It was on in the background, but I was busy cleaning up all the remodeling stuff in my bedroom/bathroom area. Amazing what a mess ppl make when they know they don't have to clean it up!! ;) But I gotta love my dad for coming down and helping out!!!!

I didn't catch the final score, but I was rooting for U of M to win. See, I want them to have an AWESOME record when they come to town November 20th. Our season is blown....we won't even go to the toilet bowl. So now the goal for the Buckeyes should be to RUIN U of M's record! :earseek:

Did you hear they almost renamed the game?? Apparently for $1M dollars, it was going to become the SBC Mich%$#$-Ohio State Classic  Luckily they nixed the idea when there was an outcry from the fans, alumni and....well, the PRESIDENT of U of M who found out about it by reading it in the paper! :earseek:

Btw, I don't think I ever told you this....but I love your state. My nephew was born there--He had the privledge of being the LAST baby born at some Cedar Rapids hospital in 1989!!! :) I went to visit when he was a newborn...spent about a week. I loved it there. Very friendly people and very calm and laid back atmosphere. :)

A: Are you crazy? HELLO ..... Cocoa beans ... another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around!

Too funny!! I actually USE this as an argument. Of course, I also add that it's MILK chocolate, and milk is a dairy food, loaded with Calcium, so therefore good for you!!! ;)

Question re: REAS

If I book REAS and dh doesn't want to do the massage, can I do it twice? Or can my mom and I do it? If my mom and I can do it, can we do it separate times or do we have to do it together in the same room?

TIA.

It was an AWSOME game! I was watching. GO BLUE
MSU did play some great ball, but U of M didn't let me down, it was a real nail biter!

Those boys really want to go to the Rose bowl
Look Out Buckeyes....

I knew you had a repressed love of our state and were just afraid to admit it due to where you live. lol (just kidding)

The score you missed was 45-37 Michigan!!!!!!

I remember the year we had a perfect season and U of M ruined it for us. Time for paybacks ;)

Very convenient that you snipped out my talk about the state of IOWA. You oughta give IOWA a try. :)

I DO love the OSU/U of M rivalry. It's fun to jab at ya. Hope you don't take it personally. :)

This is exactaly what he has in mind. Not sure if doc will tell him no work but if wearing a mask (for training) causes problems I'm not thinking I want him wearing one into a fire. :firefight No No NO.

I stopped to see Garry at work and he had to actually do some. It is very very windy here and many wires down, which have to be investigated to make sure they are not electrical ones that might hurt someone. Since he left me all alone, I needed someone to talk to. :chat: :wave2:

GaRry...can you go on light duties?

Our light duties include delivering mail or stock or equipment. (non emergency stuff )
Can you do that until the nose bleeds stop?

Either that just book sick.........

We want you nice and healthy for the cruise.

That was a very fun game to watch. :Pinkbounc :bounce: We were unbiased on the winner, but really enjoyed the action. Of course we were a bit miffed  that it went so long and made the USC/WSU game late, so we missed the first quarter and half the second. Now THAT was a game we ejoyed. :teeth: :cheer2: Still #1

Here's what we decided:
Key West: Glassbottom Boat
St. Maarten: Under 2 Flags Island Tour
St. Lucia: Pirate Excursion
Antigua: Antigua Island Tour
St. Thomas: since it's Christmas we're going to hang out, see whatever is around the dock and make it a low key day. Mike and I (and maybe the kids) may do the Tramway.
CC: maybe rent bikes if we feel energetic

Looks like we will be on the Antigua Tour together. :D Will be fun to have someone we know with us.

Subject: Social security

After retiring, I went to the social security office to apply for
Social Security, the woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry but I seemed to have left my wallet at home. "I will have to go home and comeback later."

The woman says, "Unbutton your shirt." So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She says, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" ! and she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the social security office. She says, "You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability too."

I got some Christmas presents wrapped today. Big kids are just getting $$. They like that. ;) So, just need to buy a couple more. My goal is to have everything bought and wrapped by Thanksgiving as everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) comes to our house for that day and thru the weekend. We are having 46-50 this year. 4 are not yet sure if they can come. We can just send gifts home with them and be done with it.

Get to turn the clocks back tonight. I like that extra hour of sleep. :teeth:

Another TOP!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: pirate:

Okay, just got out of meetings here in Atlanta. Stuck all day from 8 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. tonight.

The only thing that has me awake is reading those great posts and feeling the excitement and anticipation of our cruise. Wish I could have seen the Magic in port today!

But on a bright note.................this time next Sat. p.m. we (me and the DH) will have just landed at MCO for my meetings. Play on Sunday and Monday at WDW, meeting Tue (Tue night free), Wed meeting, then fly home Wed. night.

Fly back to SL at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Maybe I can get another bump and get some more $$$$$$$ for a future flight!!!

Linda

Dee- glad you watched the DVD and enjoyed it! Can't wait for our cruise.

Does anyone know where I can get any DCL merchandise when I am in Florida next weekend? I looked at the parks and at the outlets. The outlets told me they occasionally get some stuff, I thought I'd check there next weekend.

Do I need to take a leisurely drive over to the port? And I can't remember, but is there a little gift shop in the terminal before you get on the ship? I just want to get the grandkids a couple of little teasers.

Linda

Linda, I think the only place you can get DCL merchandise is on a ship. But you know, the Wonder does a 3 day weekend cruise. ;)

Leilani thanks for the (multiple) laughs. It's good to know that chocolate is a vegetable serving. It's tough getting in five servings of the rest of the group sometimes.

LeiLani......after my long day, I really enjoyed that laughs....the "friends" one had me ROFLMAO!

Waiting for my wandering children to get home. It's almost 11:30. Too bad Megan doesn't remember that they aren't 23 like she is!
And I've been informed that our "extra" daughter is with them, and will be spending the night (what's left of it), all day tomorrow, and going to our friends' house tomorrow night with us. I'm beginning to get really serious about demanding child support. She's only about 4'8", but she eats twice as much as my kids do! Ahhh, if I didn't like her, I wouldn't let her come! She's a cutie.

I am almost completely finished with all of my pre-cruise packing (except the clothes). Just need to do my carry-on, and I'm all done.
Christmas presents wrapped, boxed, and ready to ship, cards written, addressed and stamped.....
Before you think I'm looney (don't EVEN go there!) I need to have this all done because:
A. Like you guys already said....I felt like I was running out of time.
B. I have my liability audit coming up to prepare for.
C. Need to start to compile the data for my business taxes.
D. (Poor me) I have to have Thanksgiving here. That will set me back at least a week.
E. I'm a nut case. (Oops, forgot, we weren't going to go there)

Jared went to his first Jr High dance last night. I'm told by his sister that he even danced! I would have paid an awful lot of money to see that! Hard to imagine, my baby was dancing with a girl! It's just too hard to imagine. Next time, I hope we don't have our ball games, because I swear, I'm going to sneak into the gym and watch! (Bad Mommy)

I guess I must have slept funny, or done something wrong today. My back has hurt all afternoon worse than it has in a long time. I have four broken vertebra that so far can't be repaired. The last doctors I saw were at Barrow Neurological Institute, and even they said it was too risky.
Anyway, I could hardly sit through dinner, it hurt so bad. So, no movie for us. Went over to our friends' house, and then came home. After 1 1/2 Vicodin, the pain is now just a dull ache. If I take another half, I may be able to get some sleep.
How come the Moms always wait up for the kids to come home? My DH is sound asleep......but won't be, once the herd comes through the door! :scared1:
