Doggone. I was talking to myself, and Jim still snuck in the TOP!

The kids are off for their Wyld Life Winter Weekend. I sent them with winter coats and gloves, but there were lots of kids at the pickup point wearing a light jacket. It was in the high 50s, low 60s here yesterday, but the forecast for their camp? Dry (thank God!), but lows in the 30s, highs in the high 40s. Don't any of them have PARENTS??????

So what did DH and I do with our quiet evening? Bought DS his final stocking stuffer and picked up Quizno's to bring home. Yep, real party animals here! Couldn't even find a good movie to rent. Every time he looked at something I said "Oh, that's going to be showing on the cruise!!" So we came home and he watched Lord of the Rings on TV while I wrapped up the kids gifts and the ones for their teachers.

Today is choir practice, pick up travellers' checks, go to Lowes to gather our lights and faucets for the house, and make the carpet decision final. Then we come home and finish packing the dress clothes.

My packing list is now fully loaded into excel, with multiple sortable columns. Want to know exactly what we're taking for which person? I can sort it. What's in each bag? I can sort it. What's for WDW, what's for the cruise, and what's for both? Yep, got that sort too! Can you say AR????? Funny thing is that I'm not like this with ANYTHING else, just cruising!

Oh, Jim/Kevin. Snorkling question. I can't find DS's snorkling mask. DH thinks we threw it out in one of the garage cleanups. Do you think I can find a cheap set in an Orlando WalMart, or should we plan a stop at Ron Jons? Remember Kevin, you offered up working with the snorkling challenged kids during the at-sea days? I did find DH's mask (his is prescription). Would that work just to teach him how to do it, or does he need a kids sized one?

Did you two see the story on Yahoo main regarding warming relations between South Korea and Japan? Pretty interesting considering how Japan has treated Korea in the past. Then again the story is a little more about how Japan feels than SK... :bitelip:

Matt has a mid-term testing to day for TKD. This one is on pressure points. Thankfully he has not been practicing on us.

The big news is that Lisa is going out with the grandparents tonight, by herself. She is never invited out with the grandparents so this is a treat.

It just so happens the Matt is helping at TKD tonight so DW and I are going out on the town, at least for dinner. After spending all day packing, there won't be much energy left.

Hope Matt's testing goes well. Pressure points can be fun. We did have a pretty big guy who firmly believed in doing EVERYTHING at full strength. Working pressure points with him was NO FUN! The master finally talked to him because no one would work with him, and he left after a few months.

See my post below yours about our kid-less evening. Hope yours is more fun!

Ah hah, I was right, you guys are up and posting. I was in bed awake thinking of all the things I need to do and thought I might as well log on....I think Virgil has a term for this....Scuba-itis :flower1:

Too bad Kevin is not here to insert the corn picture.

Now to catch up on all the DIS from last night. I am here but might be quite a bit.. princess:
Jeri, Yep. It's getting down to that timeframe where once my eyes open, I start going through my mental lists.

Hmmm, where did I put the laundry soap? And what if our flight's a little late? Should we go to the BW first, or stop for groceries? Wonder what they'll have on the buffet? Wow, now that I can check the kids in at the terminal, that will free up time to do something else on board? Maybe I should use the in-laws Christmas money for my first ever spa treatment? and on and on and on! I even get to the point where I make a mental schedule of exactly how each day will go! That's when it's time to roll out of bed and DIS. At least you people understand my obsession!

Its probably best that ya'll rest up. It sounds like we will need all our energy for our vacation :jumping1:

Well, I'm off to finish wrapping the last teacher's gifts. And I think I'll lay all the dress clothes out so that they're ready to go in the garmet bag when I get home this afternoon. I'll try to check in later today. TTFN!

Grabbed that TOP! And I just saw that my 2600th post was on this thread!

I normally allow Kevin to post replys to the scuba and snorkling questions so they are all consistent, but he is still in bed.

A mask does not have to be expensive, but it needs to fit. That is the most important point. The easiest way to check the fit is to simply hold it up to the face, without the strap on it, and slightly breath in through the nose. The mask should form a seal and hold onto the face for a short time.

We have used the Walmart with the kids and they seem to work okay, but I also know that the worst experience is to be out in the water and have someone complaining that their mask is leaking. It's really spoils a great time. Takes all the fun out of it.

You may want to try Ron Jon first and see what they have and if they are responibly priced. If not, go to the Walmart in Coca.

I just made a BIG mistake....I forgot to turn the alarm off this morning and it woke up Sharon. Of course I was already up and gone. She had to turn it off.

If you want to live a long and healthy life, DO NOT WAKE UP SHARON.

I'm off to make breakfast as a peace offering. What a way to start a day that the kids are going to be gone.

If we have to stand there until 1 a.m. drinking illegal wine, we promise to wait for the GREEN one!!

Do you know how long I stood on my balcony in August, waiting for the green one to go by so I could take that picture for you??? Two cups of coffee, by the time I took the picture, I had to go so bad, the camera shook. That's why it's so blurry!

Your posts always make me laugh...what a gift, thank you. :flower1:

My original intent was pirate outfits for the whole family. Then it was pirate outfits for the kids. KT has hers, but Nick doesn't have one. Maybe we'll dress tropical.

I like the Survivor Buff idea. Although, I'm more like Twila--a one piece bathing suit and NEVER even THINK Of wearing the buff as a tube top!!! :earseek: :earseek:

I'm glad KT has her pirate outfit already, but she is tiny enough to wear the Survivor Buff as a top, a dress, etc. Lisa has a Survivor Buff (her favorite show) and when she got it a couple of years ago she tried it on every which way. She was small enough to wear it as a top, but alas she knows her father would not allow that outside the house. He has "rules" for her dress and at this point in her life, she listens and obeys those rules. (The teen years should be fun)

He did make breakfast for me and I have enjoyed my pancakes and coffe reading the boards. Today is my day to pack, so I guess it was ok the alarm woke me up (I LOVE to sleep in on the rare occassions I can). I won't need an alarm next Saturday. See ya in the terminal for the beginning of a great vacation. :cool1: :cool1:

Good Morning Cruisers!!!
Only 3 1/2 more days of work for me!!!!! Hopefully today won't be too bad... have to go to DW work Xmas party tonight - and then have a bunch over for dessert.... AND I have to keep my mouth shut around her CEO - he's an *ss and got into an email battle with her last week.... of course I helped write her's and made him look foolish - he's a lame duck that nobody likes (found a wife to be on the net in New Zealand)....DW could've written her emails - but she was so mad - and she says I BS better than her....

Hope that everybody stays safe and warm....

The Magic does look beautiful!

OhioMinnie - glad to hear I'm back in your good graces.....

Frances and Lauren will both be participating in the ornament exchange.... Frances dug up 2 cute little ornaments to bring... she was actually excited about it....

We got our pirate costumes yesterday.... I ordered from cdockpirates.com - and they look ok....it'll be fun... DW figures what the heck - if it'll keep me quiet - she'll wear one too..... I ordered Kristin's from buycostumes.com as I needed to get her something in a teen size.... it offended her - until I told her that the adult sizing started at 6-8..... she wears a 3.... so - she's happy now... not sure what's she's gotten herself into....with all these crazy DISers.....

Be back in a bit!
