I've got to do a trip report, get my Navigators out, and try to remember all that we did. Otherwise I will forget.

Ken, any chance of posting those pics on the web? I'd love to see them!

For some reason, Alicia took our DVD Cam to the Stack and taped Christy Romano's Q&A with the teens. When we get around to watching it, I'll let you all know if she mentions a tattoo. Alicia just said she was a little "fakey", hence the impression. But I know she spent lots of time signing autographs at the public sessions. It could be that Chris was the 10th person to approach her that day to talk. It would be really hard to be "on" all the time for 10 days, I think. I know that during the DIS brunch, members of her family were giving us the evil eye, but I think it was because we were so NOISY!

Ditto, Karen. There were magic moments around every corner when we ran into a DISer and got a friendly hello or a hug or two. :grouphug:

I could have let DCL know about many magical moments, but they wouldn't have had anything to do with DCL. Most of my magical moments were created by DIS boarders!! :)

Like when Mr. Scuba showed up at my door with a bottle of wine, ready to pour us glasses of wine to take to the show.

Or when we shared a bus with Mr. and Mrs. Mork on our Antigua island tour and chatted back and forth.

Or when Ken hung around the internet cafe trying to help me print something but the printer was spewing out hundreds of pages of information on watches.

Or when Mr. and Mrs. Scuba banged on the window of Lumiere's as I was walking by and motioned for me to come in and chat.

Or when I was presented with an autographed picture of some of the hunkiest DISboards I know!

Or when Virgil stopped by with a gift from he and Kevin...a small version of "Remodeling bathrooms for dummies"

Or when I found a card in my fish mail from Sue.

Or one under my door from Stacey.

Or one under my door from the Scubas.

Or whenever someone saw me on the last couple of days and wished me a happy birthday.

Or when Lynda stopped and chatted with me in the halls (I honestly thought she'd put her scooter in overdrive to get away from me!) ;)

Or when we found a bag of candy by our door from Leilani and family.

Or when Lauren (Virgil's dd) stopped by on Christmas day with gifts for the kids.

There's a ton more. I could go on and on!! :)

THANKS DISERS for the best cruise I've ever been on!!!

OR..............when Linda tagged us and was able to keep it a secret the whole time!!!

Oops, now you know!

Oh, we have to thank DCL............or we would have never been all together on the MAGIC

I printed out Mary's (thanks Mary) so when I actually get around to it, I'll be able to remember with Mary's help!

All those hugs from Jeanne for both DH and myself were certainly magical. Thank you, Sue, for introducing her to us. We both loved her. :love1:

Oh, I forgot....

How about when I was walking around Nelson's dockyard and I hear someone yell "IT'S OHIOMINNIE!!!" ;) It was the dive group on a surface break. :)

Weird to be in a foreign country and hear someone call your name!

Or how about when Sue's tablemate (a vet) slipped me 1000 Acepromazine sedative tabs for the Beast?!?!? :)

Nicely said and I have to agree. We have all said the DISers were the fun part, but this is the first time some wrote it all out like this. We sure did have fun.

Speaking of the Beast....

Mike had a genius idea last night (at least when he told me what he was doing and I thought "genius" in a very sarcastic way.) He thought maybe Maggie should be introduced to other parts of the house, not just trapped in the kitchen. Well, the only times she's been to other parts of the house is when we run her up and down the stairs to wear her out. So to her "other part of the house" means "crazytime."

I was on the 'puter, Mike was in the family room. Maggie laid down by me for awhile, then him. Then I went to the family room. She laid in there by Mike, put her head on him, slept. Then moved over, slept some more. Was very good, didn't get into any trouble!! At one time, Mike got up from his laptop (it was on the DIS) and Maggie laid down right in front of it. It looked like she was getting ready to type a post. I tried to get the camera but she got up.

Today she's spent time with us in the school room. Now she's in the sunroom. She's behaving very nicely. I think she knows she's walking on thin ice!

Maybe it's the Acepromazine!

I would have to agree that most of the magical moments on this cruise were caused by DIS'ers.

A few for me are:

Arriving at the port and immediately finding the Scuba and Goose families and getting to be at the front of the line with them. Then having a DIS family photo taken and being announced on the ship as the DIS family.

Knowing so many people on the ship and interacting, especially the unexptected times like Shari & Staci waving to us from their balcony in Key West, Stacey & Jay waving from their balcony in St. Lucia, running into Phil and Tracey at Coki beach, and the list could go on and on!

Finding that not matter what show or talk we went into that there were others there to enjoy it with. Like the DVC presentation where we had a full table, Ducky's first show where a number of DISers won sketches, the trivia contest I was at with Teresa, Walt and Paul. Even knowing that it was DISers that won the big jackpot - it was all fun.

Sharing very special times with people. Like Stacy's vow renewal and going to Christmas Eve mass with Teresa.

Most of all the caring and sharing nature of everyone. We had made the buttons our gifts to eveyone. We it truly was a magical voyage as it always seemed someone was sharing and giving. From little trinkets like Linda's paying her pirate debt with gold, or David's giving us flashlights for pirates night to larger things like the wine party and special pins and custom ornaments. Each and every gesture was truly appreciated.

Many in our families and others on the cruise might not understand what it is like to sail with "friends we never met". The only thing I think is better will be "sailing again with friends we have met"

Speaking of the Beast....(snip)

She's behaving very nicely. I think she knows she's walking on thin ice!

She just fell through the thin ice. GRRRR. I spoke too soon. Took her out to run her around. Throwing the bumper and all that. 20 minutes later, I go to head in. She heads right for the mud pit in the backyard. She starts digging in the mud and the standing water. TOTALLY ignoring every command I give her. I'm kicking myself for not having her collar on her or she'd have at least paid attention to me! Finally, when all else fails, I trick her (the bribes, lies and threats work in the animal kingdom sometimes)....

She's 200 feet away, digging happily in the mud, doing her best "I'm deaf" routine....

until I say, in a singsongy voice...."MAGGIE, WANT TO GO FOR A RIDE???"

She sprints to the door as a blur and I grab her collar and throw her into her crate. Forgot to tell her it was a very, very slow ride that never leaves the kitchen!

In the meantime I'm looking at my thumb which has a chunk out of it from where she tried to grab the bumper before I let it go. And feeling the bruises form on my legs from where she held the string of the bumper then shook her head, turning the bumper into a lethal weapon.

Careful, GaRry....the younger cruises might feel disinfranchised that you're leaving them out. ;)

Thinking about you guys often and keeping you in my prayers. God bless, GaRry! :grouphug:

Linda, Linda, Linda...... just wait till I see you in 127 days..........:earseek:

Jim, the "how to get wine onboard" thread posed a question....did you want to handle it? :duck: :duck: :duck:

"I read a post a while back about bringing a carafe on board. Did anyone hear if that happened?"

Karen

Have you seen the sun yet. We are starting to become kind of pruney out here in Southern California. :umbrella:

I'll take a look and maybe stir the pot a bit.
