I should send down some things EARLY.

Kendra... are you shipping down the surprise car for your DH early too? What GREAT GIFT!!!

Just got the word... the FLOOD waters have receeded... it's back to work tomorrow!

Jeff and I are going all out for formal night, pirate night and what not...

Mom & I are going all out for formal & semi formal nights. Not overly for pirate night (couldn't find either a costume or pattern in plus size) and we have tropical wear (I bought a grass skirt...couldn't resist on sale for only $1.99....Mom said she wouldn't wear one - party pooper). Might have to dispose of the non-essential wear before we come home to make room for those souvenirs!!!!!!

All our snow from the weekend has melted away!!!!!!!!

Only 38 more days 'til we meet!!!!!!

Jeff and I couldn't find pirate costumes we liked so friends are making ours... the fabric was a bit much but we'll have these costumes forever... as for formal night Jeff will be in a tux and I'm bringing about 4 formal/semi formal gowns/ dresses plus about 5 or 6 other dresses (all but one are very packable)

I own a tuxedo with two different Mickey vests and ties, so we will be definately dressing up on Formal nights. For tropical, we have a huge collection of Mickey Reyn Spooner aloha shirts, so that is covered.

As for pirate night, we haven't really talked about it. They had it last time we cruised, and we only paid attention to the diner part. I don't think either of us realized how much was going on up on deck.

I went to Michael's and got a foam roller, a bead siphon tray and some paints, poured the paint into the tray and rolled it onto the foam roller, painted it onto the stamp and applied it to the bag.... Washes up with soap and water...reuse over and over...I also used the Mickey glove stamp to print white gloves on black scrapbook paper to make my own...That was the original idea until faced with five identical little black suitcases....

I'm so bummed.... never got my Chadwicks stuff... they cancelled my order without even telling me!! When I asked why.. they could not give me any answer. They said I was welcome to reorder.. yeah right.. now that all the good freebies are gone!!
Never got my Mickey Phones either. Motorola still has it "in process" ... I'm guessing they ran out and will not get them back. they can't give me a reason why either. No luck for me on the deals.

I love the idea of stamping the luggage. Mine is Mickey pants red and black... maybe I'll do black Mickey ears on the red parts. I have those stamps from Home Depot .... somewhere....

Just got back from Home Depo! What a doll DH is! Got the hand, the star and the Mickey head! The gal in the wall paper section (where the stamps were) was too funny. I told her a large group was going on a Disney cruise and were going to use the stamps for various things... like luggage identification, since mostly everyone has black luggage. She just turned to me and said, "Now why would you do that?"

I tried to explain further, but you could definitely see that she was NOT into Disney things at all.

DH and I laughed all the way home!

That's all for tonight... off to bed. After all I finally have to go to work tomorrow! How wonderful it was to have 2 days off. I never could have gotten everything done without these past 48 hours.

The joke will be on us when we go to find our luggage the morning of debarkation. We'll be looking for the black bags with the Mickey handprints and luggage tags!!! And, we'll be too tired to tell the difference! Too Funny! Lynda, at least you will have Cash to help your stuff. The rest of us will be on our own!​

Ah, well, All my personal bags that I'm painting are carry-ons...The huge checked bags belong to a neighbor friend and when I showed off my handiwork on the carry on bags his eyes got a little buggy... I think he'd rather have unpainted bags returned to him...

We get dressed up for formal nights; tuxedos and long dresses. I bought tuxedos for our boys this time instead of renting. www.tux4boys.com. They should be here any day. Last DCL cruise all the guys wore their tuxes for semi-formal night as well so they didn't have to pack jackets/ties. They may do that again, but I'm twisting a few arms to add the jackets back in. Semi-formal nights:dresses/dressy slack & blouses/long skirt.

We like to dress up.

I have ordered the black tux from the disneycruise formalwear a few weeks ago.Hope I got the size right and that UK sizes in inches the same as used in USA.

ALso joined scotts grass skirt fraternity.Seaulater kindly ordered a grass skirt for me.So I am all set.

DW meanwhile is panicing as she hasent got enough things to wear.I guess it is easy for us men.

Hi Everyone!

I'm back! We survived the school play and are slowly recuperating!

Getting ready for New Orleans next week (suggestions still welcome!) and buying my husband a NEW CAR for our anniversary (which we celebrate onboard the Magic!) It's a SECRET! Been doing all sorts of research and quotes on the sly! A 2006 Chrysler 300 Limited. It should arrive in a week or two. Can't wait to see the look on his face!

Friday is my sons birthday(20) and we are buying a new car Honda Jazz He is away at college most of the time where they are not allowed to have a car as they live in the college grounds(but he will be able to use it in the vacations)
I have asked the dealer to put happy birthday balloons on the car,so it will be a big surprise when we go to the dealer with him to collect it.We are going to take photos when we get there.
