A mask does not have to be expensive, but it needs to fit. That is the most important point. The easiest way to check the fit is to simply hold it up to the face, without the strap on it, and slightly breath in through the nose. The mask should form a seal and hold onto the face for a short time.
We have used the Walmart with the kids and they seem to work okay, but I also know that the worst experience is to be out in the water and have someone complaining that their mask is leaking. It's really spoils a great time. Takes all the fun out of it.
You may want to try Ron Jon first and see what they have and if they are responibly priced. If not, go to the Walmart in Coca.
Thanks Jim, and hope the early morning wake up works out okay. Good job making breakfast!
I'm actually planning on this mask primarily for the lesson. If it fits well, then he can use it on the excursion. It sounds like wal mart does have them down there, which was my main concern. Our stores have been out of them for a while (wonder why??)
Have a great day! And Sharon, HAPPY PACKING!
