Okay....all you pirate lover's here it is......

<div style="position:relative; border:1px #320 solid; background-color:#c9b390; padding:0 10px; width:400px; text-align:center; font-family:serif; left:50%; margin:25px 0 25px -200px; color:#320;">
<div>
My pirate name is:
</div>
<div style="font-size:32px;">
Captain Mary Flint
</div>
<img src="flag.gif" style="top:5px; position:relative; display:block; width:100px; background-color:#320;" />
<div style="left:110px; top:-60px; width:290px; position:relative; text-align: justify;">
Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

Just letting you know that we added the times for all of the excursions. :)

The excursions are on the Dreams website Jenkatt. Sorry, it was mentioned previously and I thought that everyone knew about it.

Yo, AZ, if it's not too much trouble could you take a look at where the Tropicana is (highwaywise) in relation to DL? I'm think I'm going to have to scooter over there from the DL Hotel Grand Californian towing my baggage cart behind and, although they say that it's next door they don't say in what context: crow flies, forced march? I located an aerial view and it looks like there's a huge honking freeway that separates the two.... I'll have to save my pennies for a cab...Will a cab go such a small distance?.....
I'll understand if you can't get around to it...Whether DL or WDW, the most important thing is PLAYTIME.....
:wizard:

Will definitely try and do a drive-by and report back.
I normally have DH drive and I do the directing... but it's a girls only trip this time, so we'll see how that goes.
They've changed the area around the resorts so much, I'm never sure exactly where I am anymore.

The pirate crew looks great!
I showed my 17 year year old DD and she said it was awesome and she thought it would be fun to dress up. :faint:
She's a huge Orlando Bloom/Johnny Depp Pirates movie fan, but I was still surprised that she would even consider dressing up.
So thanks for sharing Linda oops, I mean Grainne Goldheart! pirate:

Thank you Regina! Now I really have something to be busy with!

So, I found a babysitter for my babies. I'm flying out a friend from St. Louis to come stay at the house with the doggies. Lucky I found a good solution to that big problem!

Did I miss something? Is Jindy still on this voyage with us? I miss seeing her posts! And now that I'm out of 'lurkdom', I'm on the lookout for 8 year old girls! :cheer2:

Anyone have any info on the Seahorse Snorkel Adventure on C.Cay? Is this new? I'm wondering if it'd be better since you're going out somewhere?

Have a great night all!

Grainne O'Malley Goldheart,

Wow!! What a great picture! Thank you for sharing the picture and all the information. I would never have thought pirate night would be so big!

How did you make the costumes?

Laurie :wave:

The women Butterick Pattern #3906 (got the muslin for the dress at Joann's Fabric Store day after Thanksgiving 6 a.m. for 99 cents a yard.)

The men's Butterick Pattern #3556

and the kid's Butterick #6295. I changed the boys pants so they matched their dad's with the elastic in the bottom instead of the zig zag edge. and then I actually used a different pattern for the little boy's tops. I can get that number for you if you need it.

It wasn't too awful bad, I just kinda had an assembly line going while making them since I was making multiples.

If you want more info, just let me know.

I was thinking the same thing myself tonight. Jindy is missing out on all this planning. Does anyone know how to get in touch with her? I tried email and pm with no response. I am worried........

OK I replied to all my PMs to date for the Fantasmic seating...

Yes, go to one of the other websites and try your luck. I used three different sites because some of the names just weren't very appropriate for some of the young ones!

Is anyone talking about snorkelling in Curacao? I'm trying to find out info and see if it could be done on our own. The DCL one appears to be a one stop at the tugboat, and that's it.

Wondering if we could combine our heads and research and make this easier? I'm looking for the best snorkelling available...

On cruisecritic.com, I found some talk about Caracas Bay but can't find too much out about it.... Also some national preserve?

:confused3

I think you are a real pirate princess! I don't know why I've freaked out so much about that trip from one hotel to another after I'll have just traversed thousands of miles by ship (knots?) and not one little hair is out of place in the planning....

WOW! Great pirate group! I musta missed the whole thing... Gotta do better next time...

OK...the pirate picture rocks....how fun is that??!?!?!?! Love it!

Hi Lynda,

RE: the tropicana (inn and suites on Harbor Blvd.) from the grand californian...

I am pretty familiar with the area as I go frequently. The Tropicana is not technically next door to the Grand Californian...it is on the other side of disneyland.

If you are at the Grand Californian, then the quickest way to get there would be through the hotel, through the last 1/3 of downtown disney and through the plaza between Disneyland and California Adventure and then out the other side across Harbor Blvd (which is easy to get across). The problem with this is that you have to go through the security check gates to get across that central plaza area, so if you are bringing all your luggage - well, that could be a deal...

Otherwise, you would have to go around the Disneyland complex (which has decent sidewalks) to the other side of the complex to get there...not a huge huge long distance, but not next door...to go around you would take a left out of the GC entry drive on Disneyland Drive, left on Katella - a long city block down and the left again on Harbor and another 1/2-2/3 of a long city block down...these streets circle around the Disneyland complex (including GC, DCA, DL and Downtown Disney)

I hope that helps. I will also be there in a couple of weeks and will double check, but I am pretty sure that is what you will be up against if you are dropped at the GC. Let me know if you need any other specific info. I am a regular at DL and the GC and know the area pretty well.

If anyone else has DL questions, I am happy to help. We are going home first and then heading down to DL a few days after the memorial day weekend -
