Yeah, that sounds good...I like the sound of it...

Mr. Scuba....you'd better bring a crystal carafe. I bet my parent's cat 6 room that you would and they'll be a bit miffed if they're denied passage!! ;)

It's nice you bet your parents room.

They can always just bunk with you.

Look at that, we get home, and everyone leaves. I'm getting a complex.

How are we going to get to 25,000 if everyone keeps going to WDW? At least we still have Stacey.

Off to read the wine carafe thread.

Congrats to the Teens on 1000 posts! Alicia is not happy that she missed it.

I thinking I'll pirate: 25,000 next Friday or Saturday morning while you are all making your way to the port.

Pretty soon it will just be Sharon and I on DIS posting to each other, using the same computer.

I guess when that happens we will follow the advise of TinksDad, "want to make out? puckerup: puckerup: "

but off to bed for me now. Puppy school tomorrow and then we're going to our friend's house for the evening (remember the friend who's dh died suddenly and unexpectedly this spring?)

Are you taking the puppy this time or training one of the kids again?

And people think I mean to my kids. I've only had Matt where a dog collar one time.

ORNAMENT EXCHANGE

We were at wal*mart. The kids decided they wanted to get ornaments for the ornament exchange. Then KT said "it's too bad we'll be the only kids there."

SO there is the challenge.....get your KIDS to the ornament exchange!!!! ;)
My kids will probably go for this. Remember that we're buying something on the trip (land or sea), since I'm not breaking out my decorations at home.

My kids did ask me what size the tree will be in our room. I said "you know there's no room for a Christmas tree in the staterooms". They said "No, at the Boardwalk. You said it's like an apartment." rofl! I said that all over the resorts they'll have trees bigger than the one at our Damon's (their measure of a BIG tree), and that was fine with them!

Good afternoon everyone :wizard:

Our itinerary: (so far anyway)
12/16 DH posts grades for the semester as quick as possible and we get the heck out of here and head to the MouseHouse....driving.

12/17 Hang around the MouseHouse while they fix the outside GFI outlets.... then hopefully Candlelight processional at Epcot for a final kick of holiday spirit.

12/18 Barring any surprise pin release at WDW... head to the port early and get in line behind the Scubas. I will be the one toting the pin bags.
Noon/oneish: Run for Palo ressies then eat tons of those wonderful shrimp in Parrot Cay.

12/28 Cry and cling to the rail of the ship since I won't want to get off. Once they throw me over the side.. head to WDW for DVC Merry Member Mixer. Have not "skated over to dvcmember.com" yet for the info... anyone know when and where this is being held? Then head back south to pick up the babies, turn around and head right back to spend New Years at the MouseHouse. We'll be there until 1/2/05
I think Leslie will be the last post pre-cruise from a home computer. You know the scubas will leave before her, so Leslie, you can get it and say "Bottom" and really mean it!!!!

So I can't catch up...let's see what I did see so far (and how I can boost my post count to 300):

Jeri, I was sorry to read about the break-in...not sure if you posted a follow-up, but I hope things are more settled now.
Dee I was just thinking it had been a while since we'd heard from you. Glad to have you back!!! See you in just a few short days.

I loved Sophie's World. Havent narrowed the list of books I am bringing from below:
1. A Salty Piece of Land (new Jimmy Buffett & comes with single cd new song) unless I finish before
2. Body Double - Tess Gerritsen
3. The Society - Michael Palmer (someone on this board recommended this, it looks really good)
4. State of Fear - Michael Crichton
5. Metro Girl - Janet Evanovich
Ooooh OOOOHHH! (Yes, I'm old enough to remember Arnold Horse SHACK) that was me! I've also read Metro Girl. Quick read, not as good as the Stephanie Plum books but fun. And I didn't know Micheal Crichton had a new one out. I know who I'm trading with now!!!

You are right. We will be leaving earlier than most people on Saturday morning.

I just know it will start to get lonely out here on DIS toward the end of the week. People will be to busy with MVMCP to post anything.

Linda
Rex will be 12 in March. Tink & Woody are 2-1/2 (littermates) Jessie was 4-1/2... she had a rare form of cancer in her snout and we had to take her yesterday afternoon to be put to sleep, it had invaded her nasal cavity to the point where she was having difficulty breathing.  It's been a rough 4 months.

Diana - Congrats on the Scuba Mickey pin! I have that one... but there are SO many that I still need. The Walt Suite AC is one I've been after for a while. Hopefully we'll get some pins on this cruise that I can trade to fill the holes in my DCL AC collection.
Leslie, my sympathies are with you and your DH as well. Such a sorrow.

She's a petite skinny thing... but don't get in the way of her meat....

She's my animal lover, horserider, etc... A vegetarian if there ever was one.... BUT She feels that God created cows to eat......

pirate: TFD
LOL! My DD decided she wanted to be a vegitarian about 3 days before Thanksgiving in 2003. Now turkey is one of her favorite foods, so I said "are you sure you want to do this now?" Oh yes mom. You know how much I love animals. It just must not be right to eat them. I think she made it a day and a half!

Virgil, I was kidding about the Pepsi...you don't have to get mine, too.
But I really am stopping to get some, I'll go crazy without it for 10 days.
Do you think I'd cause a ruckus if I asked on the main boards if it was okay to bring a liter bottle of Pepsi to dinner with me????

I was thinking about posting this too! I can just see it now. "Anyone who isn't satisfied with the DCL soda choices must be too cheap to ...." This used to get talked about occasionally when you had to buy a mug or a soda card. Some people just don't get that it isn't ALWAYS about the $$, it's about the choice!

YOU ARE A GENIUS!! THANK YOU!!

Oh my, why didn't I know about this sooner?????

I forgive you for what you said about me! :)

Count me in as another one who didn't know you could do this!!! I like it! I have become the queen of the back button. It's way too easy to lose your place on this thread!

oh my gosh! we are pretty much a week away!! i can hardly contain myself and i still can't believe that it's finally here!!!!! :Pinkbounc

just out of curiosity...and is someone still getting that shirt for me? gus? just making sure...sorry i've been busy and haven't been good at keeping up with the boards!

Sugaswim, I'm willing to pick it up for you. Can you please pm me with some more details as to color, size, design, and where you saw it? I also would like a price range that you're willing to pay, since Gus's search came back with a price quite a bit higher than you remembered.

I can have it in my carry on at the port, but if it's a surprise for your dad, let me know so I can get it to you discreetely (okay, I need Karen's spelling dictionary cause I don't think that's right!). You can recognize me from my picture on Mary's page. I haven't changed too much. Long strawberry blond hair, glasses, about 5'4", and on the smaller side. Will have a fuzzy haired preteen daughter with glasses, a crewcutted 11 year old boy, and a short dark haired guy with a beard and glasses with me. I'll be the one saying "Kaylie, Casey, STOP THAT!" A LOT!!!

Hey, I'm not the only one awake this morning! But Jim, you were here a lot later than me last night.

Good morning though.

I'd guess Mary's probably on too, but I just haven't gotten to her posts yet. She's always up early.

I'm just about caught up. Plenty of time to get ready for choir practice!

Matt has a mid-term testing to day for TKD. This one is on pressure points. Thankfully he has not been practicing on us.

The big news is that Lisa is going out with the grandparents tonight, by herself. She is never invited out with the grandparents so this is a treat.

It just so happens the Matt is helping at TKD tonight so DW and I are going out on the town, at least for dinner. After spending all day packing, there won't be much energy left.

Ah hah, I was right, you guys are up and posting. I was in bed awake thinking of all the things I need to do and thought I might as well log on....I think Virgil has a term for this....Scuba-itis :flower1:

Too bad Kevin is not here to insert the corn picture.

Now to catch up on all the DIS from last night. I am here but might be quite a bit.. princess:
